Worse nightmare with this attorney

Very bad experience with this attorney. To make the story short he mess up a child support case that was very simple. He will offer you many things like he will get the other party to pay for his fees, he will make sure you get the right amount for your child, but as soon as you pay retainer fees and... he make you sign a contract of payments he will charge you a lot of money even to answer emails. He took 6k from me and did nothing on top he mess up my son last name. Plus he didn’t even show me proofs of income of the opposite party.i end up getting probably 10% of child support . Now basically I will have to pay another attorney to fix Frank Mann mess. I really wish I never hired this attorney but already done . I think if he was a good attorney he will return the money he charged me for a mess job but hey not everyone have values. Just stay away this law firm and you won’t get the same bad experience I did.

Ms. Flores, I obtained an Agreed Final Order in your case regarding your child. All parties agreed to a final settlement and signed off on an Agreed Final Order. You were provided a detailed invoice for attorney fees and expenses, which you paid in full. After your case was completed, it was determined that there was a miscommunication about information on the birth certificate. All parties missed the birth certificate issue. I have offered to solve the issue at no additional cost to you. The opposing party has agreed to sign off on these documents. We have been in communication with you about this and we are currently waiting on your response.

Never Returns Calls - Not Prepared for Court

Mr. Mann and his staff failed to return phone calls and/or emails. Without exaggeration, I can tell you that the communication was so bad that I question how he even stays in business. At times I found myself begging for a return call. He was so poorly prepared for court that I was literally embarras...sed by his representation. I would have got rid of him early on had I not given him all of my money which prevented me from hiring a different attorney.

Communication with my clients is a priority to me and my staff. When clients sign an employment agreement it is explained to each client who their assigned paralegal is, along with their email address. It also states in the agreement that you signed, that if a client has any problem with communicating with my firm or wants to meet with me personally or by a telephone appointment, they need to let me know by email immediately. My email address is provided for clients in the written employment agreement (that you signed and have a copy of) to advise me if they are having any communication problem with my firm. My staff and I communicated with you numerous times throughout our representation. I disagree about your statement that you did not have good communication and that I was not prepared for court. I obtained a temporary order for you at mediation (with your approval). You had a highly contested custody fight that needed to go to trial. I sent you an invoice explaining in detail that we had already earned the time that was spent from your original retainer. When I explained that additional fees were needed to prepare and go to trial, you stated you could not afford it. The employment agreement states that if a client does not pay for future attorney fees that are requested, the attorney has the right to withdraw from the case. I then withdraw as counsel from your case.

Inadequate Lawyer---Frank Mann--HE IS NOT EVEN A 1 STAR--0 STAR

DO NOT!!!!! DO NOT!!! hire this JOKE of a lawyer!!!! When he has you come in for a 30 minute free consult, he will tell you that there is a 95% chance of winning your case. You trust this and then you give him your retainer fee---$5000.00. He represented us in a chld custody case last year. AFT...ER he deposited our $5000.00 into his account, he became EXTREMELY arrogant and seemed inconvenienced when he had to spend 3 hours at mediation session...which was required by the court. When my husband expressed to him that he didn't feel that Mr. Mann was doing enough at remediation to help our case, he said "Well, I think maybe you should find another attorney." We were already $7000.00 into it, which he WOULD NOT REFUND. After about 7 months, we finally got to court. Mr. Mann was EXTREMELY unprepared. He couldn't remember our son's name or his age!! He was SO EMBARRASSING in court in front of the Judge and opposing attorney. He acted as though he had NEVER been in this situation!! He was called down by the Judge for being inapproprriate in his line of questioning. He was a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT!!! He NEVER asked a question that wasn't "sustained" by the Judge upon request by the opposing attorney. In the end, we lost custody of a very simple case. It cost us approximately $13,000.00!!! The ONLY thing he was effecient at was to meet us before every court hearing and sign off on his list of ADDiTIONAL fees we would pay to him. And by the way...if you can't pay his total attorney fees at that time, he demands that you set up an auto-draft on your bank account or credit card every two weeks until he is paid. AND he requires that you put your vehicle up for reposesion if your account does not pay him!!! He never did his homework on our case....he could have cared LESS about our son and his situation. We were actually afraid that he might have a heart attack when he was in court with his heavy breathing and total anxiety. Again.....DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!!!!! [info withheld]

Public Reprimand issued in TX, 2015

updated on 05/16/2016

Public reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Frank’s comment:

“This public reprimand involved an issue with Mr. Mann's paralegal. Mr. Mann instructed his paralegal to file a Motion to Mediate for a client, but she did not timely comply with Mr. Mann's instructions which caused an unnecessary delay for the client. Mr. Mann took prompt action against the paralegal by a reprimand and dismissal from employment. Mr. Mann accepted a public reprimand in this situation because he took responsibility for his paralegal's failure to act.”

Fully Probated Suspension issued in TX, 1990

updated on 01/23/2019

Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.
