God forbid I ever need a Crim Def Attorney, Brian will be my go to for life.

Brain took on my case where my slimey ex-partner was trying to frame me for a Ponzi Scheme. The opposing counsel who was not nearly as astute as Brian desperately tried to pin her clients wrong-doing on me. Brian could have complicated my case and made it much more expensive and litigious for me ...but he always had my best interest at heart. His advice and counsel were paramount in me not being dragged into someone else's nightmare. Beyond the sound legal advice, he more than once talked me off a ledge, so to speak. I feel the outcome would have been different had he not gone that extra mile. One additional thing that stands out is after our initial consultation (which went way over an hour), he never pressured me to hire him. On the contrary, when I finally decided to retain him, there was another multi-hour consult where he patiently explained my options to my family. I have given permission to Brian to use me as a reference for anyone else who is in a similar situation.

An Intelligent and Compassionate Attorney...highly recommend

Right from the beginning of my son’s case and throughout the 20 months until it reached conclusion, I was very impressed with the level of care and concern shown to us by Mr. Gurwitz. We never expected to be in a position requiring legal counsel and had no idea what to expect, but Brian was very kno...wledgeable, straightforward and most importantly compassionate towards my son as well as myself during this difficult time. All calls and emails were promptly addressed; he carefully explained to us how the juvenile court system worked; and never once did we feel alone or unsure of what was transpiring in the case. Due to his efforts and guidance my son has a clean record and a chance for a productive life free of any stigma. Brian Gurwitz is a man of impeccable character and I would highly recommend him without hesitation.

Defendent

You only get one chance to get it right when you are in legal trouble. When you are in jail you are not earning a living, having quality time with your loved ones and your life is constantly in danger. This is not the time to scrimp on your attorney. The old saying you get what you pay for is neve...r more true than when hiring legal council. You cheap out on a haircut it will grow back, you hire a discount CPA and they might miss a deduction. You hire the wrong attorney and your life is OVER. Brian Gurwitz is the right attorney. He is in my qualified opinion the best lawyer in all of Orange County. He came highly recommended from a well know attorney in LA County. If you or someone you love is in legal trouble right now hire Brian. He treats you like a human being, not just some client that he is trying to run you through the system. He has been a prosecutor as well as a defense attorney, so he knows both sides of the law. Every one of my family and friends that spoke with him felt so very confident that he would put forth every effort to settle a very dangerous time in my life to the best possible outcome. They felt he was above and beyond your average attorney. They felt confident and reassured. They expected an even better outcome than I did. You just can't understand until it is your life on the line. None of your friends or family will quite understand how devastating facing a jail or prison sentence can be. Everyone tells you to think positive and all you can think of is the worse outcome. Let me tell you, you do not want to be in jail. It is an insane asylum in there. It is never quite, it is never dark, sleeping is near impossible, The food is terrible. Your cellmate might be mentally unstable or dangerous. To be locked inside a concrete box measuring 10 feet by 7 feet and sometimes you don't get your 1 hour of dayroom for 3 days. That means no showers. People threaten you and demand your food. Some of the deputies can be sadistic. It is degrading and inhumane. Sexual assaults are possible. Sometimes inmates will scream for hours at night and kick their cell doors. People go to the bathroom two feet away from where you sleep. Inmates bleed and you have no idea if they are HIV positive or have hepatis. Many inmates are on psych drugs. Brian Gurwitz was able to reduce my bail by 80%, that simply doesn't happen very often, there was a potential for 20 years in prison and I got no jail time and probation. That blew me away. That is what the best can do. I screwed up and it was my fault, but I got a second chance. And I will earn this second chance and never do anything wrong again. I get to be with my wife and go back to work and rebuild the damage I caused. I would not have this chance without Brian. America imprisons the highest percentage of it's population. 724 for each 100,000 people. Russia is second at 581 per 100,000. I have always been a pro police tough on crime type of thinker and believe me, some of the people I saw in jail, well you want them to stay there for your safety and your family's safety, but the system thrives on quantity. You have to have the best legal council you can get to avoid being swept away by the system. There were some dark days and I did not think I would make it, but I am grateful I did not act on any of my despair. Brian is a great guy and an even better attorney. I told him I wish I could have know him in different circumstances. He is a guy that you would like to have as a friend. I owe him my life, literally. He always took my call or called me right back, even at odd hours and weekends. You never know when they will allow you to use the phone. He was great with my family and I could not have asked for a better guy representing me. So hire Brian Gurwitz and when things get settled make sure you never end up in this type of situation again. Evaluate your life and make some big changes. Brian will do his best for you so earn it!!

