unprofessional, not out for my best interests

I initially thought I hired an experienced lawyer with supportive staff. A plan was discussed that was not presented to me by other lawyers in their interviews. However once hired, I talked with Mr. Mann on the phone once, then seen twice in mediation, then never heard from or was advised by him ag...ain. I was handled by his "para-lawyers" aka paralegals after mediation and another lawyer on his staff for court. -I was not prepped for mediation. -First met Mr. Mann at mediation -Mr. Mann called me another persons name with another persons file -Prior to mediation, staff entered me into a rule 11 agreement without my consent or knowledge and didn't notify me until days after its initiation -Mr. Mann did not advocate for my best interests and gave into most of the demands of the opposing counseling -Was over an hour late to the second mediation -Walked out of my mediation room stating he could not deal with me anymore due to my asking questions, in front of opposing counsel, leaving the mediator to handle my concerns -No further contact with Mr. Mann occurred after mediation, all advisement was given by his paralegals -Orders were not completed by deadlines, time extensions has to be requested and time pressure was put on me in both mediation and after when finalizing the order. I was emphasized to initial the portion of the order that I fully understood the terms and was not pressured in anyway in my consent. -Staff did not consistently follow 24-48 hour window of response time frame -Many Questions often left unanswered or I was advised by paralegals. -I was not directed on how to handle situations when my ex did not follow the terms of the order or was disorderly towards me. -During court his lawyer began soliciting his services and was to by the judge not to do that Over all the paralegals did what they could within their scope and I believe acted outside their scope to help me. Mr. Mann was there to advise but took offense when I had questions. The worst part was being entered into agreements without my knowledge, called another persons name and being walked out on as opposing counseling witnessed my representation turning on me in mediation, then having to relay on the mediator for guidance. After consulting other counsels after, learning there were things that could have been advocated of me that were not. In child custody with a confrontational ex, this made an already traumatic experience, worse. I was refunded $1000.00 dollars to make me feel better, but orders were already filed and the damage done, so I really don't feel better.

WORST LAWYER EVER!

I usually am not the one to leave bad ratings however felt that this one needed to be done. I hired Frank to be my lawyer in 2013 and had him withdraw from my case in 2014 because nothing was getting done on my case. Out of 8 months of trying to work with him, I NEVER met him, even when scheduled an ...appointment to meet with him himself. The staff was very rude and claimed that I "owed" them money because they lost all my original paperwork. I had to go in personally and show them my bank statements proving I had been giving biweekly payments. Avoided my phone calls or would put me on hold and never pick back up. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAWYER AT ALL! Horrible communication and horrible service.

I am sorry that you were not happy with my firm. Communication is very important to me. I wish you would have contacted me by my email address that is listed in the Employment Agreement so that I could have solved any problems that you were having. The Employment Agreement states that you may contact me directly to set an appointment or to talk to me. I wish you would have done that. If my paralegal is not responding to you how would I know about it if you do not let me know. That is why I list it in the Employment Agreement that you are given a copy of when you retain my firm's services. Since you have not provided your name I cannot research your file and respond any further.

NOT ANY HELP!!

So we met with Franks paralegal and of course she told us all the right things to get our money. Here we are 3,500 dollars latter and have yet to met our own attorney. We have a geo restriction case and are trying to admend the divorce decree. Here are just a few things to expect if you hire this law ...firm. First don't expect a return phone call from anyone. Don't expect them to even spell their own clients names right on court documents. Don't expect respect or kindness. Don't expect them to call and tell you a court date was canceled. I guess they figured we would know when no ones attorney showed up. Here is what you can expect. Disrespect, unprofessionalism, no emails returned, no phone calls returned, and DONT ever expect to met your attorney his always busy. Might as well throw 3,500 out the widow of you hire these guys!

I am sorry you did not feel like you did not get the communication that you wanted. Communication with my clients is very important to me. It is clearly stated in my Employment Agreement, that you get a copy of, that you may email me if you have any problems with communicating with my firm or if you have any problems at all that my paralegal cannot resolve. My email is provided in the Employment Agreement between you and my firm. Geographical restrictions are extremely difficult to change and in very rare circumstances are they granted. Since your review does not list your last name I cannot research your file to respond further.

He IS the lawyer to hire!

Frank Mann is an excellent lawyer! If you are looking for someone who will go up to bat for you and get the job done, he is the right lawyer for you! I'm currently going through a difficult divorce and more than likely going to end up going to trial. He hasn't missed any court appointments, doesn't g...et over booked to where he is in two courts at once, he is always on time and he knows what he is doing! You can definitely count on him! I asked a friend of mine who works for a lawyer in spring about Mr. Mann and she told me he was a "bad ***" lawyer. I'm so glad I listened and chose him.

Mr. Mann made sure I was given vindication

Frank Mann represented me in court twice now for modification and enforcement issues. He has successfully put my ex in his place several times now, and it has been a great relief to see him show such good defense in protecting my children's rights along with mine no matter what my ex wants start. I h...ave dealt with my ex dragging me to court from another state unjustly and constantly violating our order but Frank has ensured vindication each time. Mr. Mann's demeanor has always been professional and encouraging towards me, but much more knowledgeable, concise and confident when he defends me in court. Communication is very uplifting both from his office staff and himself. I realize I am not always his main priority as he has many clients and cases going on, so I make sure to be proactive and prepared as well as giving him maximum amount of time to handle my requests or any actions this combination has worked vert successfully as everything is always done in a timely manner by him and his staff. I am so grateful to have found such a great lawyer who gets results and works with me all the way. I will continue to use Frank in the future. I would also like to add he has very reasonable rates especially for the 30 years of experience you get he has always worked with me which was a great comfort as the circumstances of my case were already stressful. I highly recommend Mr. Mann to anyone looking for an assertive experienced lawyer.

Public Reprimand issued in TX, 2015

updated on 05/16/2016

Public reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Frank’s comment:

“This public reprimand involved an issue with Mr. Mann's paralegal. Mr. Mann instructed his paralegal to file a Motion to Mediate for a client, but she did not timely comply with Mr. Mann's instructions which caused an unnecessary delay for the client. Mr. Mann took prompt action against the paralegal by a reprimand and dismissal from employment. Mr. Mann accepted a public reprimand in this situation because he took responsibility for his paralegal's failure to act.”

Fully Probated Suspension issued in TX, 1990

updated on 01/23/2019

Fully probated suspension means an attorney is technically suspended but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities during the suspension to make sure that he or she does not repeat the behavior.
