When I got a Negligent Driving 2nd Degree ticket I was sure I didn't fit the definition and could explain this. As the date neared I realized how serious the ticket was and realized I needed help. I did some internet research and decided Jon had the experience I needed, but I was impressed when he answered his own phone, clearly explained the charge, immediately got a continuance, and responded quickly the couple times I had follow-up questions. As the court date approached he provided all necessary information to me. Jon had done his homework and convinced the court the police officer had not produced sufficient evidence that I had driven negligently and the case was dismissed within a few minutes. I had read Jon's previous client reviews and thought he was either too good to be true or he was extremely dedicated and competent. I can now tell you the answer is that he is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated and competent. He is your dream attorney when you need one. If you are reading this looking for a traffic attorney, then this is the guy for you. I would hire him and recommend him to my friends and family without hesitation. He is honest, hard-working, responsive, cares about his clients and helps you feel like you have a strong defender when you need one. Thanks Jon! I hope to never need you again, but if I do, I wouldn't even think of calling anyone else. Your flat fee was affordable and knowing what this would cost was a relief in addition to you making me feel less worried on that first call.

This was my first speeding ticket, so I was stressing a bit. Jon made this process so simple; all I had to do was email him a copy of the ticket and hearing date and he took care of the rest. The case was dismissed! It only took about 5 minutes of my time! How great is that!

I unfortunately was tagged for 2nd degree negligible driving. Apparently, I switched lanes too quickly. Despite, the judge and the opposing party seemed determined to teach me a lesson, despite my record being 100% clean. At the end of the day, the judge reduced by fee but continued to press the full charge of the initial ticket. Zimmerman worked around the clock to make sure that despite the final verdict, 2nd degree negligible driving was NOT put on my record. I'm not sure what he did, but he surely worked his magic. Jon is a fantastic attorney. I would be writing this same review whether he had won my case or not, the fact that we won made it that much nicer. Jon took my case when no one else would and made it clear that his goal IS to keep peoples records clean and that it was very important to him. I had never hired an attorney before and I had many questions, Jon answered them all rapidly and put my mind at ease. Jon had me properly prepare for the court date and when the time came he took over and took care of everything. At the end of the day my ticket, 19mph over, was reduced to a non-moving violation. I had never worked with a lawyer before and was recommended to Jon through a friend. He was awesome is explaining everything to me about my teenager's speeding ticket and the options. Then, I got a ticket! The first speeding ticket in my life (in a school zone). I was going 32 in what I thought was a 35m.h zone. He was able to get the ticket dismissed. But even more important than that, all my phone or email conversations have been clear and concise with wit to boot! He still is working on my daughters case and hopefully will get the same results... I am very happy with his care and professionalism and would definitively recommend him and would use him again (but hopefully won't have to :-)). Thank you Jon!!

Jon did a great job for me. I got a ticket from the Covington police out near Maple Valley/Convington border for 16 miles per hour over the limit. I had no idea what I was going to do.
My wife who is an attorney mentioned another ticket lawyer who might have been able to get it reduced to a non-moving violation, but that other lawyer basically runs an assembly line ticket law-firm and they didn't even TRY to get tickets dismissed, so I would have still had to pay. I searched and found Jon on Avvo and after seeing all the glowing reviews I decided to give him a try. Jon is very courteous and responsive. Jon answers his own phone! He actually talks to you and does not foist you off onto other lawyers or paralegals. Jon is the one who represents you in court personally. To give you an idea of this man's dedication he wrote back to me and spoke with me on the phone even though his father had recently died and he had to leave town briefly to handle it. Jon told me exactly what to do and when to do it. It was so easy. I just mailed my ticket back to the court as contested, and I also sent him a copy and that was it. For a low flat fee he took care of the rest. Jon can talk to you over the phone and he can also communicate with you over email, so he makes it very convenient. Jon emailed me after my hearing date to give me the great news. Total ticket dismissal! I also have to say Jon has a great sense of humor, which is evident from his emails, and he has a zeal and passion for law that you would not expect from most lawyers. He is not some robotic ticket attorney, this guy is charismatic and brilliant at what he does. He even took the time to explain to me exactly how the proceedings had occurred and how the ticket had been dismissed. Good guy, would definitely buy him a beer anytime. After looking up many reviews online, it looked like I didn't have too good of shot of winning. But as I am a stubborn person, I decided to hire Jon Zimmerman to fight and hopefully dismiss it. Jon and i talked about many different ways of approaching the ticket, possible outcomes, if it was worth fighting, or if I should take the $100 non moving violation ticket instead of the $134 moving violation. Jon's advice to me was to take the offered deal. But then he asked me, "if this is goin to keep you awake every night, lets fight it." Instantly I said yes, lets do it. I told Jon everything from when i had gotten stopped, asked some questions about my car (why i changed the exhaust, who owned the car, etc..). The day of court I show up and he has the plan of how to go about it. When you go up on the stand, you can either narrate what happened that day and why you believe its not illegal, or Jon can have you answer questions. For me this was a relief because if you word a statement the wrong way they can turn that right around against you. When Jon was questioning me, he words his questions just the right way to where it was easy for me. We ended up winning the case. Jon is great at what he does, I would highly recommend Jon to anyone in need of a good lawyer. If and when there is a next time, he is definitely #1 on my list.

