I'm a highly successful professional who gave into some serious psychological pressures last year and ended up doing something stupid and getting arrested on some very serious and humiliating charges. Subsequent media attention led to my career being destroyed. I was so ashamed and self-loathing, I didn't even know how to help myself. I consulted the best lawyer I knew of locally. After telling him my story he said, "Look, I'm going to be straight with you. I'm very good, and maybe I could help you, but if you want the best, go to Christine Koehler. Whatever I know, I learned from her. And whatever can be done in your case, she can do it." I did, and I thank my lucky stars. She listened, and not just with her mind (which is incredible), but also with her heart. She saw in me a decent human being who went bananas for awhile, and who deserved a fresh start. While she worked the case, her assistant kept me on my feet morally. I was told by people who know Gwinnett County, my case would take probably at least 8 months. I suffered. I went through hell .... And suddenly, it was over, in 5 months. In reviewing the process, it's clear to me that Christine Koehler has mastered not only the ins and outs of jurisprudence, but its fine art as well. My case depended not merely on facts, but on the subtle nuances of human situational understanding. She was able to engage the prosecution in human dialogue. She deeply believes that the law is there not only to condemn, but to find what is truly judicious, even to extend mercy. Sometimes people who have a positive outcome in their cases say, "Now I believe in the system again." I don't buy into that simplistic thinking. If I believe in anything again, it is in myself. I had nearly stopped believing in myself. I was my own harshest judge. Christine explained it like this: "The legal system only wants what is right. My job as your defense attorney is to clarify that on your behalf. I believed in you, and I made it my job to communicate what is right about you to the prosecutor. The prosecutor is also a good person. She understood and eventually believed in you, too." Epilogue: I am presently in emotional recovery. I appreciate life with an intensity unimagined before. But my case could have turned out so much differently. Don't ever think that the system is just the system. The system is as good or as bad as the people who operate within it. One of the very best people, and advocates, has got to be Christine Koehler. Because of her, I have my life back.

Christine was without a doubt a very well versed and educated attorney for me. She has a unique ability to be both agressive and passive without being too much of either. I found her (and her staff) very caring and responsive in every facet of my case. What I was looking at in terms of length of possible jail sentence and what I actually received was astounding. I didn't ever feel like "just another client" and always felt that she and her staff honestly cared what happened. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a quality criminal defense attorney. She was on top of the case from start to finish.

Its very difficult to trust that another individual will defend you as rigorously as you would defend yourself. You were there, you know what happened and you think your pretty smart and can figure out the best game plan for your own defense. You retain what you think is a very good attorney and start communicating your story. You finally arrive to the hearing and your nervous, guilty or not the stakes are high if you value freedom and you start questioning your choice... Will my attorney do a spectacular job and fight for me the way I need them to, will they be agile enough to navigate your opponents case.
In all the cases heard the same eve as mine no attorney was as prepared as Christine Koehler.
Her team, equally efficacious , responded promptly to my every query.
She was cunning, quick, clever and cutting when needed all while being utterly charming.
Every person in the court room respects her and by the end I was not only a happy client but a fan.
My case was not dismissed it was denied.
Christine Koehler is the archetype attorney. Retain her before your opponent does. She is the difference in the case not you.

I found Christine by searching for attorney's on the internet. I was impressed with the articles I found about her but I was even more impressed when I met her. She tells it like it is, which is exactly what I wanted. She defended my son and truly helped to turn his life around.
Christine and her assistant, Katie, could not have made a better team.
I will always be grateful for both of them.

My son was a first offender, two misdemeanors. I found Ms. Koehler by googling misdemeanors. Her professional credits were very impressive, but the one thing that got my attention was the fact that she speaks at meetings and conventions of other trial lawyers nationwide-i.e., other criminal lawyers hire her to teach them how to be better at what they do.
She was very friendly, very helpful, and did precisely what she said she would do. She was able to get my son into a diversion program-i.e. some classes, some community service, probation, all of which upon completion made him eligible to have his case expunged. I was unaware that this was even an option. I am very thankful that I found (was led to, perhaps?) her website. Her paralegal (Katie) was also very helpful, and encouraging, whenever I or my son talked with her.
I highly recommend Ms. Koehler and her team.

My son was facing 50 years in state prision for something he did not do. She was on there every step of the way to make sure all things were handled in the proper way and to make sure our son had a fair trail.

