"Please, call me Bob."

From the moment I shook hands with Robert Goldsmith, I knew I had made the right choice. I needed legal council, and chose Bob Goldsmith based on a recommendation from a peer. From the beginning of our client/lawyer relationship, to the end, Bob was professional yet comforting in his demeanor, po...ise and performance. It was an arduous process, that without him as a guide I would have been truly lost. The legal process is not streamline, and with many confusing steps to take I would recommend to anyone considering legal representation, to get representation. And based on my personal experience, I would recommend Bob Goldsmith. Thank you, Bob, I am grateful to have been represented by such a professional and caring person.

The first lawyer to call for a criminal suit!

I am not a lawyer. Most of these reviews are like the restaurant reviews, they're just a pack of lies written up by the poeple who work there. Have you ever noticed how amazing the pictures of the dinners all look? Well, I digress….I had hired another attorney first because I was arrested one night... even though I was the one who was assaulted. (That's your Seattle Police Dept at work folks) After a couple of pre-trial motions I realized my lawyer was just too inexperienced in criminal law and since I had every intent on going to trial because I was absolutely not guitly I looked around a bit more and stumbled upon Bob Goldsmith. In our consultation he was smart, direct and all around impressive. Even though he seemed to have a good grasp of my case, and this is where most lawyers lose your case, they don't even look at their notes until 10 minutes before trial, Bob seemed to have a pretty good grasp of the facts within just minutes. Even though he thought we would probably win, he warned me any trial is a crapsshoot and there are no guarantees. He reminded me that it was such a minor alleged crime I should just take the DA's pitiful deal, do the community service, save myself the $3000 he would have charged and move on with my life. The guy who assaulted me was a real lying-low-life and we agreed it would all eventually come back to bite him in the butt. Most lawyers it's the other way around. They just want to rack up the fees and couldn't care less if they win or lose. It was a tough decision because I was totally innocent, but Bob warned me that anything can happen at a trial and all I have to do is just stay out of trouble for a year. I've never been in trouble in my life so I took our wondefully ignorant DA's deal, a man who obviously couldn't care less about justice, only winning. He knew knowing nothing about my case and had he any real integrity at all, he would just have dismissed the case, but JUSTICE has nothing to do with our criminal justice system and the police make no effort to find out the truth. It's been quite a frightening experience dealing with the police and the DA. We really do live in a police state and are completely powerless. However, if you find yourelf in a pickle and need a good, honest, decent lawer who will really look out for your best interests, call Bob Goldsmith.

He saved our dog from the city...

Bob, helped keep us calm and level headed through out the process of preparing for our trial. He encouraged us to keep open communication with our neighbors even when it was difficult for us. He was mindful of our need to help keep costs at a reasonable level. We are truly appreciative for his help ...and saved our dog from being put down by the city.

Grace

Faced with a difficult future, I turned to Robert Goldsmith. Personally he expressed concern, showed me my choices and then let me decide. He treated me with respect under questionable circumstances and never judged me. Professionally Robert Goldsmith guided me through the turbulence of court and bro...ught a decisive, positive outcome with no surprises. Robert Goldsmith's honesty is among many of his top qualities. I would not think twice to hire him again.

Avoid this Lawyer

Mr. Goldsmith failed to properly defend my family member which had devastating life changing results. We had to hire a second lawyer to partially undo the damage caused by Mr. Goldsmith. His interview techniques actually made the situation worse and resulted in additional charges by the prosecutor.... If you need professional legal help, please look elsewhere

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Bob gets my highest endorsement. I know Bob as a former professor of mine from law school and also from his sterling reputation and substantial achievements (such as winning a Federal jury trial this year). I’ve never heard a single negative thing about Bob and the best legal minds I know all speak so highly of him. As a professor, Bob was obviously brilliant but also his class was fun and truly prepared you for actual courtroom practice. There are only a handful of classes I wish I could take again now that I’m practicing law, and Bob’s Criminal Motions class is number one on the list. I refer people to Bob all the time as well. He’s sharp, experienced, ethical, and an ardent advocate. Doesn’t get any better than Bob."

"Bob was trial counsel in a matter where our mutual client was found not guilty of all of the charged felonies. I was able to file a fantastic appeal on the remaining misdemeanor because of Bob's remarkable work. He is a client's lawyer who worked tirelessly to expose the weaknesses in the government's case and secure a victory for his client."

"I endorse Mr. Goldsmith for many reasons, all of which are what make a great defense lawyer. He is a smart, savvy and dedicated advocate. In addition to these attributes, Bob draws on vast experience to make him a true pro. We just won a difficult jury trial with the best part being his cross examination of a witness, which was truly courtroom excellence to behold!"

"I endorse Bob Goldsmith without reservation. Whenever I have a federal practice question about the Western Dist. of WA., I ask Bob. He is a very hard worker, cares about his Client's, and has the respect of the judges. He always knows what will work in a particular judge's court. He is excellent to consult for court strategy, because he is not afraid to take tough cases to trial. No wonder he has taught trial practice classes before. After I have brainstormed with him, I always feel like I have covered critical issues well, and will provide better service to my Client."
