About Zachary
Biography
I grew up in Sebastopol, California, a small town near the coast, and about an hour north of the Golden Gate. My parents were both public school teachers. They are also very funny and ethical individuals. As much as possible I try to be like that too; a funny and ethical person. As teachers and parents, they took care of a lot of people. And that’s the kind of attorney I try to be; one who takes care of, and protects his clients. I see a good attorney making a meaningful difference in not only the lives of her or his clients, but also their communities, while participating in a critical conversation with broader reaching values like access to equal justice, civic responsibility, and accountability. I also like to cook for people. I think it’s the same basic inclination—to take care of people by providing something useful, and nourishing.
Outside of the office, I love my wife, and our dog, Isa. We're excited about becoming first time parents and meeting our son. We have four chickens, and a funny old house in Portland. I also love being outside, green things, the ocean, reading books and watching movies. The NBA is my soap opera.
