Francis J. Lafferty, IV, earned his law degree in 1999 from Widener University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from University of South Carolina in 1990. Prior to establishing Norfleet and Lafferty in 2011; Mr. Lafferty was a partner with Metzger, Wickersham, Knauss and Erb, P.C, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

As a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Attorney, Mr. Lafferty has successfully handled cases for his clients against those responsible for causing their injuries. Mr. Lafferty's practice emphasizes representing persons injured by others in motorcycle, automobile and trucking accidents. Mr. Lafferty has handled Wrongful Death cases and complex cases involving serious, permanent injuries. He has experience in trial work, both mediation and arbitration processes, and has resolved numerous cases through diligent case preparation and negotiation. In 2002, Mr. Lafferty received a verdict in Dauphin County for over $400,; in 2008, Mr. Lafferty obtained a $725, dollar settlement in a motorcycle accident injury case.

Mr. Lafferty also dedicates a large portion of his practice to representing persons injured in the workplace. Mr. Lafferty’s workers’ compensation practice includes representing injured workers as they pursue their claims and protect their interests at all stages of the Workers’ Compensation process; from filing an initial claim to fighting for a client’s rights during the appeals process. Mr. Lafferty has resolved numerous lump settlements exceeding six figure settlements through negotiation and has successfully utilized both the voluntary and the mandatory mediation program in the workers’ compensation process to secure settlements over $100,.

He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly PATLA) and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Dauphin County Bar Association, York County Bar Association and Cumberland County Bar Association. Mr. Lafferty has taught trial advocacy at Widener University School of Law's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program (ITAP) since 2001, and he has participated in the Mentor/Mentee program for Widener University.

Mr. Lafferty also has enjoyed the experience of volunteering for the activities of his two children as a little league coach for the Mechanicsburg Little League Association, and soccer coach in both Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill.

Man of his word
Dear Frank, An accident can take away many things from a person, such as independence and self-worth, leaving the victim to feel helpless, hopeless, overwhelmed, and depressed. Not only are they left to face medical bills flooding in faster than they can process, along with endless tough decisions, but all the while receiving extensive therapy that at times is beyond grueling and fatiguing. Some hire a lawyer with hope already lost that there is truly any help following such a horrible misfortune. To simply say "Thank You" would be an insult to all you have done. Not only did you work diligently with your client and her family to ensure that she got what she deserved, but you never settled for what the insurance companies said she "deserved". Your perseverance and commitment is greatly appreciated by all affected with this accident. You've stayed in contact with your client regularly, taking the burden off of her and onto yourself at her weakest times, reassuring her that she would not need to worry and everything would be alright; and you were right. The client in reference? ... Is my mom. What you do goes beyond "winning a case". You restored hope in my mom that she WILL get through this and lifted any burden of medical bills that she feared she would have to pay. Thanks to you she is not helpless, hopeless, or overwhelmed; She's simply... my mom. I cannot express enough how much you have helped her and everyone concerened about her. I had the best experience with this firm. This firm explained everything in lehmans terms, all correspondence was done in a very timely manner and I always received a phone call back when I left a message. My case was settled quickly. Frank was professional but very down to earth.

Awesome Job.
Mr. Lafferty does an amazing job. He answers back quickly when you call or email and is extremely informative. Very down to earth and does not act above you or better then you like some lawyers. I would definitely use him again and will be and have already recommended him to others.

Very good guy
Mr Lafferty kept me informed and update with everything that was going on. He was always willing to answer my questions and if I had to leave a message for him he always returned my call in timely fashion. I would highly recommend him as an attorney and if I ever need an attorney again, which I hope I don't, he will be the one I call.

Wormens compensation dilemma and closure
Had an opened case and the previous attorney I was working with dropped my case and left me with a pending court date and no representation. Tried several attorney offices and spoke with several law offices but none of them would represent me until I spoke with Francis Lafferty. He not only represented me but was crucial in settlement of my case. His professionalism, and attention to detail made the process go smoothly with a clear understanding of options and outcomes to choose from. Francis Lafferty went above and beyond to represent me and his staff was also helpful. I could not have gone through this without them. Workmans Comp Case Resolved!
I would just like to say Frank was awesome! He answered every time I called with a question and answered my emails immediately. We had kind of a weird case and Frank worked very hard to get this settled and fair. He really looked out for us and completely understood the position we were in. No money, facing loosing our house. He even listened to me rant when I was frustrated! We definitely recommend Frank Lafferty!

Need a lawyer? A+ Rating
I have been involved with a case for sometime now and I interviewed a couple lawyers before I hired the one I have, that is where the trouble started. This is too long of a story, so let me say whenever my lawyer failed me in explanations Mr. Lafferty was most helpful. Although he could give no legal advice he was forthcoming with any information he could share. If you need a lawyer I would give him a chance, I wish I had known about him a few years ago. Experienced & Competent Attorney
Frank was very professional, courteous, and responsive. He understood our situation and case from the start and was very experienced with handling the insurance companies and all the legal hoops that go along with the process. The process took a bit longer than we had hoped but in the end we got the best result for us and we appreciate all his efforts on our behalf. He always seemed to have our best interest in mind at all times in all negotiations. We were amazed that he was able to negotiate the medical expenses to a much better benefit than we had imagined. We would hope not to need an attorney for another accident case, but if we did, we would certainly hire Frank Lafferty again.

Excellent Workers Comp Attorney
Upon my initial work injury I was advised by several people to speak to an attorney. I was referred to a well know law firm in the area who is known for workers comp cases (according to their commercials on TV). They were not very helpful and I did not feel comfortable about what they had told me. I had heard about Frank Lafferty through a few different people. . Frank would take my calls/texts at any given time before even meeting with me in person.. When I finally had met with Frank, we went through all the paperwork and he had explained everything to me and answered all my questions in terms that were easily understandable. I am extremely satisfied with ALL he has done for me and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a great, competent, caring and most of all a very professional attorney.