My 16-yr old son received a speeding ticket. He said he wasn't speeding; we decided to contest it. Jon represented him, outcome: case dismissed for lack of evidence. In court, Jon appeared well-prepared, business-like, and worked well with the judge and staff (we did not need to attend, but did so to observe the proceedings as this ticket was a "first" in our family) . My son doesn't have a ticket on his record and our insurance rates weren't affected.

I contacted Jon after receiving a speeding ticket in Snohomish county. Jon took care of everything. He attended the hearing for me, and got the ticket dismissed. There were a couple of times where I didn't hear anything for a while (just me being curious as to what was happening, not periods when filings were due), but Jon got back to me within a couple of days. I will absolutely use Jon again if I get another ticket.

Jon was excellent. He got my school zone speeding ticket dismissed (which I shouldn't have received in the first place). He went to my court date for me and just took care of it! Amazing; piece of cake. Paying him cost more than the ticket itself, but not the amount our insurance would've gone up, so it was worth it. I received a ticket in Whitman County going 29 in a 20 on the campus of WSU. I called every lawyer in Pullman, Spokane, Moscow and Ritzville. Every law office either said they did not want to take on the speeding ticket (told me I would not get if off) or they referred me to another office. After multiple days of dead ends I came along Jon Zimmermans name online, as I started to call Seattle offices and see if they would take on an eastern Washington ticket, he said he would. He charged me $550 but worth every penny. I had held off on the ticket once I got a hold of Jon as it was my first time dealing with a lawyer on my own and I got extremely sick. Then two days before I was supposed to be in court my roommate told me she had this piece of mail for me, which was the hearing date. Angry and frustrated I called Jon that day and he worked his magic and had it rescheduled for a time he could come into town. After putting it off and forgetting about it her really showed his effort toward his clients. I am 23 years old and have had a few previous speeding tickets and cannot have anymore or my insurance will drop me. Then a year later got a ticket going 74 in a 60 on 195 from Pullman to Spokane. Immediately called Jon and he got that one off too. I would recommend Jon to anyone trying to get a ticket off in Washington State, I hope this referral shows my enthusiasm for finding such as workable lawyer that cares about his clients.

I contacted Jon to help with a "Failure to Yield" ticket in Chehalis, --and a very expensive one at that. I respect and value the services of Law Enforcement, but in this case they had a rather liberal definition of "Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle" which did not apply. Although the circumstances of my case seemed unique, Jon did his homework and was able to find a very similar case that could be used in my defense. With Jon's help, it was proven that no infraction had occurred and the ticket was dismissed. My driving record (and my wallet) are still intact. Thanks Jon!

I got a speeding ticket on I-5 in Lewis county. I had already signed up with pre-paid legal and they basically told me to just pay the ticket and would not even try to fight it. Jon had helpped me with another ticket a few years ago, so I figured I call him on this one. Jon was eager to help me and took care of everything. My experience with Jon was really good in that my ticket was dropped and I didn't have to pay a fine or show up in court. His communication could be improved, I felt like I wasn't kept in the loop and I had to keep on trying to pull information out of him. The email responses became much shorter and long in coming after I had paid the fee. I never did get a clear answer on what happened with my ticket so I don't know why it was dropped and that is a bit annoying. Ultimately, though, he did get the really important stuff right and that is why I'd recommend him.

Lawyer's Comment: Low flat fees allow this office to handle matters expeditiously and successfully. A client gets good value for money, but should not expect lots of e-mails and extra communications, as flat fees pay for attorney review and court and the client is not charged hourly fees. The crucial issue is that the ticket was dropped.

