My personal experience with Mr. Ricketts was that he did not represent me in a upstanding conscientious manner. He pretended to be interested in helping me during the consultation, but once he had my money, not only did he do as little as possible to help me, before and during court he was antagoni...stic, condescending and borderline berated me with prejudice and bias, in hopes I would fire him because he learned the case was more difficult than he thought for the price he charged me. ***IF Litigation is not needed And the opposing party would never lie, does not want what's in the best interest of the children rather what's in the best interest of herself, then Rockette's bargain prices and sub-par service might be a good fit for you.

I wish I could say he did the same for me that some of the other reviews have noted but it was complete opposite. In our first meeting I felt confident Mr. Ricketts had mine and my child's best interests in mind but very quickly he showed the complete opposite. He did nothing but make my case worse. ...He never filed documents that were supposed to be filed, would never answer my questions or respond to phone calls or emails. In our last court date he had the same exact argument that didn't work the 2 court dates prior and when the judge asked him blatant obvious questions regarding the case he had to turn back to me for answers. He never met with me prior to the hearings to at least tell me what to expect before hand and catch up on what had been happening. In the end he caused me to loose visitation and I had retain a new attorney to fix what he messed up. Would not recommend him to my worst enemy. I filed a complaint with the Bar Association so hopefully that will help by keeping him from messing up his next clients life. LOOK ELSE WHERE YOU WILL BE THANKFUL.

Ricketts is extremely knowledgeable , and is able to share his knowledge and guidance without arrogance or condescension. We have had only a few occasions to consult with a lawyer and ended up feeling used and abused and charged for every two minute phone conversation. Then we met Ricketts. Richard came in at a time when I truely thought there was no way I could do what my heart was screaming at me to do for my child. He has such an incrediable energy about him. He helped me to be calm, to remember to Breath ( LOL ) and to take things one step at a time. He handaled the hard parts I did... not understand but also had the patients to explain them to me so I felt comfortable through all of the processes. I had an absulutly horriable Lawyer years ago and so wish that I had known of Richard then. He would have saved me a lot of heartach, anxiety, and much Money. This time around has been so different. I truely felt & feel as I have a protecter, champion, & teacher in my corner. I speak very highly of Richard to anyone I come across that may be in need and hope these reviews reach many & help to guid them into Richards very capable hands. I've been going through a custody battle with my daughters mother for approx four years now. Over this course, Mr. Ricketts is the third lawyer that I have retained. I have spent well over $18,000 with the other two lawyers, however Mr. Ricketts accomplished more in my case than the other two did at ...a fraction of the cost. Mr. Ricketts is by far the most genuine attorney that I have ever met. He took my case with an honest interest in seeing the best outcome for my daughter. He patiently listened to my frustrations, my concerns, and thoughts through the entire process. He often made suggestions that were logical and very well thought out. He was always available to me via phone or email, and always shared information about the case with me. I was never kept in the dark. I was never over charged, nor billed for any frivolous expenses (contrary to the two previous attorneys that I had retained in this case). I honestly have to say that I don't think I would have come out as well as I did had I not retained Mr. Ricketts. Thanks to his counsel, my daughter is in a safer home than she would have been with her mother, and I get the unique opportunity to be a custodial father. Mr. Ricketts is a stand up man and lawyer. He practices with integrity and an honesty that seems very rare in his profession these days. I would recommend him to any person who is in need of a good family law attorney, but specifically to any man seeking to gain or keep custody of his children.
