Biography
C. Logan McKechnie was an ad junct professor at Merced College, teaching criminal law and evidence. He has taught at San Diego State, Thomas Jefferson School of Law and the National District Attorney's College. He formally practiced in San Diego where he served as an assistant to the San Diego District Attorney and was the attorney for the San Diego Padres while in private practice. He has tried several hundred jury trials, including more than 60 murder cases which included nine death penalty trials. He has served as the Athletic Commissioner for 10 community college sports programs in the Central Valley of California since 1994. He was on the State's Athletic Board for six years. As an attorney, he has served on the State Athletic Board's Constitution committee for the past 20 years and has been the Chairman of the State Athletic Commission's Disability Board for the California Community College Athletic Association for the past 20 years.. He lectures on the legal ramifications of the CCCAA's constitution and bylaws on a regular basis. He writes a book each year on coins and produces a regular newsletter about Morgan and Peace dollars.
