I was arrested in 2012 for federal fraud and Bob Goldsmith was my attorney. I was facing a good amount of prison time because of my criminal history and Bob took the time to work with DA office to get me a lesser sentence. He is a great Lawyer and person he definitely knows what he is doing. He stays on top of your case and always let's you know what's going on. Once I was released from prison I was put on 36 months of probation after only serving 18 months he filed my motion to terminate probation and it was granted. I can say that if I ever need a attorney I will call Bob Goldsmith!

I was faced with a first time DUI after running my truck into a home and blowing a .218. So of course I had a number of fast talking attorneys wanting to charge me 10k to make false accusations about the local PD, the breathalyzer and the circumstances of my arrest. I wanted absolutely NO part of that! I was relieved when I spoke with Mr. Goldsmith and he listened to me, HEARD what I said, and spoke on my behalf to the courts. It worked out better than I ever could have imagined. It was reduced to reckless driving, I received zero jail time, only $100 court fee, and unsupervised probation. So, this would be your guy if you want someone to hear you and respect your wishes. Good luck!

Mr Goldsmith is a helluva lawyer. I was charged with 10 felonies in a very complex case in which the state was charging me with conspiracies and theft by deception, and Mr. Goldsmith joined Mr. Coe to help defend me. From the start Mr Goldsmith warned me what to expect and truly took the time to understand my perspective. That is often lost in the land of procedures and statutes. This man knows his law, he knows his procedures and he keeps it as real as it is. And the best thing overall is that he & Mr. Coe worked hard and beat each and every felony that I faced. I am grateful & I would recommend Mr Goldsmith to anyone in need of criminal defense

I was being represented by another lawyer in Bob's office who died suddenly a few months before we were to go to trial. Bob took over the case and represented me. He was able to sort though the other attorney's papers and get up to speed quickly. Our case had multiple defendants each with their own lawyer. The other lawyers had limited trial experience. Bob took the lead and guided our group.
I was a challenging client with very unconventional ideas and also very emotional and Bob was able to work with me. Our group decided to try a risky defense - necessity. Bob let us know the risks (about a 5% chance or less of getting it - due to our circumstances). Against his advice - we went for it. His brief that he submitted to the court were very well written and persuasive and we got the chance to go to trial using this defense.
Our trial was a week long. When I took the stand I was an emotional mess. I couldn't think - I was having a panic attack. Bob was able to request and unscheduled recess and calmed me down (a very difficult thin to do at that time). He got me back on the stand and was able to get me to focused enough to answer the questions.
After the entire case was presented, the judge made a ruling in which instructions that were given to the jury were somewhat limiting ( the risk of the necessity defense coming onto play). Bob had to rewrite his closing argument over lunch - in very short time. Nevertheless his closing argument was brilliant! We were pleased with the outcome and after the trial when we spoke to the jurors they admitted that they would have acquitted us on all counts had they been allowed to consider all of the expert witnesses that we called.
In summary, Bob's experience was crucial and showed up in many ways. He understands the needs of the court and is able to convey the facts clearly and simply. He is a great writer, compassionate, organized, patient and incredibly smart. If you hire Bob Goldsmith to represent you - you are lucky to have him in your corner.

Mr. Goldsmith was offered to me as a public defender. I was very skeptical as I didn't know how well public defenders defended "a criminal" But all that doubt went away when I met Mr. Goldsmith. He was so helpful and always gave advice to that was always best for me, Whether it be something I want to hear or not. Mr. Goldsmith helped me to the best of his ability. He had to do a lot of researching and round abouts since I was being faced with a felony, but not a citizen. Mr. Goldsmith successfully stopped any talks of deportation! After my case was over and put behind us for almost 6 years more issues came about with my restitution. Not knowing where to turn I gave giving Mr. Goldsmith a call to see if he could help. With no hesitation, he helped me and try to resolve the issue, even after six years!!!! I will say I was assigned a very helpful, knowledgeable and strong lawyer! Thank you again for all of your efforts, even after 8 years I am forever grateful!

I had gotten my self into a bad situation and needed a lawyer. I got bob's number from a friend. I knew from talking to him during the consultation that he was going to be able to help me. He is very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do moving forward with my case in a positive way. He is very easy to work with and helped me so I didn't have to stress out about my case. I hope I don't ever get in this situation again but if I do I will call Bob.

From the moment I shook hands with Robert Goldsmith, I knew I had made the right choice.
I needed legal council, and chose Bob Goldsmith based on a recommendation from a peer. From the beginning of our client/lawyer relationship, to the end, Bob was professional yet comforting in his demeanor, poise and performance. It was an arduous process, that without him as a guide I would have been truly lost.
The legal process is not streamline, and with many confusing steps to take I would recommend to anyone considering legal representation, to get representation. And based on my personal experience, I would recommend Bob Goldsmith. Thank you, Bob, I am grateful to have been represented by such a professional and caring person.

I am not a lawyer. Most of these reviews are like the restaurant reviews, they're just a pack of lies written up by the poeple who work there. Have you ever noticed how amazing the pictures of the dinners all look?
Well, I digress….I had hired another attorney first because I was arrested one night even though I was the one who was assaulted. (That's your Seattle Police Dept at work folks) After a couple of pre-trial motions I realized my lawyer was just too inexperienced in criminal law and since I had every intent on going to trial because I was absolutely not guitly I looked around a bit more and stumbled upon Bob Goldsmith. In our consultation he was smart, direct and all around impressive. Even though he seemed to have a good grasp of my case, and this is where most lawyers lose your case, they don't even look at their notes until 10 minutes before trial, Bob seemed to have a pretty good grasp of the facts within just minutes. Even though he thought we would probably win, he warned me any trial is a crapsshoot and there are no guarantees. He reminded me that it was such a minor alleged crime I should just take the DA's pitiful deal, do the community service, save myself the $3000 he would have charged and move on with my life. The guy who assaulted me was a real lying-low-life and we agreed it would all eventually come back to bite him in the butt. Most lawyers it's the other way around. They just want to rack up the fees and couldn't care less if they win or lose. It was a tough decision because I was totally innocent, but Bob warned me that anything can happen at a trial and all I have to do is just stay out of trouble for a year. I've never been in trouble in my life so I took our wondefully ignorant DA's deal, a man who obviously couldn't care less about justice, only winning. He knew knowing nothing about my case and had he any real integrity at all, he would just have dismissed the case, but JUSTICE has nothing to do with our criminal justice system and the police make no effort to find out the truth. It's been quite a frightening experience dealing with the police and the DA. We really do live in a police state and are completely powerless. However, if you find yourelf in a pickle and need a good, honest, decent lawer who will really look out for your best interests, call Bob Goldsmith.

Faced with a difficult future, I turned to Robert Goldsmith. Personally he expressed concern, showed me my choices and then let me decide. He treated me with respect under questionable circumstances and never judged me. Professionally Robert Goldsmith guided me through the turbulence of court and brought a decisive, positive outcome with no surprises. Robert Goldsmith's honesty is among many of his top qualities. I would not think twice to hire him again.
