When I called Mr. O’Rourke’s office I received an actual person on the other end. After calling several attorneys ranging all the way from Pierce County to Clark County and getting nothing but a machine I was pleased right away with the professionalism of his office. When Mr. O’Rourke called me bac...k we had a lengthy conversation about the charges that were being brought up against me. When we finished our conversation I felt calmer, clearly understood my options, and knew I wanted to hire Mr. Rourke. We had a meeting at his office shortly after the phone call and he explained how long the proceedings are for a case as severe as mine. I was being charged with the most severe degree of molestation. With every hearing we had we would meet at his office first so he could explain the details of the hearing to make sure I had a full understanding of what was going to be accomplished. While this case went on for around six months, there was never a night, a weekend, or a day when Mr. O’Rourke would not take my text messages, emails, or phone calls. From my understanding he is just as attentive with all of his clients. When the day of the trial came he made sure that he was there for all of my questions; no matter how simple or complex they were. As the trial went on he was very organized and very much in tune to what was going on at all times. The trial then proceeded for two days. During those two days whenever we had a break or a lunch Mr. O’Rourke made sure to sit with my family and I so he could answer any questions that we may have at that point. When we came to the end of the trial there was a lesser charge added to help the jury deliberate. When they came back they found me not guilty of both charges. I cannot commend him enough on his professionalism and proficiency. Mr. O’Rourke’s expertise in this particular area completely helped with this case. Not only during the case but even after the case he worked diligently wrapping things up. I’m also greatly appreciative of Mr. O’Rourke’s Office Staff. With zero experience with criminal law I found them to be very professional and on top of things. If I had a question they either had the answer or very quickly found out the answer for me. I hired Shane as my criminal defense attorney and I’m glad I did. For me, working in juvenile corrections as a Detention Officer and being charged with, in my opinion, an embarrassing crime of “leaving minors unattended” would become a huge blemish on my career if it wasn’t for Shane’s expertise and ...reputation with the court. What irks me most about this is that the state law says one thing but city ordinance says another. We just moved to Lewis County and came from a city that did not have this ordinance after further research. I was being charged with the city ordinance citation by Chehalis Municipal Court. We unfortunately believed every county operated under the two state laws: Rcw 9.91.060 states minors cannot be left in a parked vehicle when the person is entering a tavern or where alcohol is dispensed for consumption; Rcw 46.61.685 states minors cannot be left with vehicle’s motor running. If I knew that Chehalis had a code that only states parked vehicles, they never would’ve been in the vehicle for those fifteen minutes that my husband and I ran into the grocery store. Shane worked it out with the prosecuting attorney and my charge was dismissed. I’m so happy to have hired Shane. I cannot commend him enough on his professionalism and proficiency, especially for how irritated I was over this predicament. We cannot say enough good about Mr. Shane O'Rourke! He is absolutely worth double what we had to pay for his services! We faced charges of Rape in the First Degree (which was brought on by False Accusations, I might add) and GOD lead us to Shane O'Rourke and provided a way to get the funds!... It was an absolute miracle but that wasn't the only miracle we saw during our 10 months together. Shane's expertise in this particular area totally aided us with our case.
