Jonah Chaplin Chew

Was in dire need of a lawyer for my case so I contacted the law offices of Jonah Chew. Without going into too much detail, I can say that Jonah displayed a level of unparalleled professionalism throughout this long, tiring ordeal. Mr Chew was non-judgmental but also personable and made me feel lik...e I could reach out to him whatever time of day. Despite his heavy caseload he made sure to take the time to make sure whatever needs or questions I had at the time were addressed and always feeling re-assured and in good hands. His communication, follow-ups, and depth of knowledge was simply amazing. Mr Chew is also extremely experienced with the court system and was able to leverage his rapport with the prosecutors, DAs, and judges to ensure I was getting the best outcome. It is unclear whether a lawyer without prior experience working in these specific court systems could've yielded a better outcome. I think the case could've easily gone south had I not gone through this ordeal with Mr Chew. I honestly had not expected this level of service given the pricing. Mr Chew went above and beyond his call of duty. I am extremely releived to have done the research when searching for representation. It does make a difference.

Jonah is a PHENOMENAL lawyer. Sometimes, good people find themselves in a tough situation. DUIs happen and when they do, they are costly, time-consuming and down-right scary as hell. My husband was charged with a second DUI involving an accident with two other motorists in SF. Luckily, no one... was hurt, but he was still facing felony charges (with jail time) for having a high BAC and committing a second offense while just being shy of completing the probation period from his first DUI. We called Jonah after reading rave reviews, and can 100% say that Jonah *is* the lawyer you're looking for. RESULTS: My husband's case was dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor. He spent three days doing SWAP and avoided any jail time. He was able to drive again, sooner than expected (with an IID.) My husband's employer never found out about his DUI because Jonah coordinated his monthly court dates with his days off. We are currently looking into reducing his probation requirements now that his DUI school has been completed. This is only possible if you hire a GREAT lawyer. HOW JONAH'S DIFFERENT: - he works *directly* with you and your case - he is *very* responsive (via phone, text and email) - he has a great personality - is honest and genuinely cares about you, and funny too - he knows to share just enough with you regarding your next court date to keep you calm and collected.... he will guide you throughout your process so you can try to live as normal of a life until your case is settled - his appearance is sharp, clean and he has the mental toughness you need to win in court - and more importantly, he is one of the most well-connected criminal defense lawyers in SF. He knows the judges, public defendants and the system very, very well. Ask any one of them and they will speak of him in high regard. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: - listen to what Jonah says and just do it. If you need to live in a residential treatment program to not only fix a problem that you may have, do it and go above and beyond. It'll be good for you personally, and the results of your case. - You will be shooting yourself in the foot if you pass on hiring Jonah. Whether it be your first, second or third DUI, Jonah knows his craft very well. Months after our case was finished, we happened to run into Jonah at a ballgame and he gave us two big hugs. (It was great seeing him outside of his suit.) If you can't already tell by all the reviews, he's practically Superman. Back in NY, we'd say he's "one, helluva guy." We are grateful for him. We don't write reviews, but created this account just so we can write one for Jonah. Hope this review helps someone who's on the fence.

Jonah Chew is a very knowledgeable and competent criminal attorney. He know the criminal justice extremely well and he has excellent relationships with the DA, the police and the judges. Jonah Chew will get you the best deal you can possibly get. In my case he persisted in pushing for a better de...al to the end and even managed to get my case dismissed. I recommend him highly without reservation.

After thoroughly researching attorneys and plenty of consultations, I ultimately hired Jonah Chew to represent me and I could not be happier with my decision. Jonah and his entire office were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me. I truly cannot recommend him high enough. He provided... exceptional service at an extremely reasonable rate. Despite constant opposition from both the DA and multiple judges for the better part of two years, he never relented and was ultimately successful in preventing me years of unjustified grief. If you've been wrongly accused, and As long as your truthful and honest with Jonah in regards to the facts and don't BS him, there's no way your going to lose with this guy in your corner. If we would've proceeded to court, Jonah was more than prepared to go to battle for me! He was loaded and ready to destroy this case! Jonah is a good man and I highly recommend him if you need a great criminal defense attorney!
