Biography
David K. Barrett is a Partner in the South Sound Offices of GLP Attorneys.
Dave comes from a family of lawyers and legal scholars, which served as an early inspiration for him to continue their tradition of excellence. After completing his undergraduate degree in Law & Society at the University of California, David taught school, for a short time, before beginning his legal studies at Valparaiso University School of Law. While in law school, David clerked for the Honorable Judge Julia Jent of the Porter County Superior Court in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Upon receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2002, Mr. Barrett relocated to the Pacific Northwest to begin his legal career in private practice with a mid-size Seattle law firm that was engaged primarily with personal injury, immigration, family law, and criminal defense matters. In 2008, David accepted a position as Deputy Prosecutor and Deputy Coroner for Kittitas County.
David Barrett joined GLP Attorneys in 2011 and has since focused his practice entirely on representing the injured. He also regularly assists health care providers in medical lien matters and is a frequent speaker at seminars for health care providers sponsored by GLP Attorneys.
