Highly recommend!!!!
Christina was and continues to be dedicated to our case. Before christina, it felt like it was road block after road block to complete my divorce and gain custody of my children, California tends to favor the mother and my experience with family court had been a total nightmare, I took every workshop the "self help Center" had to offer and knew I was in way over my head. After my consultation with Christina she imediatly put my mind at ease. Her due deligence and attention to detail and genuine compassion was amazing. I am happy to say that thanks to christina, I have full custody of my kids and even after the fact she continues to check up on us. She truly cares and puts her all into her clients. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for her services. I would highly recommend christina Cortino to anyone who is in need of a family law attorney.

Helping to Right the Wrongs
Miss. Cortino is a refreshing look at both Law and Humanity. I found Miss Cortino after lawyer number four in my case. First lawyer was great, but like a fool I took my ex back and attempted to make it work. worse mistake of my life. She now practices criminal law and I would still recommend her. Her name is Lori Calvert. Next I had a attorney named Robert Kitay and the advise he gave me almost got me arrested. He was disciplined by the BAR for a unrelated issue. I then hired a third attorney who would not do anything I had to do it myself. So after great period of time I came to the conclusion I did not need her. After terrible results in court and having the other side removed during a Kennedy v Eldridge claim Mr. Bobby P Luna was recused in the matter for violation of conflict of interest we started getting somewhere. I then hired another attorney who did not even show to court fired her. went on my own again. after several months and a trial that was a joke I again hit road blocks. That is when a add was sent to me for Christina Cortino, I hired her and she has been by my side since, She saw all of the injustices and has help me fight even thru losses. She is always available and not like any other attorney I know. She genuinely cares about children's, and fathers rights. I refer her to anyone I meet needing Family Law assistance. as Miss. Cortino is not only a knowledgeable litigator and advocate. She is a true friend to a client. So when you have the melt down she is compassionate enough to let you get off your chest what you need to with out thinking any less of you. I can not even begin to tell you how horrible this case I am in has been. I will say that I wish I had been given her number by Mrs.Calvert. I wish anyone had told me her number. Because in the beginning when i was scared and alone she would have been the Sheppard in the night and brought me home. I know there are a lot of choices in Lawyers, but I am not sure if I could put a price on Christina that is fair. She brings faith to a profession that most feel are slimy and full of greed. If you need help and you care about your children and sanity, call no one else!

Help With Landlord Repair Issue
Ms. Cortino provided excellent services for an issue I had with my landlord. The AC in my apartment was broken for over a month and my landlord was giving me the runaround to avoid fixing the AC. Ms. Cortino informed me I had rights and remedies for getting the AC fixed and what the landlord was doing was unacceptable. Ms. Cortino contacted my landlord several times via email, letter, and over the phone, starting with trying to resolve the issue politely, and then increasingly firm because my landlord continued to drag their feet. Ms. Cortino also listened to my frustrations over the broken AC during the summer, and my concerns with damaging my relationship with my landlord. It took several communications, but Ms. Cortino continued to contact my landlord every time they put another hurdle in the way of getting the repair made. Thanks to Ms. Cortino's help, my landlord took action and replaced the broken AC. I know if I tried to deal with the situation myself my landlord would still be making excuses and dragging their feet.

Excellent family law lawyer
I hired Christina to represent me in enforcing court ordered alimony against my ex husband. She knew the law and was a very strong advocate for me in court at the hearing. She was able to help me attach my exs assets to pay for the support he was behind on. She explained everything to me from start to finish. I had another attorney at the beginning of my divorce and Christina was much more on top of my case and kept me in the loop. I am happy I hired her to help me.

No Air Condit in 100+ Weather
Back on 5/29/16, Memorial Day weekend, and our first weekend of 100 degree weather, I went to go turn on the A/C in our apartment/condo and realized it was not working. On 5/31 when the property management office opened back up, I entered a service request via their website. The company sent a HVAC company out to try and repair and they said that the unit needed to be replaced. I knew they were going to send over a bid but after a couple days, I received a call but not from my property management company but another HVAC company to check out the unit. Needless to say 3 weeks later and 10+ days of 100 degree weather and now FOUR bids from 4 different HVAC companies and we still had no news on whether the unit was going to be replaced. We knew we had some rights and that we were being more than generous giving them ample time but this was enough. We (my roommate and I) reached out to Christina and gave her all notes and details about how long, the times we were called (and not called - seriously worst property management company but that is another story), and any details. She called the property management company and gave them a nice heads up that we are not going to stand for it any longer and needless to say, we now have a scheduled installation of the new unit on Friday. I can tell you that she is amazing and got straight to the point. I know for a fact that we would not have this much progress if it was not for Christina and all her help. 5 stars is not enough.

Seemed great and then vanished
Hired her in early 2017, she told me everything I wanted to hear. I did not want to stir up child support or custody issues, I was just having trouble with step parent boundaries. She convinced me it was in my kids best interest to pursue child support, which she knew would rock an otherwise steady boat, but she assured me it would be worth it. As we found hurtle after hurtle, it became obvious we wouldn't get where she had thought we would, she stopped responding to my emails and never followed through on things she had agreed to. After multiple attempts to contact her and no reply, I had to find help elsewhere. Very disappointing and hurtful during such an emotionally distressing time. I wish I wouldn't have taken her advice in the first place. She was referred to me by a very good friend.

Dishonest
I hired Christina several years ago. I paid her a $3,000 retainer, and she repeatedly refused to provide any sort of accounting for her time. She claimed that she was not able to serve the defendant and told me that he must be "dodging" service. I knew this to not be true, as the defendant was ill at the time and didn't leave his house for weeks on end. There are also other ways to serve someone other than in person. She also refused to provide the name of the service company or any of the attempted dates or times of service. She also failed to file any paperwork with the court in a timely fashion, and when I asked for my money back, she told me that it was gone, and stopped responding to me. I never received a bill or any sort of accounting. She's the type of attorney that gives other attorneys a bad name.