Speeding in a national park is a criminal offense and costs significantly more to hire a lawyer, so you may try to beat it on your own, but I'm not sure that a good record and story is enough. Jon will find the errors you don't know about and has the professional relationships to negotiate successfully. When the PA asked me if I knew what my perfect driving record was worth, I replied, "Its worth what I'm paying this guy (Jon)!" And it was worth every penny to keep a criminal offense, no matter how insignificant, off my record.

I've used Jon on two occaissions so far and he has been great on both counts. One was for a criminal infraction and the other a simple traffic infraction. Jon was able to get the criminal infraction lowered to a traffic citation that was removed at the end of my probabtion period and was able to charges dismissed for the traffic infraction. I was issued a speeding ticket, accused of racing (which was absolutely not happening) and felt unfairly treated by the officer who pulled me over (in my opinion he took his authority too far).

It started really well considering the first ticket I brought to jon was not a pretty one and I thought I was done. Well he assured me that everything would be fine. The day he was in court I was eager to hear from him, he called me as he was walking out of court and simply said "Dissmissed" I dont think one word has ever made me feel so good in my entire life. Since that day I use Jon's services for everything possible and follow his advice on all matters. Metaphorically speaking Jon Zimmerman is the Ferrari of Attorneys and to top it off he is a really cool guy!

As such, notice was cut short and the first hearing, as the client noted, was missed. I was pulled over and ticketed for going 65 in a 60 in the express lanes of I-90, at 5:30 in the morning. I was furious. There have been times when this may have been the case, but I was not speeding on this occasion.

Jon is knowledgeable and understands how the court system works. He is a good traffic lawyer. My only frustration is that the first appearance at the court he didn't seem to have prepared or read the case, so he would postpone the court date for another time. I felt that it would have been a much better experience if he would have studied the case and find out who the judge is before hand, such that I don't have to waste one travel. On the actual court date, he was able to negotiate for "inattention" so that it won't show up on my traffic record but I still have to pay for the ticket. I think he has done a good job.

Lawyer's Comment: This review brings up some very good points. It's always important to retain an attorney far in advance of the hearing so that the attorney can read and prepare the case BEFORE the hearing. Often, it is impossible to obtain copies of tickets days or weeks in advance of the hearing if the client retains the attorney rather late in the process (less than a few weeks before the hearing). Sometimes, the attorney only has a choice of obtaining copies at the last minute or not taking the case at all. When an attorney accommodates a last-minute client, sometimes the most prudent course of action is a continuance to another date.
Also, judges change at the last minute because of illness, vacations, calendaring of cases, and other matters. We attorneys have no control over this. As a result, attorneys often don't know who the judge in a particular case will be until the day of the hearing. We do try our best to prepare with the information that's available. I have worked with two other lawyers for traffic tickets and although they both also got my cases dismissed, I felt that John was by far more responsive, honest, interested and sincere. He was able to dismiss an accident case for me; this is for a case where I was not able to attend, however, the other driver did! He seems very knowledgable and I appreciate his devotion to this jobs. At times, I received calls back from him at 7 pm...that's devotion! He also did not sugar coat my chances of winning and was honest and responsive to all of my questions (now that's hard to come by!) I appreciate the fact that John took my case seriously and seemed adamant about resolving it. This was a difficult case and thanks to him, my insurance company will have a higher chance at winning this case against the other insurance company. I definitely would recommend him to friends and anyone else. Lastly, when he called to give me the good news, he also went as far as informing me of the steps I could take to resolve this with my insurance company.

