Case Conclusion Date: January 15, 2010
Practice Area: DUI / DWI
Outcome: DMV susension lifted - complete victory
Description: Client moved from Georgia to California and applied for a driver license. California would not issue a license and suspended his driving privilege because he was convicted of a DUI in Georgia years earlier. California wanted client to complete a DUI class, and file an SR-22. We filed a Writ of Mandate arguing that client was a Georgia resident at the time of the prior conviction. Attorney General agreed to settle the case without a hearing and the suspension was lifted. Client can now get a California license.
