Divorce and Custody Lawyer in Tacoma and Seattle, Washington

Hello, my name is Matthew Yetter, and I am the founder and lead attorney at Seacoma Law, PLLC. We have offices in Tacoma and Seattle. I provide individualized attention to each client that consults with and hires me on their case. Throughout my career I have represented hundreds of clients in divorce, custody, and other family law matters. My practice has and continues to be focused in King and Pierce counties. In fact, our offices in Tacoma and Seattle are within a few blocks of the courthouse. This is important because divorce, custody and family law matters are exclusively heard in the superior court.

Your Case is Important

Family law disputes can be extremely stressful, taking an emotional and financial toll on the family. I recognize this and advocate to minimize the damage caused by these situations. Clients are encouraged to discuss their questions and concerns about their situation with me, and I provide them with candid and compassionate advice. While there may be similarities from case to case, I have found that each person I meet with is an individual with varying interests and their own story to tell. Whether your case is a high conflict or a relatively uncontested, I will take the time to listen to you, discuss your options and help you decide the best course of action. Because hiring the right attorney is so important, I am offering you a no cost 30-minute consultation to evaluate your case.

I Understand the Importance of Family

When I am not practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my wife, five children and our dog. I love being outdoors with my family, camping, hiking, fishing etc. I am a sports fan and enjoy going to games with my kids. My wife and I enjoy the theater and are subscribers at The 5th Avenue Theater and Broadway at the Paramount.

Education

I received my Juris Doctorate from the Willamette University College of Law where I received multiple academic awards. Prior to law school I attended Southern Utah University.

Photos and videos

Another great night in Seattle with a trip to Seattle Center prior to catching a musical with my daughter at the Paramount.
My son and I in Arizona for spring training. This photo was taken prior to attending Innings Festival in Tempe.

Bright, collected, communicative
Matthew Yetter was hired after a prior poor experience with a different attorney. He came highly recommended and made room for us although he already had a full case load. He REALLY restored my faith in legal representation. I never expected a lawyer could be so attentive, resourceful and reassuring. Any idea of mine he had already thought through before I brought it up, and debriefed us every step of the way for our family law issue. Matt accomplished more in 2 months than our previous attorney had in 2 years. Opposing counsel had intimidated our previous attorney and had a reputation of being pretty cut-throat, but Matt kept focused, calm and ended up outsmarting her every step of the way. He really is the best in the business, and we will be retaining his services for any other legal matter that arises.

Mr. Yetter helped me with my divorce and custody agreement. He and his team made the experience as painless and worry free as was possible. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation.

A most satisfied client
Matt Yetter expertly and with sensitivity helped me prepare for and surmount a challenging divorce, where I initially felt overwhelmed and outgunned. Matt was patient and empathic, assisting me to establish and maintain goals that served my best interests and that were ethical to both parties. Despite my presenting challenges as a client (strongly felt emotions and ambivalence), Matt deftly and compassionately guided me through legal, situational and personal steps to achieve all desired ends to my satisfaction. Despite not knowing it at the time, Matt's work at my time of need prepared me for the coming years, life changes and challenges. His support resulted in my being now a happy, well-adjusted, productive person. I would not have achieved my current level of wellness and satisfaction without Matt's expert, caring counsel. I strongly recommend Matt Yetter for even the most complicated and challenging interpersonal circumstances. He will help you achieve your goals with dignity and integrity. John R., Auburn

Excellent Attorney
I was living in Missouri when my ex tried to stop paying his spousal maintenance. I had consulted with Matthew Yetter prior to divorce and contacted him to help with this new issue. He totally went to bat for me, listened to all of the essential details, and in the end my ex husband was denied his appeal. I would highly recommend Matthew Yetter and would not hesitate to seek his services if any other issues arise!

Amazing Attorney
Going through a high conflict divorce, Mr Yetter was absolutely amazing. He is incredibly fair in his fees and you won't feel nickeled and dimed along the way. He is a brilliant attorney and knows how to navigate the family court system extremely well. Always prepared and cool under pressure, he delivered time and time again. I would highly recommend him...he's one of the best!

Excellent Attorney
Matt has been great with our family law needs. He took time to get to know our issues and then outlined a strategy and options for getting desired results. He was fair and tough on our behalf in court. He or is amazing assistant are generally available and are great about communicating schedules to us. His fees were fair and we felt he billed his time appropriately. He has gone to court for us several times and he has been respectful and kind, he conducted himself professionally in court and we felt we were in good hands. He also provided us with documentation in a timely manner about our case so that we could respond. We are very happy with Matt and would recommend him and have recommended him to several friends.
