This was my first DUI arrest and Larry was able to get the charged dropped down to only Reckless Driving and I had a 0.207 BAC. He was very straightforward letting me know that there would be challenges with my case, but let me know that I would not be serving additional jail time and would get my license back ASAP. Larry gave me a list of tasks to complete before court and I can only recommend that if you were in my situation to do the same. He does respond to emails quickly, has a professional courtroom demeanor and knows the law.

I hired this attorney for my 3rd and 4th DUI's ( within 6 months of each other) and he did a fantastic job. He managed to get one pancaked on top of the other one, even though they were in two different counties. On top of that, I violated my probation on one therefore violating on the other as well and he managed to make it all go away with 6 mos. in jail. It could have been 5 years. I don't drink anymore, but if I did, I would definetly hire him again for DUI. I have recommended him to 3 other friends, 2 of whom have hired him and they are happy with their results as well.

Absolutely not Guilty!!!! I was not sure how to take that statement until the day I went to court. Larry Kohn is someone I hope not to see again however if I find myself, or anyone I care about, facing a DUI or other charges Larry Kohn is the "MAN". I was charged with a DUI (blew .132), reckless driving, no license, and improper turn in January of 2004 and never went to court until fall of 2011. I had a warrant for FTA. Never once stepped into a court room until a few weeks ago. I have been in trouble in the past with a couple DUI's "never convicted just charged" and was done dealing with the court system and choose to hide. For 7 years until I realized I needed to get my license back and stop the running. The day Larry meet me he said, I am not sure how this will go but we need to get the ball rolling. A week later he called me with news to show up in court the next day. I was very nervous and fully prepared to spend a day or more in jail. I arrived at court at 9 am and left at 10:30 am with all charges dropped and I plead guilty to improper lane change or something silly like that. WOW paid a 1000 dollar fine and went to get my license. The rest is history. If you are looking for an attorney look no further and call Larry Kohn.

Larry took on my case without realizing, while I had a great field test, my ride to jail wasn't so rosey. In my drunken state, conduct I would have never otherwise emulated, I gave the arresting officer an incredibly hard time. Like most people who've had to much to drink, I thought I was absolutely fine and couldn't understand what was happening. I regrettably cursed and cried and carried on. For someone who has NEVER been in trouble, and who does NOT make a habit of mingling with the law, I was petrified. In my state of turmoil my mouth got the better of me as I created a scene only a drunkard could. Larry was honest about the dire nature of my case and likely outcome. He was honest and told me he'd do all he could. In light of my circumstances Larry preceded to help me by utilizing the court system, judges and preliminary trials to avoid the actual designated date of my trial which resulted in a more lenient sentence. My charge was reduced to reckless driving and a DUI was avoided.
Why I'm writing this review is because my job depended on this hearing. With a DUI on my record, unable to EVER remove it, my ability to earn a living (at least at my current profession) would be over. Larry didn't take this lightly and gave me the best possible outcome. I would recommend him to anyone. Furthermore, Larry helps his clients with anything they might need. When a close friend was in need having newly moved to GA and facing charges due to failure to get a GA driver's license and tag in within 30 days, I reached out to Larry again. He put me in contact with his associate who took over the case and kept my friend out of a mess of trouble. He's a good man, a phenomenal lawyer, and he's on your team. Best. Larry Kohn is an excellent attorney. He represented me for my DUI case and also for the speeding ticket that I got while the DUI case was ongoing. As for the speeding ticket of 28 miles over, he got the judge to dismiss the ticket and dismiss all fines. My DUI case was extremely complicated. I received a DUI when I had a bad reaction to generic Ambien. I was impressed by Larry's knowledge of pharmaceuticals and the research he did for my case. He was quick to respond to any emails I sent. He repeatedly took the time to reassure me when I would become stressed over the case. When he reviewed the tape of the traffic stop, it became clear that I had no business being behind the wheel of my car, and yet Larry was able to get my DUI reduced to reckless driving. He is courteous, intelligent, and extremely good. I can not say enough good things about my experience.

