Jamie Hazlett

Absolutely amazing experience. Jamie and her office are fighting tooth and nail to help me with our case. They're all very sympathetic and genuinely care about their clients. We're still fighting in court but I know Jamie will do everything to make sure justice is served and all wrongs have been rectified.

I hired Jamie to represent me in my divorce. She is very matter of fact and knows the divorce laws in Oregon. I've already been to arbitration and once I saw Jamie "in action" during the arbitration, I knew that I hired the right attorney. She knows my case, doesn't back down and is able to push back with facts. We had a court date, but the other side failed to file paperwork necessary for their case so the case is pushed out further, but Jamie was able to get a small financial award for me during that hearing. If you are looking for an attorney to hold your hand or to coddle you, Jamie is not that attorney. But if you want to trust someone with getting the job done, who knows the law and will fight for your best interest, Jamie is that attorney.

Jamie did a great job handling the parenting plan revision. She was honest and a did a great job stating the facts and laying out all the different options. She was very efficient and a good value for the money I paid. I appreciate her help.

Jamie was the third attorney I hired durring my extremely Contentious custody battle, and continued issues with DHS. She was by far the most responsive efficient and effective attorney of all of them. Her team was so very professional, polite and pragmatic. When DHS showed up at the hospital and tried to pull a quick one, I was able to reach Jamie on her cell phone and she showed up within 15 minutes and put them in their place, respectively and professionally but also with compassion and very matter of factly. I have already recommended her team to family and friends and I will continue to do so. I will never have to look for another family law attorney so long as Jamie is in business.

Jamie did a wonderful job with our move away case. We did mostly everything via e-mail due to the long distance, and she was very prompt on responding and reassuring me that both her and her staff were working very hard on our case. I retained Jamie shortly after my ex started hiding my child from me. A few weeks after I filed for divorce I started getting DHS complaints, but she quickly got a court order to go back to 50/50 time like we had done before. Over the 2+ years of this divorce I received several, several more complaints to DHS from my ex, or mandatory reporters my ex would talk to. Jamie helped me navigate this process with DHS. She was very realistic in what my expectations should be and never gave me false hope which I feel others would do in order to keep you as a client. This was a significant case of Parental alienation with several DHS complaints. Her guidance was key in helping me through this as her support was amazing. I felt so significantly protected by her and her reputation at the court house. By the time we got to court after 2 years of struggles my ex had started hiding my child from me again for almost 2 months. We went to court and I was able to get 50/50 parenting time because of her. Through her hard work and attention to detail she was able to discover that DHS was actually concerned about my ex at the point of getting the divorce, and that law enforcement was as well. She had them testify which was significant for me and my child (who by this point had his own attorney that wasn't willing to meet with me. They would only meet with my ex and my child). Jamie stood her ground very well against two attorneys and was able to show the judge it was in my child's best interest to have me involved. She was able to articulate the concern for parental alienation in a way that allowed the judge to see what was happening. As a result of this the judge ordered and reunification expert be involved who has developed concerns for what my child goes through with me ex. Although at first she was very direct with me, as time went on and she saw the concerning patterns emerging, she had such empathy for me which I found very helpful during that struggling time. I would recommend her to anyone that I felt was honest. My best piece of advice is never try and be less than truthful with any attorney, but especially with her. I did feel that she fought so hard for me and my child because I was honest with her and provided documents initially that helped show that. But as time went on it was her hard work that discovered more documents that supported my case. I fully plan to retain her until my child is 18 as I feel she protected him when I felt like I wasn't able to. I hold her in such high respect for the great person, and attorney she is.

Our son hired Jamie Hazlett because he had heard she was an excellent high conflict divorce/custody attorney. Our sons case was a 2 year journey, which also included DHS involvement. Ms Hazlett was very knowledgeable, compassionate, and went into the court room prepared for battle. She has excellent case building skills, is highly organized and is on top of her game at all times. We had many questions but never felt rushed. Her office staff was exceptional. I hired jamie a year ago for a very complicated case. She was affordable and very professional and did excellent work her crew is amazing and was worth everything.
