My attorney Sara, went the Extra Mile!

Sara was everything that I needed in an Attorney. I contacted her because the Insurance Company was pushing me to close a claim. I was having problems with my left side of my body, due to an automobile accident and the Dr.s could not locate the problem. During a consult with Sara, she suggested I go to the Spine Clinic, and she set up an appointment for me. At the appointment they found what was causing the problem and within 45 days I was having surgery and it resolved my problem. Sarah closed up with the Insurance Company's and all the costs related to the accident and surgery were taken care of. Sara did all the work and we were blessed by having her as our advocate. Thank you very much Sara!

Best call I’ve ever made was to Sara

When my insurance company was not returning my calls I wasn’t sure what to do. I was injured in an auto collision, the other driver was uninsured. I thought my insurance company was on my side, I was wrong. As soon as I spoke with Sara at GLP Attorneys I felt better. Sara and her team took my case and they handled everything. I have worked for GLP Personal Injury Attorneys since 2014, and am a Shareholder in the firm's Spokane and Tri-Cities offices.

Professional Overview

I have successfully served the needs of personal injury clients in a variety of cases, including nursing home neglect, wrongful death, motor vehicle collision, premises liability, and products liability. I have been awarded the Rising Star Super Lawyers Award in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. In 2022, I was awarded the Super Lawyer award, which is awarded only to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state. In addition, I have been selected by Spokane Coeur d’Alene Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Spokane each year from 2016 to present.

In addition to serving clients across the Pacific Northwest, I lead our firm's Legal Internship Program for the Eastern Washington region. Our Legal Internship Program exists to providing meaningful work experiences for students in law school who are interested in careers in the personal injury field. Each year, GLP Attorneys is proud to employ as many as ten legal interns across the state.

I also serve as co-chair for both the Washington State Association for Justice's Diversity Committee and our firm's internal Diversity Committee. I am an active member of the American Association for Justice. I also serve as Vice President on the Spokane Symphony Board of Trustees, where I co-chair their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. I am devoted to caring for the diverse needs of my clients and value the uniqueness of each person. I honor diversity in all I do and prioritize cultural principles stemming from both from around the world and locally, especially within the LGBTQ+ community and for all diverse people.

In addition, I have served as the Associate Director for Satori Camp for more than 20 years. Satori is a summer camp for gifted teenagers in Cheney, WA. With Satori, I spend my time administrating the summer camp and mentoring junior high and high school students. It is my favorite week of the year, tied closely with celebrating the December holidays.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, singing in the Spokane Symphony Chorale, cooking (and eating!) vegan food, playing piano, volleyball, reading, and spending time with my rescued pets: a parrot named Leilani, two cats named Maui and Moana, and a goldfish named Barbara.

Great, experienced, and compassionate attorney who delivers results

When one morning, my car ended up being rear-ended by another larger vehicle, it had a profound effect on my physical and physiological wellbeing. The mere fact that it was a regular commute day like thousands of others in over a decade prior, the thought that, suddenly in a blink of an eye everything could be turned upside down, made me realize firsthand that nothing can be taken for granted. For months and months following the accident, besides the ongoing chiropractic, massage, and PT treatments, I was extremely anxious to drive fearing another accident can occur again. In situations like that you want concentrate on the healing process and that is where Sara excelled by taking the burden of dealing with the at-fault party’s insurance coverage issues of my shoulders. From day one, while I was still lost in all the uncertainty, she guided me through this yet unknown, at the time, experience. On her advice, I saw my primary care physician the day of the accident, got fully evaluated, and was prescribed an initial treatment plan. She assured me that all I need worry about going forward is following this prescribed treatment and getting a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, my healing process was taking months and months, which didn’t play well with the at-fault party’s insurance provider that appears to apply a standard set of criteria to each case without really considering each person’s specific physical and other conditions. Meanwhile, Sara was tirelessly working in the background shielding me from worrying about it all. She was regularly checking on my treatment progress and kept me updated on the state of my case. She made herself very accessible via email, phone, and in-person appointments at a moment’s notice, which really made me feel treated as a priority. When she was tied up into other cases, her legal assistant would always be available to either address my questions or follow-up with me later after checking with Sara. Later as my case unfolded, it was astonishing to see how much work goes into just having the insurance company meet their obligations to cover the treatment prescribed by health professionals. We ended up going through a deposition and later through an arbitration process, where once again, Sara guided me through both taking the guess work out of those and was by my side during the actual events. However, even after the arbitrator pretty much resolved the case in our favor, the at-fault party’s insurance provider was still refusing to accept this outcome. Sara continued to work with that provider’s legal counsel until, with some compromises, the latter relented and settled the case stopping just short of the actual trial. This settlement covered all my medical expenses including the sizable deductible I had to pay to my medical insurance provider that picked up my medical bills while my case was in progress. Throughout this entire journey, Sara demonstrated excellent case management skills. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. She makes herself easily assessable and treats you as a priority. In addition, she is compassionate and sees in her clients not just another case but a human being. Finally, she delivers what she promises.

Fought hard for me

Worth Every Penny and then some!! Sara is a SUPERIOR choice.

Sara worked very hard on my case and for me. She was tenacious and kept pushing for results. She clearly explained every step of the way and her office kept me informed of the status of my case. What an amazing caring individual, the first time I met with Sara she assured me I was leaving everything with her and she would sort through it, do the best job she could and I did not have to worry about the "stuff". Dependable, Capable, Knowledgeable

Ms. Maleki represented me in a car collision case. She gave good advice, helped me understand the process, and used her excellent knowledge and skill to help bring a good outcome for my case. I thought hope was lost...until I hired Sara!

I was involved in a hit and run car accident and was getting the run around from my insurance. Doctors and chiropractors would not see me due to lack of specific medical coverage. It was suggested that I hire a personal injury attorney and I met Sara. The clouds opened and the sunlight shined once again! By retaining an attorney I was able to seek medical care with assurance I would be taken care of. Sara is very down to earth, sincere, took the time to explain details to me, answered every phone call, text and email in a very timely manner, followed up with me after surgery and even took the time to drive to Yakima from her office to meet with me in person to review my case. Sara took the guesswork out of my case, fought hard on my behalf and relieved my stress. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of winning my case, which is definitely something I could have never litigated myself.