I was arrested for theft of services and plead guilty to disorderly conduct on 7/22/11. I first met with Larry on 7/28/11. It is now 8/1/11 and Larry has successfully withdrawn my guilty plea, vacated my disorderly conduct conviction, reopened my case, and had it dismissed with the eligibility for expungement. Larry was on the ball from the minute I stepped into his office until I walked out of the courtroom. (completely free from any/all charges) He told me exactly what to do in order to get the results I wanted and it worked perfectly. He was extremely expeditious and kept me informed the entire time. I no longer have to show up at what was supposed to be my first probation meeting on 8/4/11 or pay any fines I was facing. It's almost like the incident never happened at all. All questions were answered within minutes of e-mailing him. If you want to get criminal charges dropped or lessened with the absolute best possible results, I highly recommend hiring Larry Kohn. He's a winner!

I had a DUI for refusing to blow. I had everything against me. The arresting officer was not in any way looking to help me out. As a matter of fact he was pushing for me to loose my license and everything that came along with the DUI charge. It was seriously looking like I was screwed but Larry caught a fault in the officers paperwork that got me a Reckless driving. All I have to do now is community service!! I would recommend Larry to any one that gets a DUI of any sort. For anyone that reads this, know this, you better take the charge seriously and get an experienced DUI lawyer not just an attorney a true DUI lawyer and if you want the DUI to go away all together get Larry Kohn even if this is your 1st or your 5th DUI. I also want you 1st timers like myelf to realize that DUI in Atlanta is like a business to the city and state they are not going to back down and they are going to come at you they want that money. So if you think they are going to go light because it is your 1st or because they have no proof ( refusing to blow), or that you were under 0.08. They will not! As I was in the courtroom watching the other defendants stand in front of the judge I was seeing these guys who had blown 0.03 and they charged him with a DUI less.?.?.? WTH is that? The state put a legal limit of 0.08 and these guys were way under and they were still getting DUI charges. The state is bankrupt and so is the city and they want us to pull them out of the hole. The hell with that.. I would recommend Larry Kohn every time. He is well worth the money. Again everything was against me and Larry caught a mistake by the arresting officer and all I got was DUI school, and community service. I did not loose my license I do not have a DUI on my record. I got a reckless driving. Oh and I got the DUI 1st of April 2011 and It was dropped July 18th 2011. So the case was over in 3.5 months none of this 2 yr stuff.. Thanks

After 45-years of never getting into any kind of trouble, my life was turned upsided down when I was charged with a DUI. Worse, as a pilot, it could have meant losing my pilots license, and possibly my career.
Larry's knowledge and experience of the law, the process, and the people involved in my case allowed him to negotiate a settlement with the prosocuter and judge that shielded me from the worst of the possible consequences. I'll admit I was partially skeptical at first when I hired Larry considering I didn't have much time between when I was arrested and when I had my first court date. I went ahead and went with him and he was great. The first couple months of my case I was worried because I didn't hear from him a lot but learned to trust his knowledge, skills, and way in the courtroom. The man knows his stuff and requires a "lay back and let me take it from here" attitude from his clients. Often difficult for many of us to do in a situation such as a DUI case that really is what you have to overcome and just let the man take care of it. After all, it is what you are paying him to do. Overall I'm very satisfied with Larry and his firm and would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone in my similar situation.