The Best Criminal Defense Lawyer

I recently got involved in some trouble with the law I asked around for a really good defense lawyer that knows his law and criminal and 10 people recommended Brian to me. The best decision I ever made was to hire Brian to represent me from day one he heard my side of story he treated me like famil...y and never judge me he was by my side from day one until the end If you got yourself in trouble and need someone to be by your side and knows the law and will get you through this difficult time I recommend Brian 110% Thanks to him I can leave a normal life

Honest, Kind, Expert Defense Attorney, Always Available

Wow, where do I start? Can I really add to the title of this comment? My son was charged with two felonies with enhancement in 2014. This was actually an act of self defense but the O.C. District Attorney's office, will do anything to win a case, at all costs. Beware!! We immediately hired a c...riminal defense attorney from Beverly Hills but were not pleased with the result and the perpetual continuance of the case. 18 months passed and the D.A. in their effort to 'win', was taking the case to trial. I was desperate! How could this be happening?! **On a side note, I am an event producer in O.C., and in 2016 I did an event for a local group of defense attorneys, 200 of them**. I shared my frustration with the president of the group, she recommended I contact Brian Gurwitz right away. She said; "If I was ever be in trouble, I would call Brian". She gave me his cell phone number and I texted him. To my surprise, he responded right back! We met with Brian and he was not your regular high and mighty lawyer, he seemed humble, warm, caring and very very knowledgeable. We retained him the next day. We worked with Brian three months, because that is all it took him! Three months to resolve the problem that was changing my son's life. Brian met with us multiple times, always called and emailed with updates. He answered every text message in a personal and kind manner, explaining everything thoroughly. I am a mom you know.... He also recommend a very good investigator, to find out the facts of the case. Brilliant move. Brian appeared in court several times with my son. Always Brian, not an intern or an inexperience lawyer. He was savvy, bold, and new the ropes well. He challenged the O.C. District Attorney in their game, and the felony case was dropped to a misdemeanor. Brian Gurwitz, is not cheap, but, when you are in trouble, you don't want cheap, you want awesome!! At the end of the day, he does NOT nickel and dime you to death. For a flat fee, he will take you to pre-trial, he is totally worth it! I thank Brian Gurwitz, so kindly and with all my heart. I admire professionals that are EXCELLENT in their field. I admire people that have a HEART as they do business. I admire people that have work ETHIC and are HONEST and AMAZING at what they do! If you are looking for criminal defense, do yourself a favor and hire Brian right away, don't waste time or money going elsewhere. You will not be disappointed!!

"I've had the privilege to know Brian Gurwitz for more than 12 years both personally and professionally. I've read the other endorsements posted by those who know him within the legal community and couldn't agree more with the accolades he has received concerning his legal acumen and courtroom abilities. I would however like to mention something else about Brian that I feel is equally important to those in the process of selecting an attorney to defend them in a criminal matter. What is so very special about Brian is that he is a wonderful human being. He is caring, extremely bright and works tirelessly to obtain the best results for his clients. I am able to see how deeply he cares for his clients, how he often he makes himself available to discuss their concerns day and night, and how committed he is to assisting clients both in and out of the courtroom.
