A True Legal Warrior...

Scott Blankenship: Tenacious, focused, a true legal warrior. He helped re-establish my integrity as a Police Officer following the unlawful termination of my unblemished law enforcement career with the Vancouver (WA) Police Department. His expertise & willingness to take the fight to the end ...caused the City of Vancouver to pay the largest single employment discrimination settlement in the NW (according to Jury Verdicts Northwest), $1,650,000. His team also returned my credentials as a “Retired” police officer “In Good Standing”. As a result citizens from SW Washington, Portland, OR, & PoliceOfficers with the Fraternal Order of Police have begun writing to the US Dept of Justice & the FBI to investigate the corrupt practices within the City Attorney’s office, the Office of the Chief of Police, and the Vancouver City Manager. I would recommend Scott and his team, at any time, for any fight. Scott has once again garnered a reputation for taking on the Right Fight…& winning!

What legal representation was meant to be

I feel very fortunate to have been represented by Scott Blankenship and the Blankenship Law Firm. Scott is a seasoned veteran when it comes to the legal in's and outs of a particular case. My case...as with many cases start with great client expectations of a large payout jury trial that nets tons of... $'s for the client. The Blankenship firm taught me there are economic practicalities & cost realities that can give a client what they want....and significantly shorten the process, cost and direction to a successful outcome. For me success came with the experience of nScott being applied to the opportunity to mediate. Scott showed patience and diligence in leading me to a logical outcome that made me whole without all of the trial expenses and costs and time and risk. I strongly recommend the Blankenship Law firm to anyone who is ready for a fresh approach to an outcome that is in a clients best interest. Our case mediated successfully, I got what I wanted and all others really got what they wanted. Scott effectively mediated my case so that it was a win-win-win outcome. I am positive that even my advesary is thankful to the Blankenship Law Firm...in particular Mr. Scott Blankenship. Additionally, I feel that I can trust Scott with matters and today I call myself a Friend....not a client! Thank you Mr. Blankenship for helping guide me to a positive outcome.

Unrelenting Powerhouse

As you go through life you compile a mental list of those things that are most important. A solid family, good health, friends, and for some of us the occasion will arise to add one more item to the list — a great attorney. Nobody wants to seek legal help, but sometimes things are so egregious we... are left with no other alternative. I am a college educated veteran with more than 35 years as a successful business person in upper management. For many years I worked at the same firm and as my tenure there grew, so did the constant kidding about my age until it got downright nasty. Then it became a focal point to get rid of me when I complained about it. There is a lot more to the story, but let it suffice to say that being forced out solely because of my age was a real blow. This began two of the longest years of my life. I found Scott Blankenship after my former employer’s mother in law suggested I retain him. She had just won a suit against a former employer on similar grounds using Scott. I know this is getting a little complicated, but it points out how bad an employer can be when even his own family says to sue him. Scott and his staff teamed up and were unwavering in their assault. The opposition tried to drag in every phony witness they could muster, filed a counter suit and Scott picked them all apart in court like a skilled surgeon. He flushed out the liars and until finally they had no more falsehoods they could manufacture. Let me tell you there were some dark days in this lawsuit. The business community in our area got wind of it, and I had trouble finding work. But Scott never wavered; he fought as hard the last day as he did the first. We settled after more man hours then you can imagine. Scott’s firm, his close association with the EEOC, his reputation in the legal community with the judges and other attorneys assured our victory. You feel like you’re working with some very high test legal firm as depicted on TV. Actually you are working with an experienced, competent, and talented firm, absolutely the best. If you have any doubts, check his website for all the cases he has won and settlements he has received. A satisfied client.

Client Review

Scott Blankenship and his firm changed my life. I had tried to fight a criminal case alone for 2 years, entrusting my faith that evidence alone would bring justice. When I realized I couldn't win this fight without a legal advocate, I contacted Scott to pursue the case civilly. During the deposition... process, the defendants lawyers competed with a vulture-like hunger to rip me apart and further victimize a victim. But having Scott to back me, it felt like I had had a lion in the room protecting me. Scott Blankenship has an incredible ability as a lawyer beyond what can be taught at any school or even through experience; he understands the plight of a victim. During the most rigorous and emotional steps of the process, he and his staff made me feel at great ease with their sincerity in my triumph over this. Not only did we prevail civilly, but Scott greatly expedited my criminal case as well. I feel redeemed and I extend the entire Blankenship firm my deepest gratitude.

Superb and Ethical Attorney Who Cares

I hired Scott Blankenship to represent me with an employment issue at a company where I had worked for over twelve years. During our initial phone discussion it was obvious to me that he was clearly listening and was definitely asking all the right questions. Once we met at his office to review more ...details of my situation, I knew that he was the person that I wanted to represent me. Scott showed that he genuinely cared about what I was going through and that he wanted to help. His actions gave me confidence and hope. Over the ensuing months my admiration for Scott evolved because I saw that he was a person who kept his word and that we were clearly working as a team towards a common goal. Something that I appreciated most about Scott is his high ethical standards and integrity. I could not have asked for a better person to work with who happended to be an outstanding attorney.

"I had the pleasure to work with Scott as co-counsel in the race discrimination trial of Zhang v. American Gem Seafoods. The jury returned a verdict of $3,100,000.00, which is one of the highest awards ever returned for this type of case. Scott fought for this client serving as appellate and lead counsel all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. He ultimately obtained a final recovery of close to $4,000,000.00. This exceptional outcome is a testament to Scott’s high standards of trial preparation, tenaciousness in court, and skill as an appellate lawyer. I have no hesitation in recommending Scott to any potential client. Peter M. Brown, Dawson-Brown ps"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