In 2009, I was involved in a car accident in which a police officer ran his red light and crashed into my car. Amazingly, I was charged with DUI and reckless driving when his fellow officer claimed I failed field sobriety tests. I found myself facing one of the most challenging predicaments of my life, not only from a legal--but also emotional and professional--perspective. A friend of mine who is an attorney recommended Larry Kohn and, now that the process is concluded, I can say without a doubt that choosing Mr. Kohn was the absolute best choice I could have made. Larry was absolutely amazing. First of all,unlike some other lawyers I went to who tried to brush aside the seriousness of the charges with false bravado and made promises above and beyond my wildest dreams, Larry was completely honest with me about how serious the situation was,and he walked me through absolutely everything to do with my case,and this before I even hired him!
He also kept tabs on me to make sure he was abreast of any new developments,etc that might impact the case,and at every turn he was extremely flexible and ready to adjust his approach accordingly. When facing a potentially career and life altering legal issue, it makes absolutely no sense to take shortcuts on your counsel. After reading numerous reviews on more than a dozen DUI attorneys, I immediately recognized Mr. Kohn as being the best representation I needed.
His firm's fees are at the upper end of the spectrum for DUI defense, but weigh that against the cost of future employment complications and the cost will be inconsequential. This is one area where you truly get what you pay for. Larry exceeded all of my expectations. Be forewarned, Larry is blunt. He lays out all of the potential outcomes both good and bad, but rest assured his defense strategy is geared 99% toward getting your case dismissed or at the least having it plead to a more inconsequential non-criminal charge. He made me aware of every possible strategy he would use in defending my case had it gone to trial and made sure that I would be comfortable with everything before he went forward. He is extremely knowledgeable of the local court systems and appears to be held in high regard among the various city and municipal prosecutors and judges. While he does provide good psychological support on occasion, Larry is not a therapist and do not expect to have a daily dialogue with him. Do know however, that he is working vigorously on your case preparation and will handle it with the utmost in diligence and professionalism. Bottom line, my DUI charge became a failure to stop ticket and I could not be more pleased. I have to say that, although I hope I never need Larry Kohn’s assistance again in the future, he made this experience effortless and if I ever find myself in a bind again, he will be the first person I call. I was attending college in Tallahassee, Florida at the time of the incident, but was visiting family in Georgia when I was pulled over for speeding in Holly Springs, Georgia. I had unfortunately let an earlier speeding ticket lapse and apparently had a suspended license because of it. Much to my surprise, the cop took me to jail. My friend, who I was traveling with, posted my bail, and I was scheduled to attend court the following month. I requested a state provided attorney who assured me there was nothing that could be done to fix this, and told me I would have to pay a large fine and there was a possibility that I might have to spend time in jail! I was shocked! I immediately began looking for a different attorney which is when I stumbled upon Larry Kohn. He was absolutely wonderful! As I was taking classes, it was going to be difficult for me to make it to the hearing so he arranged for me not to have to be there. He kept me informed every step of the way. The result of the hearing was really the best case scenario. The driving on a suspended license charge was dismissed and my speed fine was reduced. Now, as if this wasn’t already above and beyond for an attorney, three years later, I had moved to Chicago, Illinois and had begun graduate school for education. It came up on my background check that I had been arrested and the Chicago Public School system needed a certified disposition. I made a very stupid error. I was driving a car with an expired tag and forgot that I was still on probation from a DUI conviction in 1/2006. Illegal substances were found in the car and stupidly I tried to flee from the officer. I was charged with 2 felony counts and 2 misdemeanors and given no bond. My wife first called the lawyer who had barely defended me in the 2006 case and he insisted on $5000 cash just to contact me. We both worked for a living and barely made it from one paycheck to the next. My wife was referred to Larry Kohn by one of my prior fellow employees. He came directly to the jail to consult with me on the same day my wife called him. After speaking with me, he contacted my wife with a payment plan that we could live with. When we went to court to cross examine the officer, Larry tore into him like a Doberman into a prime rib roast. With the plea that Larry arranged, I spent 3 months in Gwinnett County, am once again on 5 years probation with 6 months intense, will happily serve 96 hours of community service and was only charged with one felony count. Instead of being in prison, I am back home with my wife, looking for a new job, and knowing that I will NEVER do anything to get me into such a situation again. However, if I ever need a lawyer for anything again for the rest of my life, my first and only call will be to Larry Kohn, who I believe to be the best lawyer in the state of Georgia! I was charged with DUI and the worst part, I refused the breath test. The first thing I knew I needed to do was hire an attorney. After learning more about my son even though he was comfortable he could build a good case and was able to negotiate a reduced sentence for a second DUI he recommended that my son enter a DUI Court program as he saw that he could truly take advantage of this program and long term it would be better for him. My case was truly special... the sideshow (I had a 10 felony count federal indictment at the same time) was more of a distraction than the case itself, but Larry handled the case as it should have been. He managed to secure continuances and continued to work the case diligently until the federal case came to a conclusion. I hated the fact that I got a dui back in 2004, but after speaking with Mr. Kohn about my options, the entire process didn't seem so bad. Larry took the time first to get to know me as a person and not just as another client. From the very beginning, he was warm, kind hearted and sincere while at the same time, very direct and forthcoming. He always made eye contact when he spoke to me and to a former Marine Sergeant like myself, that spoke volumes. Our family would just like to say THANK YOU to Larry. I am a commercial driver and got a DUI while in my personal vehicle along with an impeding the flow of traffic violation. But because I drive for a living, if I got a DUI that would end my career. Larry was very knowledgable, dependable, honest and most importantly avalible to me whenever I needed to speak to him. He was always straight forward and told us how it really was. In one of the toughest courtrooms to get any offense decreased or dismissed, he was able to get my offense decreased to a reckless driving and the impeding the flow of traffic ticket dropped. That saved my license, my job, and my family's well being. I would highly recommend Larry if you need a "Great " lawyer. I was recently charged with my first DUI. I interviewed a number of attorneys and new I had the right guy from day one with Mr. Kohn. Not only did he have a great deal of experience and posess and exceptional understanding of the court system where my case was to be heard, but he had significant experience in dealing with the people who would ultimately make a ruling on my case. He prepared me well and was clear on the prework I needed to do in order to be in the best position possible once we reached our court date. Mr Kohn successfully negotiated a reduced sentence to Wreckless Driving with the prosecutor and officer on my case. I credit his experience, knowledge, and preperation as being primary contributors to achieving this successful outcome. Throughout the process, I felt like he had my best interest covered - exactly what I needed during this difficult period.

