Biography
Mr. Young relishes the challenge of fighting for the underdog and winning difficult cases while getting excellent results for clients.
Born and raised in the bay area, Mr. Young went to college at UCLA. He returned to the bay area for law school with a keen interest in criminal law. Mr. Young was a certified law clerk at the San Francisco Public Defender's and Alameda County Public Defender's offices, before graduating and becoming a deputy public defender in Merced County. At the public defender's office, he learned the tools of the trade by being aggressive and winning motions and trials. At his conclusion of three years in Merced, he was awarded a trophy for outstanding advocacy. He assumed the practice of Judge Paul C. Lo, when he was appointed to the Merced Superior Court bench.
