Scott Blankenship believes that no person, government, or corporate entity is beyond the reach of the law, and is committed to seeing that our court system protects and advances fundamental rights, not only for his clients, but for our nation and community.
He has built a law firm committed to enforcing justice for individual and employee rights. For more than two decades, the firm’s passionate and experienced lawyers have prevailed against the largest companies and entities in both trial and on appeal, obtaining proven results with multiple seven‑figure recoveries in complex civil cases including class actions in state and federal courts. Recent results include a $4.25 million settlement for two scientists that suffered discrimination and retaliation by Washington State Department of Health (2025), a $1.68 million recovery for two public servants fired for standing up against systemic discrimination by Washington State Dairy Products Commission (2025), a $15 million multi-state class action recovery for approximately 150 mortgage loan officers against Banner Bank (Washington, Oregon, and California (2024), a $8.9 million arbitration award for two physicians in Bauer & Romney v. CHI Franciscan (2020), a $2.5 million recovery for a physician in Anel v. CHI Franciscan (2015), a $1.86 million recovery for able bodies seaman in Miranda v. Alaska Longline (2017), and a $1.7 million class action recovery in 2018.
Scott has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” – one of the top 5% of lawyers in Washington – each year since 2003. Other honors and awards include being named as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Washington by the National Trial Lawyers, from 2007 – 2026, and being selected as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” from 2012-2026 by Best Lawyers. Scott also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from America’s Top 100 Attorneys, and has been named one of the state of Washington’s Top 25 Class Action Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers. Scott was recently featured in the Washington 2019 edition of Super Lawyers magazine, naming him “The Worker’s Warrior.” Scott was also featured by Washington CEO Magazine as one of the top ten Employment/Labor Lawyers in Washington State, and was the featured lawyer in the employment law edition of the King County Bar Bulletin. He is “AV Preeminent” ranked by his peers, the highest rating in Martindale-Hubbell’s National Law Directory, “A” signifying preeminent knowledge of the law and “V” signifying very high ethics.*
Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA, graduating with the distinction of Chancellor’s Marshal. He went on to study law at Cambridge University in England, and earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal.

What a journey to the truth and success
Scott and his firm were terrific in a lawsuit for wrongful termination representing me and several others against a large corporation. The law suit started with just myself, but after weeks, it began to include others. After several months there were five of us that were part of this law suit, that...

"I have worked with Scott drafting legislation to improve workers' rights in Washington. He is clear, articulate, and organized. He is also easy to get along with when he's on your team, but I hear he's tough on the other side!"
"I had the pleasure to work with Scott as co-counsel in the race discrimination trial of Zhang v. American Gem Seafoods. The jury returned a verdict of $3,100,000.00, which is one of the highest awards ever returned for this type of case. Scott fought for this client serving as appellate and lead counsel all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. He ultimately obtained a final recovery of close to $4,000,000.00. This exceptional outcome is a testament to Scott’s high standards of trial preparation, tenaciousness in court, and skill as an appellate lawyer. I have no hesitation in recommending Scott to any potential client. Peter M. Brown, Dawson-Brown ps"
