Please do not hire Justin !!

Justin Chin needs his bar license revoke . I payed him 350 dollars to start the process for my child support case . He didn’t do anything then told me he will refund me . This was in 2023 and it’s now 2025 still no refund. I’m taking the next steps of filing a complaint with state bar of association....

Hire ANYONE else.

I hired Justin Chin in 2018 to represent me in a divorce. He was unorganized, uncommunicative and unprofessional at best. He actually stepped away from me once at the courthouse to consult another client and hand out his business card - while I was paying him and he should have been giving his att...ention to my case. After almost 2 years and no progress with my divorce, I had to fire him. I'm now, 6 years later, trying to finalize my divorce and one of the attorneys that I consulted with actually stated "Oh, you had Justin Chin? That explains it." in regards to my case still not being settled. Don't give this man any money.

Gross Negligence and Financial Devastation

My experience with Attorney Justin Chin was deeply disappointing and distressing. Throughout my divorce proceedings (file no. 2018CV307378), I encountered multiple instances of negligence and fraudulent conduct. Mr. Chin consistently avoided and deflected my requests, displaying a lack of accountabi...lity and transparency. There was a substantial mishandling of escrow funds, with $$$, unaccounted for in the escrow account calculation, and a refusal to produce documentation regarding disbursements. Furthermore, I felt coerced, manipulated, and extorted for Mr. Chin's personal gain. Despite my financial vulnerability and inability to pay rent without agreed-upon assistance, Mr. Chin withheld my rent check and disregarded my concerns, prioritizing his own agenda. His representation lacked fidelity, marked by falsehoods, malicious delays, and unnecessary case extensions. The final decree presented to the court contained gross errors that did not align with the judge's decree during trial. Mr. Chin's response to my concerns was dismissive, stating we would appeal, yet for a year, I was misled about the progress. The appeal was eventually dismissed in February 2023, while Mr. Chin accumulated charges through unproductive meetings without updates on the appeal status. In September 23, 2023, Mr. Chin sent a Settlement Agreement and Release, which I amended; however, he disagreed and voided the agreement, cutting off communication since then. This situation left me in a dire financial state, impacting custody of my minor son and resulting in homelessness for my daughter and me during the pandemic. Despite a 14-year marriage and substantial assets, including multiple properties and significant liquid funds at separation, Mr. Chin's neglectful handling left us in an unimaginable situation. text: 929-206-8850

Horrible

I went to the courthouse today to get a final copy of my child support order only to be told my case was dismissed and a order was never received. What did I pay $2500 for?????? Justin failed to show up as an attorney on my behalf after I paid a hefty retainer fee. I retained Justin in October of 202...1 it is now December 2023 and nothing was accomplished on my end. My case has been dragging for 2 years. Every time I had court Justin had an emergency hearing with another client. It was so difficult getting the opposing party served. Let's not mention the fact that all you get is excuses when you question him about something or a let me check on that and I'll get back to you. I can never get a direct answer as to why it's talking so long with my case. It seems like after Justin received payment from me he dropped the ball on my case.

Great Job

Justin was able to resolve my legitimation case in five months from start to finish. Justin won’t sit on a case without a settlement offer in the other side’s hands at all times. My ex was started with an offer giving me supervised visitation and I have been way more participatory in my son’s lif...e than the average Dad, taking off work to accommodate my Ex’s schedule to help my Son. The final settlement was exactly what I would get in court without paying the expense to go to court. Justin kept pushing the mediator to get me what I should get but won’t make someone settle either.