I was stopped by Gainesville police after an odd experience at the convenient store. I couldn't figure out why they seemed to be after me since I just stopped to get a coke. But it was my passenger they were after. After finding drugs and scales in his bag ... I too, was charged with intent to sell. Christine was able to keep me out of jail, keep this off my record by obtaining a first offender sentence. Her staff, especially Katie, was extremely courteous and helpful as well.

We made the mistake of hiring an attorney who was recommended by a family friend. After dealing with poor follow up and unreturned phone calls, we sought out Christine Koehler. Needless to say, Christine Koehler is extremely knowledgeable about her field. She answered more questions in our first meeting than our first attorney answered in six months. We were thrilled when she took on our son’s case. Her level of professionalism is exceptional and she and her assistant are flawless. I strongly suggest that anyone who needs an attorney call Christine Koehler first.

Our son was charged with sexual molestation in 2005, the lawyer we had told us everything he was going to do. He did nothing for the 20k we gave him (he wanted 50k) and at the last minute he told our son to plead guilty, otherwise he would be committing judicial suicide. Not knowing what to do, our son pleaded guilty. He served 5 years and now has 15 yrs probation. To this day, the system still does not know what really happened. A friend of the family who is a FBI special agent did his own investigation. He said our son was railroaded, but because he pleaded guilty, there is not much that could be done. It would take a great deal of money which we do not have.
The conditions of probation were very harsh; he could not even see his younger nieces and nephews. Christine was able to get the conditions altered so that he could have supervised visitations with younger family members. Unlike the 1st lawyer we had, Christine listened to us.
If we had additional funds available, we would ask Christine to help us again. Our son can not visit us in our home because the probation officers in Walton County call it loitering.
The system is broke and we have lost faith in it. Not everything is black and white.

Christine was referred to me by another Attorney who was going on vacation. I was a panicked Mother of a 19 year old daughter who had shown poor judgement that could have resulted in felony charges. I was extremely relieved that she was there to help. She told me her fee (pricey) and offered to refer me to a Jr. Attorney who would be more cost effective. I chose to go with her because of her winning the "Best of Gwinnett" for several years. She met with my daughter and got her story. My daughter felt comfortable with her and trusted her completely. Christine then persistantly worked to communicate with police to resolve the situation. Eventually it was determined that no charges would be pressed. Hopefully neither my daughter or I will ever need her help again but if we do we'll be glad she's there!

Christine handled probation violation for a family member and was successful in getting a release from jail. The relief was overwhelming, and I am so grateful to her for the work she and her staff put in. I would recommend her to any and all who need a top-notch attorney.

Christine was referred to me as an excellent attorney, and I can only say that proved to be true, and the outcome we were hoping for was successful and I would not hesitate to recommend her to friends or family.

I was arrested over a year ago for DUI in Gwinnett County. From the initial consulataion and throughout the duration of my case Christine was open and honest. She assurred me of her successful track record but made no promises of a favorable outcome. Her staff was gracious and respectful at all times. My case was later reduced to Reckless Driving. I will recommend Christine to anyone needing legal representation. Her professionalism and results are outstanding!!

My daughter was facing criminal charges that could result in incarceration. Christine was honest about her goals. When she could have rested on achieving the reduction from superior court to state court, she went the extra mile to get first time offender a better deal. Awesome work Christine. Thank you. Wether it is your first offense or more, she is the lawyer for you.

Christine helped our family through a crisis that should have never taken place. Her legal expertise, courtroom skills, and her genuine caring personality made our experience less painful. She is a master in the courtroom and she definitely knows the law. I thank Christine and her staff for being the best.

I was detained and arrested over a year ago for DUI in Gwinnett County. After careful reseach I chose Christine due to reputation and proximity to Justice Center. I retained her imediately after initial consultation - while she was optimistic throughout, she and her staff never misled me or made false promises regarding potential outcome. DUI is a serious offense with potentially serious repercussions. I was constantly kept abreast of new developments and treated with emphaty and respect the entire time.
For the orignial fee, Christine saw may case from inception through to state court - filed motions and ultimately had the case dismissed due to careful research and presentation in one of the toughest courts in Gwinnett County.
I would highly recommend Christine to anyone requiring defense in a criminal case - superb!

I was in a terrible situation that seemed hopeless with serious criminal charges. It would take a week to explain everything that happened. All I can say is, I thank God every day that Attorney Koehler was my attorney. When I was getting the book thrown at me, Attorney Koehler and her staff stayed by my side and set out to prove I was not at fault of the charges against me. Attorney Koehler accomplished everything she set out to do, she went above and beyond to help me, all charges were dismissed.