If it hadn't been for Jon Zimmerman, I could possibly be back in Florida right now, living with my parents, trying to save up enough to pay off my citations. I let my Florida tags expire shortly after I moved here, due to some problems with transferring the title from Florida (I was on the title with someone else) and the expense of getting your tabs here (the monorail tax alone ran almost $200). I was having a lot of financial trouble to boot. at some point I allowed my insurance lapse as well. Then a few months later, I got pulled over and fined for both (an over $700 ticket.) I quickly procured insurance and got tabs and steeled myself to beg for mercy in court, when only days later, I got pulled over and cited for the same offense, since my temporary tag had slipped out of the rear windshield, and my insurance paperwork was left on the printer at home.
Facing over $1500 in fines, I was terrified I'd have to move back to be able to lick my wounds and afford to pay off the violations. I wound up talking to Jon about it, since I knew him through the Jewish Community, and discovered to my surprise that he did traffic law, and wanted to start specializing in it. He suggested a couple of approaches that would help, and discussed the situation with me extremely knowledgeably. The choice to seek representation through him seemed obvious. After representing me in court on both tickets, he managed to reduce both fines by a large percentage, and get a portion of one waived almost entirely, due to a combination of the timing of the citations, my income, my history, my actions following the first citation, and points on which the city had been somewhat negligent that I was completely unaware of. His aggressively cavalier, yet still professionally fun and laid-back demeanor in his approach to the scenario went a long way to securing my victory. My over $1500 in fines quickly turned into 6 months of about $30/month in fines, which with careful planning, would not break me, even working a crappy job at minimum wage because I just graduated from college and relocated from across the country. I found his services to be absolutely invaluable. He seems to take each case extremely seriously, and besides giving me excellent results, consistently embued me with confidence during each conversation and meeting that the court date would go well if I followed the approach we agreed upon, and provided him with all the documents he needed... and his confidence was not unfounded. I don't think my trust could have possibly been more rewarded than having been rescued from having to skip town. Jon Zimmerman is unquestionably a true master in fighting speeding and traffic tickets. I know this to be a fact from personal experience, as I recently hired Mr. Zimmerman to fight 2 speeding tickets on my behalf (one in Bellevue, WA, and the other in Seattle, WA), and in both instances, Mr. Zimmerman was able to get the ticket dismissed by the court (i.e: I was off the hook entirely; I did not have to pay a single dime (to the court, or anyone else). My driving record is now still clean as a whistle, thanks entirely to Mr. Zimmerman, & my insurance premiums did not go up at all.
In both cases, I did not even have to show up at the courthouse. All I did was send in the ticket to the court, along with a copy to Mr. Zimmerman with a check for his quite reasonable flat fee (which covered the entire case/until had been settled/finalized, irrespective of how much time was involved, or how many times Mr. Zimmerman had to appear in court, which is quite significant, as in at least one of these two instances I am 100% certain that defending my cause consisted of Mr. Zimmerman going to court twice, and he had great news for me when he told me both tickets were dismissed. On the citation I received in Bellevue, WA, Mr. Zimmerman was not only faced with the typical challenges of attempting to obtain a dismissal for a moving violation. But was also handed a plethora of additional/abnormal obstacles, which to name a few were: 1) He had virtually no time to prepare (having never even met Mr. Zimmerman, I pulled his name from the web and called him at 5:15pm on a Wednesday afternoon, and Mr. Zimmerman was in the courtroom, on my behalf, at 7:45 am Thursday morning (that's correct, only 14 hours later) 2) He was provided absolutely no paperwork/documentation whatsoever (not even a copy of the citation), until after he was in the courtroom, in front of the presiding judge 3) He/I was scheduled to be in the courtroom/on the docket of whom I discovered after the fact was/is unquestionably the most hard assed (pardon my language) judge in the entire state of Washington 4) The extremely well prepared, well seasoned/experienced citing officer (whom had already submitted paperwork to the court, which confirmed/verified his radar detection equipment had been recently calibrated and serviced) had been subpoenaed, and was present/in attendance in the courtroom. 5) The option/chance of obtaining an extension of the court date/time, (to possibly attempt to correct my very likely foolish choice of subpoenaing the citing officer, have the opportunity to familiarize himself with my case and/or the police report, research explore all available options, etc., etc., etc.), which would normally be at the disposal of an attorney in this situation, had already been denied (and to be clear; this was due to a combination of my own idiocy/error and/or the hard-ass judge, but certainly not because any error on the part of Mr.. Zimmerman). ...and still, Mr. Zimmerman managed to get the speeding violation dismissed !!! If this is not true mastery, then I certainly do not know what you would consider it. Prior to Jon's fightoff traffic ticket I got my 1st traffic ticket from Tilamook during vacation in Oregon. When I contacted the legal advice of my group legal plan, the traffic lawyer over there just told me to pay the ticket since they need it for their local economy ( all they have is a cheese factory ). The discussion stops right at that point. As a result, I paid my fine and my insurace went up by a few hundred for a few yrs (and this is my FIRST traffic ticket with over 20 yrs of accident free driving exp). So I was quiet skeptical about all these lawyer in terms of what they offer in traffic ticket consulting. For my 2nd ticket that Jon fought off, my expericen is totally diff.
