He doesn't care about children

PLEASE BELIEVE ALL REVIEWS! This lawyer messed me up several times, never attempted to fight for my case, he just calmly sits on his chair and makes everything sound like a joke. He does not care about your children. Being a victim of domestic violence is a joke to him. so please don't expect to be t...reated with respect by this lawyer. This lawyer tends to threaten to sue you for being honest in writing a 1 star review. Again, LISTEN TO REVIEWS AND BELIEVE THEM.

forgotten client

I hired Frank and his associates thinking I was gaining a team of professionalism and experience, but I was very wrong. It took 2 months to type up my affidavit, I emailed and called numerous times trying to figure out what could be taking so long with no responses or callback. when I finally did rec...eive the info it had people mixed up and had to be retyped, not a big deal, after looking it over and signing it I asked to be made aware when it would be sent and when the opposing party receives it. I never got that info or satisfaction that I was actually being helped, in fact I never received any info from the Mann law firm ever. I was never asked questions and mine were never answered, I finally had to contact frank after emailing and calling anyone and everyone I could to get an email back. That email I finally received was my hearing date. My court hearing wasn't a hearing at all he just told me I should have the other party drug tested so I did but I never received the results, he received my discovery request from the opposing council shortly after our hearing and failed to tell me, another lawyer I spoke with told me about it and after speaking with frank he emailed it to me 2 months after he received it told me to get another lawyer and good luck. I had no knowledge of that information until I received emails stating he was withdrawing from my case, or firing me, because he couldn't communicate with me and also I failed to comply with our contract, which was absurd, when confronted about this information he tried telling me that's just how they word these things and its only because he is under staffed due to coronavirus which sounds ridiculous to me. He sent me someone else invoice on accident who hired him around the same time as me and they had already gone to court and finished and I had only gone to a hearing, but we were charged the same amount, actually mine was more. He fired me during the middle of this pandemic we are all going through forcing me to find a new lawyer and dish out more money. I was charged 564 dollars in the time of my two month long affidavit that I cant justify, I asked if I could get a partial refund and his assistant said she believes so and would see what she could do but frank laughed and said I actually owe him money, only because he charged me on my invoice for firing me and it went over my retainer. All in all I feel like I was taken advantage of and nothing was done for my case, he already has a public reprimand for this exact same instance and I wish I would have caught that before hiring him and trusting him to help me. this is just some of the headache frank and his paralegals have caused me since November 2019, thousands of dollars gone and only went to one hearing, he has no idea what I want because he has never asked me a single question and I've only seen him the one time at my hearing, he didn't do anything for me and didn't do his job, my next step is to file a grievance to the bar with how poorly I was represented.

Inadequate Lawyer---Frank Mann--HE IS NOT EVEN A 1 STAR--0 STAR

DO NOT!!!!! DO NOT!!! hire this JOKE of a lawyer!!!! When he has you come in for a 30 minute free consult, he will tell you that there is a 95% chance of winning your case. You trust this and then you give him your retainer fee---$5000.00. He represented us in a chld custody case last year. AFT...ER he deposited our $5000.00 into his account, he became EXTREMELY arrogant and seemed inconvenienced when he had to spend 3 hours at mediation session...which was required by the court. When my husband expressed to him that he didn't feel that Mr. Mann was doing enough at remediation to help our case, he said "Well, I think maybe you should find another attorney." We were already $7000.00 into it, which he WOULD NOT REFUND. After about 7 months, we finally got to court. Mr. Mann was EXTREMELY unprepared. He couldn't remember our son's name or his age!! He was SO EMBARRASSING in court in front of the Judge and opposing attorney. He acted as though he had NEVER been in this situation!! He was called down by the Judge for being inapproprriate in his line of questioning. He was a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT!!! He NEVER asked a question that wasn't "sustained" by the Judge upon request by the opposing attorney. In the end, we lost custody of a very simple case. It cost us approximately $13,000.00!!! The ONLY thing he was effecient at was to meet us before every court hearing and sign off on his list of ADDiTIONAL fees we would pay to him. And by the way...if you can't pay his total attorney fees at that time, he demands that you set up an auto-draft on your bank account or credit card every two weeks until he is paid. AND he requires that you put your vehicle up for reposesion if your account does not pay him!!! He never did his homework on our case....he could have cared LESS about our son and his situation. We were actually afraid that he might have a heart attack when he was in court with his heavy breathing and total anxiety. Again.....DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!!!!! [info withheld]

DONT HIRE THEM

I hired frank Mann because they told me my case would be easy to win they told me over and over they have never lost a case with a month we trying to get her child back. But not we're they wrong I sent so many emails and so many phone calls try always went unanswered at every court date it was the so...mething Jessica didn't care and you could tell each time by her actions and how quickly she left after our case was unsigned or reset cause she had to hurry to another case or just was ready to leave and not deal with my case. I can't believe I spent so much time and money in this crappy what they call "law firm" they all are no good and helped me not a single bit when it was my final trial day not even a week ago they just wanted to let me deal with losing my son for the next two years. I now had no choice cause they never stood up for me or let me speak my mind and let the court know the tut try just expected me to let my ex tell his lies and let the judges believe all he said.. Now I'm fuked for the next two years without my son I for recommend this "firm" at all what so ever for anyone they all suck and are all cocky and don't care about anything but money!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

I am sorry that you were not happy with the results. No attorney can make promises or guarantee results. Family law cases can be very complicated. I do not every tell a client I can win there case. I give them an educated prediction based on my experience but I can never predict with complete certainty what a Judge will do after hearing the facts. I wish you would have contacted me by email with any communication problems your were having. My email is stated in the Employment Agreement. Since you have not provided your full name I cannot research your file and respond any further.

NOT ANY HELP!!

So we met with Franks paralegal and of course she told us all the right things to get our money. Here we are 3,500 dollars latter and have yet to met our own attorney. We have a geo restriction case and are trying to admend the divorce decree. Here are just a few things to expect if you hire this law ...firm. First don't expect a return phone call from anyone. Don't expect them to even spell their own clients names right on court documents. Don't expect respect or kindness. Don't expect them to call and tell you a court date was canceled. I guess they figured we would know when no ones attorney showed up. Here is what you can expect. Disrespect, unprofessionalism, no emails returned, no phone calls returned, and DONT ever expect to met your attorney his always busy. Might as well throw 3,500 out the widow of you hire these guys!

I am sorry you did not feel like you did not get the communication that you wanted. Communication with my clients is very important to me. It is clearly stated in my Employment Agreement, that you get a copy of, that you may email me if you have any problems with communicating with my firm or if you have any problems at all that my paralegal cannot resolve. My email is provided in the Employment Agreement between you and my firm. Geographical restrictions are extremely difficult to change and in very rare circumstances are they granted. Since your review does not list your last name I cannot research your file to respond further.

Public Reprimand issued in TX, 2015

updated on 05/16/2016

Public reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Frank’s comment:

“This public reprimand involved an issue with Mr. Mann's paralegal. Mr. Mann instructed his paralegal to file a Motion to Mediate for a client, but she did not timely comply with Mr. Mann's instructions which caused an unnecessary delay for the client. Mr. Mann took prompt action against the paralegal by a reprimand and dismissal from employment. Mr. Mann accepted a public reprimand in this situation because he took responsibility for his paralegal's failure to act.”

Fully Probated Suspension issued in TX, 1990

updated on 01/23/2019

Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.
