I am a Southern Oregon native and love the community I work with and for. I graduated from Willamette University College of Law and Atkinson Graduate School of Management in 2016 with a dual degree, earning my JD and MBA. I have a background in business and customer service, particularly in real estate and the construction industry. I spent twelve years in the private sector prior to attending graduate school.
During law school, I had an opportunity to work as a court-certified law clerk for a busy family law firm. There I was able to take on my own cases under the supervision of my attorney and I found the practice area exciting, interesting, and challenging. Family law has proven to be a great way to gain invaluable courtroom experience and learn the skills of successfully managing a large case load.
My practice is moving away from family law, and into the areas of law that represent where my passion lies, natural resources. Particularly land use and water law. I was raised in a family where my father is a land developer and my mother is a conservationist. Needless to say, our dinner time conversations where never dull when new projects were starting. I sit on the Jackson County Board of Commissioner's Natural Resources Advisor Board. Through this involvement, I get to see what groups, individuals, and agencys are doing around the Rogue Valley to further the goals of a sustainable future and stewardship of our natural resources.
The overarching piece to my practice - regardless of legal issue - is that I am interested in helping people walk through whatever crisis they are facing with effective advocacy. I am motivated to help people meet in the middle as much as possible. Each person has something to gain and lose in any transaction. It's part of my job to fully explain that to my clients.
I strive to always be honest, thorough, and conduct myself with integrity. It is important that my clients know that when they ask me a question, they will always receive an honest answer...even if it is not one they will like.
Practice areas
I have experience advocating in all areas of domestic relations. Currently, I am only taking my current clients, former clients, and attorney referred clients.
