I paid Jessica Pedemonte a $100 fee for an hour consultation starting at 10:00 A.M. She led me into her office at 10:10 and then completed the consultation at 10:40 for a total of about 30 minutes. During the consultation, I told her about a case that I wanted an advocate for with DHS. Rather than te...lling me what all of my options might be, she concluded before knowing any of the facts that I would lose a case with them (she did not even mention I could defend myself in a case with them), and then tried to convince me that losing is not so bad. The issue had to do with child custody, and she tried to minimize the importance of custodial rights without knowing any details of my situation. I had to bring up the possibility of particular options, but she did not pursue these very far and frankly seemed unwilling to help me.
