A true champion for your case

I cannot say enough good things about Scott and his entire team at the Blankenship Law Firm. I reached out to Scott for legal counsel for a gender and race discrimination claim against my former employer. I've worked in biotech for over a decade, and the attitude towards women in science has never ...been fully supportive, but it bordered on abusive at my previous place of employment. I came to Scott at an absolute low point; in the full swings of postpartum depression, amid the chaos of a constructive discharge, and his entire team treated me with kindness, and empathy. Scott and his team never once doubted my claim, and fought fiercely for my case. There are many lawyers you can choose who are proficient in the law, but what you get at the Blankenship Law Firm are more than lawyers, you get champions for your claim. They understand the difference between vengeance and justice, and help you make informed decisions. It is not easy to fight for your legal rights, conflict is not easy. However, when you decide to take up the mantel to fight for your legal rights, there is no better law firm to fight at the front lines. Scott, Tobin, and Matt became my professional worriers, and served as my human shields. I truly believe they helped me get a very good settlement. I believe they helped me get justice for what was done to me. The settlement amount itself was substantial, but more than that ,what Scott and his team brought me was closure. The literal nightmares that I once had are now less frequent , and I now have the confidence to know I can do hard things with the right support. The Blankenship Law Firm has my highest recommendation. If you are uncertain about your claim or which lawyer to choose, at least reach out to the Blankenship Law Firm, after that first meeting, you will realize they are the best in the business.

A Genius Lawfirm that I am forever Grateful to!

I remember years ago feeling lost and confused, knowing inside something wrongful was done to me at my employment when I was termination from my job after coming back from maternity leave. I was lucky enough to find the Blankenship Lawfirm who listened to what had happen and helped me put all the pie...ces together. Every step of this process on their end has been thorough and professional. They guided me through this process and never gave up on our case. It was unbelievable what was relieved and the discrimination that had took place on me as a woman and new mother in the workplace. Scott is a genius man and I am forever grateful for what him and his lawfirm has done for me . The finale results were more than I could have ever imagined when we started this process . But the most important thing they helped me do, is stand up for myself. I feel proud of what we accomplished. Thank you Scott and your whole team. You guys are family to me now . I highly recommend this lawfirm.

What a journey to the truth and success

Scott and his firm were terrific in a lawsuit for wrongful termination representing me and several others against a large corporation. The law suit started with just myself, but after weeks, it began to include others. After several months there were five of us that were part of this law suit, that... not only included wrongful termination for me,, but now it was clear all 5 were a part of a very hostile work environment. 3 of the team were women and again Scott was able to determine that each were sexually harassed. This was a very important part of representing me against a large corporation due to adding to the case. We faced a very large law firm that had unlimited resources, and has offices throughout the USA and Europe. They were never intimidated, or discouraged, and gave us great support throughout a 2 year process to get us a proper settlement. We were 100% prepared for our depositions, etc. And their depositions against our former employer were amazing, as key people admitted bad behavior which is not easy to do. Bottom line, a tough case is an amazing journey. Us 5 couldn't have done it without Scott's and his team 110% commitment to getting the truth to come out.

A skilled and determined advocate

Scott and his team are skilled, thorough and genuinely motivated by their client's stories to work for a just resolution. My employer, a large Catholic healthcare system, had insisted on radical changes in their critical care units that I predicted would result in predictably dangerous consequenc...es for patients and those taking care of them. I tendered my resignation in protest however the employer then attempted me to force me to remain in my job for 120 days which would have resulted in my participation in plans which would violate my professional judgement and oath. Scott listened carefully until he understood my complex issues and the outcome I hoped to achieve. With his experienced help I was able to leave my employer on my own terms and not participate in what I felt to be a dangerous and unethical plan. If you have been wronged and seek an exceptional and genuinely passionate advocate, you should meet with Scott Blankenship.

"With Scott’s Integrity, Work-ethic, and Razor-sharp Advocacy in Court, I Got a Great Result And Helped Me Clear my Name"

When I was abruptly terminated without cause, I knew it was grossly unfair and I had to fight it. But I didn’t know where to begin—my reputation was ruined and most people I approached, both professionally and socially, looked at me with suspicion and disdain. Since I was fired from a large, powerfu...l, popular Catholic healthcare system, colleagues and friends thought that I must have done something terrible to deserve termination. It was an extremely stressful time for my family and me. Thankfully, we eventually met Scott and his team as a referral from a physician colleague. Scott listened to me thoroughly and believed in me. While everyone—family, friends, and enemies alike—wanted me to just let it go and leave town, Scott understood my need to clear my name. This was all I needed. It was a great comfort to be heard, but also very empowering to know that a lawyer of his caliber and experience was willing to stand by a ruined individual like me to fight a big institution. Catholic Health Initiatives/CHI Franciscan Health was brutal and brazen with its retaliation and harassment, but Scott did not back down. He thoughtfully advised me about big and small decisions. He was always available to talk or meet. He was sincerely concerned about the lawsuit’s impact on my family. His staff was immensely supportive, thorough and efficient. I truly felt that I had a team before me and behind me at all times. They sought out my input constantly. It was a solid collaboration. I no longer felt alone. I saw Scott in action in many settings—in legal communications, in depositions, in court, in mediation — and he is razor-sharp and relentless. I was at awe at Scott’s attention to every legal detail. With his staff, we poured over more than 10,000 pages of documents and more than 40 hours of videos. Scott and I worked through several lunch hours and even met with witnesses on several Sundays. His work ethic is exemplary, his devotion to a just cause nothing short of admirable, and his integrity beyond reproach. Much to everyone’s surprise, just over a week before trial was to begin, we won a $2.5 million settlement from Catholic Health Initiatives/CHI Franciscan Health. It was only then that many people looked at me without suspicion and disdain. They began to listen and ask for details. Only then did they believe that a physician could be wrongfully terminated and maliciously framed by a big beloved Catholic institution. This made me appreciate Scott even more, that he trusted me and was willing to defend me when it was too inconvenient and complicated for most. I have no doubt that the successful resolution of my lawsuit was directly due to the great skill and expertise of Scott and his team at The Blankenship Law Firm.

"I had the pleasure to work with Scott as co-counsel in the race discrimination trial of Zhang v. American Gem Seafoods. The jury returned a verdict of $3,100,000.00, which is one of the highest awards ever returned for this type of case. Scott fought for this client serving as appellate and lead counsel all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. He ultimately obtained a final recovery of close to $4,000,000.00. This exceptional outcome is a testament to Scott’s high standards of trial preparation, tenaciousness in court, and skill as an appellate lawyer. I have no hesitation in recommending Scott to any potential client. Peter M. Brown, Dawson-Brown ps"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
