A real human

John assisted me in navigating divorce and came recommended by a friend. I was impressed by how he balanced very thorough knowledge and explanations every step of the way, while also still being thoughtful about the emotional impact it all had. He ensured I made informed decisions though I always felt like I had choice in the process. Communication was quick and clear. I highly recommend his services and am very pleased with the outcome.

The kind of guy you want on your side!

I hired John to help me as the victim in a DV case that got way out of hand. I needed the help of a talented attorney to make sure my rights and wishes were heard. I'm so glad I hired John as he was instrumental in getting the case dismissed and giving me updates and advice along the way. He is definably a shark and what I would consider an ass hole in the best possible way. The kind of ass hole you want on your side, staring down the prosecutor and making sure the outcome you want happens. He's pretty busy which means he's not quite as responsive as I would like, however he was always on top of the case and got back to me as soon as I said something. I would not hesitate to contact him again if I ever needed it and he is exactly what you want in a defense attorney. Someone who doesn't get pushed around but rather does the pushing, tells it to you straight, but makes sure to take the time needed to answer all your questions and walk you through it. I am extremely happy with the outcome and all he did to make it happen.

Best Attorney in the USA!

Criminal- I had the privilege of meeting John when my oldest son had a criminal encounter. I was both scared and embarrassed and clueless as to how to help him. John immediately took charge of the situation and provided my son with the support and defense he needed to get through the ordeal. John's professional demeanor and knowledge of the law would have been more than enough for me to write this review but it was the way that he was able to connect and communicate with my teenage son that impressed me the most. He was able to get a know it all teenager to sit, listen and absorb. Family- I relocated to the East Coast in 2015. Recently I had a custody issue that I needed advice on- I spoke to an attorney in my state and was told I would need an attorney in Vancouver- Instantly thought of John. When John called me back he remembered me even with all the years that have passed. John took his time and thoroughly explained every detail. He gave me all the information- even some I would have preferred not to receive- He was both honest and caring and I could tell he truly wanted to help me. Hands down John is one of the best attorney's in the Vancouver area! I would highly recommend John and would love to see him follow me out to the East Coast!

Great lawyer

John is an awesome attorney. He’s helped me and several people I know, always getting outstanding results. I Personally will never again walk into a courtroom without having spoken to or hiring John. I highly recommend at the very least calling and getting yourself informed. You get that piece of mind that someone knowledgeable has your back, and you suddenly you have options that you didn’t even know about.

Efficient, knowledgeable and simply the BEST

I have hired John Terry for a couple of cases. He was efficient and knowledgeable every time. He got one case dismissed, and the other he was able to keep off my record. I highly recommend his services. He knows how to work a case!

One of the best in town!

I am single father and local chef here in the Portland/Vancouver area. I was falsely accused of a domestic violence crimes that included false gun charges. Upon finding myself arrested and thrown into this horrible, and very scary situation. As I looked for a defense attorney I ran in to the financial wall. I was unable to hire an attorney. Mr. Terry was my public defender. After meeting with Mr. Terry I quickly became confident in his ability to defend me. Terry and his dedicated team, helped me get a NOT GUILTY verdict when we took the case to jury trial. Please, take from me Mr. Terry is one of the best attorneys in Washington. If I ever need to hire an attorney again. John Terry is the only call I'm making.

Kicked Butt at Criminal Trial in 2017

John assisted another attorney that represented me in my DV trial in the Fall of 2017. We Won!! In all honesty I was expecting to win as we all considered the unique circumstances of my case, but during the entire time John showed consistency, determination, confidence, and experience. He seems to know how to get things done. It was a pleasure to watch him in action. The Jury didn't even need to deliberate for very long.
