When I first came to Cheryl for a consult about whether I was disabled, she was honest and direct with me about the issues in my case. She gave me a lot of good advice.
I came back to her for my second application after a very bad experience with folks who told me what I wanted to hear - that I had a winnable case. I lost that one but with Cheryl, I won. I wouldn't hire anyone else.

I never write reviews, but due to the incredible job Cheryl did for me, I wanted to write this. Cheryl was with me from the start with my SSDI claim. She helped me navigate the daunting process of filing my claim, appealing two denials and representing me in court. After two and a half years of working effortlessly, I won my case. Cheryl is incredibly supportive, patient and reliable. She was quick to respond to my questions and concerns and treated me with dignity and respect. I could also see that she is well respected within the law community. Cheryl is an outstanding attorney. I must add that Cheryl has a rare quality that stood out to me immediately upon first meeting her. She has a sincere and deep compassion for her clients. Even if I had not won my case, my opinion of Cheryl wouldn't have changed. I couldn't have chosen a better attorney to represent me.

I wish I'd met the C. C. you're all talking about when I consulted with her. Instead, after being interviewed by her assistant for a while, my experience was of her storming into the room, reading me the riot act based on a couple of misunderstandings, one on her part. In my vulnerable state, the last thing I expected or needed was that kind of unprofessional behavior. I wouldn't do business with her if she was the last lawyer in Oregon.

Ms. Coon and her staff stayed strong and followed-up on my case from start to finish. This was a complicated matter, with many life-long,threatening and permanent injuries. Ms. Coon and her staff (Erin Daniels) informed me of what I had rights to, what I needed to do to qualify, and made me feel so much better that this was to right route to take for all I had been through medically -- both military and civilian injuries/damages. Ms. Coon and her staff explained in detail what would be allowed by the Social Security rules. I can only thank them for all of the hard work, dedication, and hours put into my case, for myself and my family. As to the monetary aspect,, this firm was professional, explaining in detail the Retainer Agreement, fees, and out-of-pocket costs. I would not hesitate retain (if need be) or refer anyone to this firm. My thanks to Ms. Coon and her staff from my family and I.

I met with this attorney and her staff to evaluate if I should apply for social security disability benefits. I have never met one attorney, much less a whole office of attorneys and staff, who embody intelligence and integrity and competence and compassion as this one does.
I know without a doubt that, if I'd decided to pursue the disability benefits, Ms. Coon and her folks would have fought hard and tenaciously on my behalf.

Our family hired Cheryl to take on our brother's social security disability appeal. Cheryl and her staff informed us from day one what to expect from her and what she expected from us. She stuck to the facts and let us know of positive points and weaknesses in the case. A few months before the hearing she informed us that she was concerned about winning this case and that it was on the weak side due to the absence of some medical information, but she had and would do anything possible to get a positive outcome for our brother. She believed in our brother and that he needed these benefits to live out his life. He spent most of his life paying into the system. She won the case. Our family has been working on this for our brother for almost 3 years and Cheryl was successful in finally getting him the security he needs to live the remainder of his life. She is the most focused and tenacious individual I know and has a feisty side that is definitely needed for this type of case. Thanks to Cheryl Coon and her firm for their continued support and professionalism.

Attorney Cheryl Coon successfully (!) represented me in my Social Security Disability case in a most expert, unhurried, thorough, timely and kind/ courteous manner .
She brought her many years of experience, and her quite evident expertise in this Legal specialty efficiently to bear in managing my complex, challenging, & rather unique case .
Attorney Coon patiently listened to and understood me, and studied/ analyzed all of the very extensive documentation related to my case .
She was always patient, clear and complete in her discussions with me, and in the counseling/ advice that she gave to me .
I feel that her fee was very reasonable for her expertise & for the time ( which she perhaps underestimated a bit , & certainly did not at all overestimate ) which she devoted to my case ( which I sometimes requested on a rather urgent basis ! ).
I most especially appreciated Attorney Coon's commendable flexibility and skills in accommodating my personal ideas and concerns reference my case, by expertly 'dovetailing' their representation into her superb final presentation on my behalf !

Cheryl F. Coon provided noteworthy representation in dealing with the Social Security Disability process. She had an extraordinary amount of material to examine in my case and kept me informed as the process proceeded. I would and have recommended her to anyone looking for representation when dealing with the Social Security Administration. My case was extremely complicated and her professionalism, knowledge, and experience made the difference.

By the end of the initial phone conversation I had with Cheryl Coon regarding the specifics of my SSD case, I knew she would be a superb advocate for me and would do everything in her power to obtain a positive--and expeditious--outcome in my SSD case. I could tell she was not only highly knowledgeable regarding all aspects of "Social Security World" and its complexities, but she already had formulated a comprehensive, well thought out 'game plan' for how she intended to proceed based on the specifics of my case, including my DLI, time of onset of symptoms and abnormal labs, nature and date of official diagnosis, anticipated life expectancy, and so forth.
From the day that Cheryl agreed to take on my case and represent me until the day a decision was made regarding the claim, I was confident that I had the best representation possible. Cheryl demonstrated high ethical standards and the level of dedication and commitment she brought to my case was remarkable and could not have been exceeded. Cheryl's perseverance, coupled with her wealth of expertise and ability to present key issues and evidence to SSA in a clear, persuasive, and cogent manner, resulted in a favorable decision, for which I am very grateful.
In addition to everything she did for me on a professional level, and for keeping me apprised of the status of my case and quickly responding to any questions I had throughout the process, Cheryl always related to me in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner, which powerfully conveyed to me that she fully grasped and was sensitive to the human, personal dimension of my situation as well as the legal aspects of the case itself. Cheryl was not only adept at determining how best to approach my case strategically from a legal vantage point, but she never lost sight of the fact that I was an individual who was living with a challenging diagnosis, which also meant a great deal to me.
In summary, Cheryl Coon is a consummate professional who goes above and beyond in pursuing cases she believes have merit and I recommend her wholeheartedly. She's deserving of a six-star rating on a five-star scale!
