Deciding which type of custody is best for both you as a parent and your child can be difficult. There are two main types of custody that you as a parent can establish: Legal Custody: establishes a parent's right to make key decisions for the child, including those regarding education, religion and medical care. Physical Custody: establishes with which parent a child lives. You won't know your options until you meet with me to talk about your situation and your history.
