Incorrect Legal Advice (IRS Collections)
I spoke with Michael last year regarding a CP2000 notice I had received. While he was professional and asked what seemed like the right questions, his ultimate advice was for me to visit a local IRS office. A year later, I engaged a different firm that clearly explained the proper process for hand...
Your review cannot be trusted. You left out many critical facts. First, your case involved multiple tax issues dating back several years. It did not simply involve underpayment. At the beginning of our call, I said to you in no uncertain terms what we can do and what we cannot do for your case and that you should seek another attorney for a second opinion and for the other issues that are outside the scope of our expertise. You said you understand. I proceeded to provide you with our analysis of the issues that we can handle and strategies and options to resolve those issues. I suggested three options and told you about the risks associated with each option. I also said that you ultimately will have to choose one of those options yourself and that I cannot choose one for you. You again said you understand. Apparently, you took a risk and chose the wrong option, and now you blame us for your own risk-taking. Second, you compounded your problem by not following my guidance last year to seek another attorney to help you further. Instead, you waited a year later to do what I suggested to you a year earlier, and again now you blame us for a delay caused by your own doing (or lack thereof). Just to refresh your memory, your tax problems were caused by what you did, what you did not do, and/or the circumstances in your life long before you ever contacted our law firm. Your tax issues were not caused by us in any way. We understand that tax issues can be stressful and that IRS procedures and processes are frustrating. However, that does not give you the right to use us as a punching bag. That is not only mean-spirited but also puerile. It appears your review is a reflection of your character.

Still waiting on what they actually do or help with
Still waiting on what they actually do or help with. Like literally waited two / three months for a reply.
Your review is fake. Not sure who you are trying to fool. Avvo does not provide our contact information. So, how did you contact us? If you contacted us through our website, you would have seen very clearly the areas of law we practice in. Avvo also lists those areas of law. Further, if you have emailed, called, or texted us, we would have responded within 24 hours (excluding weekends), as that is our policy. There are 1.33 million lawyers in the US, and you only wanted us? Seriously!?! And you waited "literally two/three months" to find out the information that is already on the Avvo website and our website? Really!?!

Picks and chooses when to help
I was assigned this attorney through a network benefit from my employer. I told them exactly what I needed and I was never properly matched. Another attorney was kind enough to correspond with the plaintiffs attorney but no one actually worked or assisted with my case. Michael doesn’t care, he didn’...
Anonymous, you are simply ranting because you did not get what you want. Further, you are omitting key facts. Here are the key facts. Your case was referred to our office in early September 2023. You did not contact us until a few days ago, over a month later. When you finally did, I responded to all your emails (and there were many) within hours, after reviewing and analyzing all your information. We did not charge you anything for the legal services, which we could have. At any rate, we are a busy law firm. As such, it is humanly impossible for us to accept every case that comes to us. So, we have to choose cases based on criteria that are crucial to our law practice. We do not handle cases that have been worked on by another attorney, regardless of the type of work the other attorney did on the case. Many other law firms have similar policies. Further, your case is not the first one we have declined for that same reason. Finally, in case you are not aware, you have the right to choose which attorney you want to work with. Similarly, we (like every other law firm) have the right to choose which case we want to work on. In your situation, you chose several other attorneys before contacting us. It turns out, as you stated to me, that none of them worked out. More importantly, you stated, "it seems I should have been matched with you from the start." So now, you are ranting and using me as a punching bag simply because you feel you got the wrong attorneys before contacting us. I am not sure how that relates to the quality of our legal services.

Rude communication style
Didn't actually read the email describing the case and wanted to set up an appointment weeks in the future with a rude and condescending manner. It turned out they actually don't handle these cases. Total waste of time. Needs to learn to listen.
Anonymous, thank you for your comment. As an initial matter, it is ironic that you mention "rude communication style" and "rude and condescending manner." Your own comment states, "Needs to learn to listen." Your comment is not rude? Not condescending? Not rude communication style? Equally important, your comment leaves out several crucial facts. Those facts actually show your lack of professionalism, your misrepresentation of the events, and your unjustified sense of entitlement. Here are those facts. First, you emailed me on May 8, 2023, at 6:23 (PST). The next day, May 9, I replied to your email requesting additional information so we can review it to determine whether or not we can help you. You ignored my email for nearly three months. Your communication style is not rude? Not unprofessional? Yet, despite your lack of professionalism, I still went ahead to propose a time to discuss your case with you. The proposed appointment was 12 days away, not "weeks" as you alleged. Second, nowhere in any of our communications to you did we say that we did not handle your type of legal matter. In fact, we do handle such matters, as stated clearly on our website. Not sure why you did not read it. Three, in your next to last email to me, on July 27, 2023, you asked me for a guarantee of success on your case and whether or not we were willing to take it on. I replied to you on the same day, stating that the law does not allow any lawyer to guarantee success on any case. I also informed you that given the circumstances, your matter is not a good fit for us. We suggested that you immediately contact another attorney to help you. Finally, we wished you all the best. You replied to me on the same day but not in kind words. Quite interestingly, almost immediately after you emailed me, you posted your comment on Avvo, just to get back at me for not taking on your case. Wow! Unjustified sense of entitlement?

Rude, condecending, accusatory
From Michael's initial first message I could sense the type of lawyer he was going to be.. but I went with it as he was covered under my insurance. The back and forth was cold and condescending. Our last correspondence ended pretty nasty. TLDR we had a miscommunication and he immediately jumped to a ...
Thank you Anonymous for your comment. Unfortunately, you left out several critical facts, and by omitting those facts, the reader cannot accurately assess the quality of our legal services. (1) My initial message to you was by text because I was not available to talk with you by phone. My text message asked you to email me so we can schedule a convenient time for us to talk. (2) You failed to tell the reader that you were trying to get your insurance to cover something that it does not. (3) When I informed you of the coverage issue, you responded with a condescending tone. (4) When I mentioned to you that I do not appreciate your tone, you responded by calling me a "twit" and used foul and vulgar language, which I will not repeat here. I did not respond to your insults and profanity because I was hoping you are a better person than your words.