My felony charge ended up getting dropped even before I even had to go to court, which was a HUGE relief off of my shoulders. It was almost two years for the case to play through, and the entire time, Larry always responded to my e-mails the same day (usually within 30 minutes, think he has a Blackberry), and always gave me realistic expectations. Throughout this time, he constantly talked to the DAs (there were three involved) and I believe this played a large part in reaching the final outcome. Overall I couldn't be happier with the way the case was resolved. I was actually recommended to him by another lawyer (who practices in another field), and the two other people I know that have used him have said nothing but great things.

I was charged wtih a hit and run accident. Fortunatelyl I was refered to Larry Kohn. Larry wwas straight forwared, honest and made no promises other that he would work hard for me. Which he did. I was even surprised how reasonable his charges were.
There were two incidents and Larry followed the time line from the first incident to the second (hit and run). As no alcohol was involed in either incident , I had no reason to run from the second incident. With the hard work and evidence Larry gathered the hit and run charges were dissmissed. While outside the courtroom I was talking to the Bailiff. When I told her I was waiting for Larry Kohn, she stated he is one of the most respected Attornies she has worked with. She stated she would recommend Larry to anyone needing an attorney. I would give Larry an unqualified recommendation for anyone needing an attorney. Larry got the best outcome possible for my DUI charge, which was a reduction to a reckless driving. I knew Larry was the right guy for the job the first time I talked to him. While other lawyers seemed annoyed I was taking up their time, Larry took the time to address all my concerns and cover all the options available. In court, it was obvious he has a good relationship with all the court personnel, which helps tremendously when entering a plea. What impressed me the most is his preparation. He analyzed the tape of my arrest and took copious notes. All in all, having him in my corner made the best of the whole experience in every way possible.

Larry did an oustanding job of defending my son on a five count DUI and related charges case. He came on the case late. I had previously hired another attorney, that I became somewhat uncomfortable with. I found out about Larry and contacted him at the proverbial 11th hour. Larry immediately dove into the details, formulated a strategy that, at its end, was successful and very impressive. He did a terrific job of cross examining the State's principle witness. He pointed out descrepancies in the officer's testimony as well as deficiencies in the arrest process. This ultimately led to a not guilty verdict on four of the five charges including the DUI.

Though my DUI was never dropped it was reduced. With Larry, one thing you'll get is a straight answer. With my case, Larry pointed out we had a narrow chance to get rid of the DUI charge. There were no rose colored glasses with Larry. He was so knowledgable about my case that it astounded me. He was able to recite case law to me that had worked in similar cases. Mr. Kohn was expedient in meeting with me . He informed me of my rights and the various avenues that I could take with the charge against me. In my particular case I ended up having only one action available to me. He advised me to complete classes in advance of my hearing so that I did not waste any time. He worked out a scheduled payment plan and extended it when requested. Throughout my waiting time and during trial he reiterated many times what the worst case scenario would be so that I was totally prepared.

From the beginning, he was honest, straight forward, and crystal clear in his communication. I knew where I stood from the beginning.
