Jo-Anna Marie Nieves

Jo-Anna Nieves is a confident and assertive attorney who represents her clients with diligence and excellence.  Ms. Nieves has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for Northern California every year since 2016 and has previously been recognized as a Thirty Under 30 award recipient by Florida State University's Young Alumni Association.  She was recognized by the Law Firm 500 as the 12th fastest growing law firm in the United States in 2019 and awarded the honor of being named to the Seminole 100 by Florida State University in 2020 - this award is given to the fastest growing businesses in the world ran by FSU alumni.  

Ms. Nieves earned a B.S. in Finance and Multinational Business from Florida State University in 2005 and later earned her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Florida State University as well. She is a member of the State Bar of California and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California. 

Ms. Nieves is a member of the ACBA Board of Directors and the chair of the Judicial Appointments Evaluation Committee. She has coached mock trial students through the Centro Legal de la Raza's Youth Law Academy for four years and taught as a faculty member of the Stanford Law School Trial Advocacy Course since 2018
