Navigating Divorce During COVID19

When I decided to file for divorce at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020, I researched law firms in Pierce County on avvo.com and McKinley Irvin popped up with really great reviews. Not knowing what the hell i was doing, I forwarded the reviews and firm's website to a colleague who practices law, and she said to give it a go. When I called the firm, I was greeted by a professional and courteous staff member and eventually matched up with Lindsay Camandona. A week later, I met with Lindsay and immediately knew it was a good fit and that I wanted to move forward with retaining her. From there, Lindsay and her paralegal Jackie, helped me navigate the divorce process - which initially was tricky as my to-be-ex was out of the country. While we ultimately waited for him to return stateside, I felt the additional time gave us the opportunity to prepare for the next few months of temporary orders, court, CR2A, and eventually, final orders. I especially appreciated the responsiveness of Lindsay and Jackie - I had a lot of questions from start-to-end, as I always wanted to ensure I was moving forward correctly, legally, and in good faith. Of note for me in particular, was that Lindsay often removed the emotion of the process for me - as this was a particularly difficult for me and at times, I think my knee-jerk reaction would not have been advisable. Divorce sucks. Period. Lindsay and Jackie really made it bearable and I am beyond happy with the outcome. I shouldn't fail to mention that I was able to get my divorce accomplished amidst a pandemic. That has to speak volumes of this team's commitment to resolving the worst that life can throw at you. Many thanks.

Worth Every Penny!

Not a Purring Kitten...

Attorney Lindsay Camandona and Para Jackie had my back! Divorce was terrifying and uncharted territory for me. I felt I had an entire team on my side and I was well taken care of and informed. The prompt responses to my questions put me at ease. These are Smart Women who know how to get a fair settlement. The mediator whom Lindsay chose was great as well. Pulled me out from under a Sound Transit train.

Going through a nasty divorce and my first attorney was throwing me under a Sound Transit train. Fired him and hired Lindsay Camandona at McKinley Irvin. She actually did her job to protect me. As a male in WA State, I actually got a fair trial and conclusion, which is exceedingly rare. Lindsay Camandona also gave me a realistic retainer fee, instead of the usual lo-ball / nickel and diming game the other attorneys were doing to me. Divorces are a lot of work. Lindsay professionally accumulated the data, organized it, and presented it in court in an irrefutable way. A sincere "Thank you!" to McKinley Irvin, Lindsay Camandona, and everyone who helped her.

Jackie greeted me and took me to an office took the time to explain the process and the paper work. Lindsay came in shortly after, I explained my problem. Lindsay explained my options both good and bad alike. by the time I left the office I felt so good about my decision and about the legal advice.

Lindsay Camandona is extremely competent and a caring attorney

Lindsay Camandona is cheerful and warm, highly professional and ethical, conducting herself with grace, dignity, and good humor. She is competent, efficient, works amazingly quickly, and produces high-quality work. In the courtroom, she was absolutely relentless, but in a polite and professional way. She anticipated and came prepared for everything thrown our way, whether it was mudslinging from the opposing side or circumstances out of our control. She memorized the content of thousands of pages worth of evidence, and during the two weeks of trial, she would bring up example after example in rapid-fire succession. It was truly impressive. Her years of experience with the Tacoma courts and her knowledge of local cases both past and ongoing have been vital as she has been navigating my case through one complication after another for the past 20 months. Compassion & Experience

Quite unexpectedly I found myself in need of legal intervention. With no time to spare, I reached out to her and she made time to consult with me. Professional and Compassionate

I would hire Lindsay Camandona again. She went beyond her job and helped my husband in his child support modification case. I believe that McKinley Irvin helps military families get through those though situations that unfortunately happen when you get divorce. From out of state

We entered into a non parental custody situation for our grandchildren who lived in WA for 18 months. We live in CA and the children and lived here for most of their lives. My husband found Lindsay and suggested that I call her and as I was going to WA, I arranged a meeting. From the minute I met her I felt that I was in good hands. She knew the law, knew the system and has heart for the clients that she handles. We retained Lindsay within a week and the process began. To say long, scary and frustrating would be an understatement. The two states are so different in there approach and we had lots of comments, concerns and multiple, frequent questions. Never once did she or her staff make me feel as though I was a bother to them. They reassured me every step of the way, sometimes several times a day. We ended up with a continuance which was frustrating because we were staying with the children in a hotel and time kept passing. Lindsay stayed the course and allowed us to vent and calmly let us now that she was on our side. I really felt that she understood exactly what we we were feeling. I highly recommend Ms Camandona for any family law issues. She was a God send.

1,000% Worth Every Dime

I was served papers from my ex-wife who had railroaded me on my rights when we first got divorced when my daughter asked her if she could switch her time with her mother and I. She is with her mother in WA for the school year, and I get her for breaks and the summer out of state. This was anything but cordial. I sought out Lindsay after reading online reviews on her. When we meet through Skype, she was just fantastic. She walked my wife and I through the process and told us what we could expect and told us if we had unrealistic expectations. She won our case and then some. She is a bull who won't stop for you. We absolutely keep her number for future issues. You will not be disappointed by hiring her and her firm.

Much Better Place

I consulted with Lindsay when my marriage failed and she was able to help me with concrete answers to my questions. She handled my case with a great work ethic. I hired her for a divorce with children. My case turned out much better than other men my age and situation. I have what I need for my family and life. Lindsay Camandona is the absolute best attorney ever!

I don't even know how to begin to express how I feel about Lindsay Camandona and McKinley Irvin. I went through a very painful and complicated divorce and Lindsay walked with me through every step. Getting divorced was the last thing I wanted, and it was incredibly painful, but Lindsay was not only a legal advisor and advocate, she was a compassionate supporter. She encouraged me, supported me, helped me, directed me, and represented me. When I didn't have the strength to face another day, Lindsay fought for me and my children. She is a tenacious advocate! One memory that especially stands out is when I had to go to court and see my estranged husband for the first time in months. I was beyond frightened. Lindsay sat right next to me instead of sitting in the "reserved attorney seats" up front. My husband's attorney sat up in the reserved seating, leaving my husband alone. Lindsay always sat next to me at every court hearing. Another time, I received a document from my husband that left me in tears. Lindsay called me to comfort and encourage me on. She was exactly what I needed. I trust her completely! She is absolutely the BEST attorney anyone could EVER have!
