Absolutely honest and direct; asked a lot and gave a lot

When I first came to Cheryl for a consult about whether I was disabled, she was honest and direct with me about the issues in my case. She gave me a lot of good advice. I came back to her for my second application after a very bad experience with folks who told me what I wanted to hear - that I h...ad a winnable case. I lost that one but with Cheryl, I won. I wouldn't hire anyone else.

Thank you. I take pride in being very honest with my clients. Some don't like to hear that they are not likely to win their cases but most folks appreciate the truth!

Client

I never write reviews, but due to the incredible job Cheryl did for me, I wanted to write this. Cheryl was with me from the start with my SSDI claim. She helped me navigate the daunting process of filing my claim, appealing two denials and representing me in court. After two and a half years of worki...ng effortlessly, I won my case. Cheryl is incredibly supportive, patient and reliable. She was quick to respond to my questions and concerns and treated me with dignity and respect. I could also see that she is well respected within the law community. Cheryl is an outstanding attorney. I must add that Cheryl has a rare quality that stood out to me immediately upon first meeting her. She has a sincere and deep compassion for her clients. Even if I had not won my case, my opinion of Cheryl wouldn't have changed. I couldn't have chosen a better attorney to represent me.

Never again

I wish I'd met the C. C. you're all talking about when I consulted with her. Instead, after being interviewed by her assistant for a while, my experience was of her storming into the room, reading me the riot act based on a couple of misunderstandings, one on her part. In my vulnerable state, the las...t thing I expected or needed was that kind of unprofessional behavior. I wouldn't do business with her if she was the last lawyer in Oregon.

This description does not sound familiar. I do decline to represent about 50% of those who come to me asking that I represent them, for reasons that include dishonesty and active drug use. Sometimes those folks are unhappy with me because I won't represent them.

Great Work!

Ms. Coon and her staff stayed strong and followed-up on my case from start to finish. This was a complicated matter, with many life-long,threatening and permanent injuries. Ms. Coon and her staff (Erin Daniels) informed me of what I had rights to, what I needed to do to qualify, and made me feel s...o much better that this was to right route to take for all I had been through medically -- both military and civilian injuries/damages. Ms. Coon and her staff explained in detail what would be allowed by the Social Security rules. I can only thank them for all of the hard work, dedication, and hours put into my case, for myself and my family. As to the monetary aspect,, this firm was professional, explaining in detail the Retainer Agreement, fees, and out-of-pocket costs. I would not hesitate retain (if need be) or refer anyone to this firm. My thanks to Ms. Coon and her staff from my family and I.

Integrity - Competence - Compassion - Tenacious

I met with this attorney and her staff to evaluate if I should apply for social security disability benefits. I have never met one attorney, much less a whole office of attorneys and staff, who embody intelligence and integrity and competence and compassion as this one does. I know without a do...ubt that, if I'd decided to pursue the disability benefits, Ms. Coon and her folks would have fought hard and tenaciously on my behalf.
