The best decision I've ever made was to seek the help of Catherine Schwartz.
After trying to handle this myself and studying Family code, in mediation I felt railroaded and alone. My case involved a restraining order, in which Has ripped my son and I from each others lives. Almost a decade ago I retained Catherine Shwartz for a criminal matter with awesome results. It was...

Catherine clearly cares about family, how important a marriage should be, any problems that may arise in the divorce process, and emotional and physical abuse surrounding a bad divorce. The team in her office personally identifies with your feelings and disappointments that may arise and much more. ...

Very disappointing
I hired Mrs. Schwartz for a restraining order matter I gave my retainer of $4000 and I was passed from partner to partner in the office the paralegal was very nice and answered my questions however every single time we went to court my case was continued even though I was prepared to move forward eve...
This client was not "passed around" and actually had two attorneys (including Ms. Schwartz) working on her matter at the same time (and we only charged her for one attorney's services). Without revealing too many details due to Attorney Client privilege, our office was ready and prepared to represent this client at the first hearing, however Opposing Counsel wanted a continuance, which the client agreed to. The second continuance was done in order to protect the client's best interest, which was explained to her on multiple occasions (again, I cannot discuss the specific details, but appearing at the second hearing date may have damaged the client's case and interests). The hearing was not continued a third time while we were Attorney of Record. Interestingly enough, this client contacted our office months later looking to intern for us. If she was so unhappy and disappointed with us, why would she contact us to seek employment with our office?
"I’ve worked with Ms. Schwartz at the opposite end of counsel table for nearly six years . . . she’s a great attorney. Ms. Schwartz’s legal knowledge, modesty, and charm, coupled with her power of persuasion afford her the ability to connect with judges and juries alike. I have personally seen Ms. Schwartz win cases that others thought were unwinnable; I’ve heard jurors speak about her no-nonsense approach to the law and proving the elements in favor of her case; and I’ve talked with judges who gave glowing reviews of her presentation of evidence and closing arguments. If ever I need the assistance of a criminal defense attorney, I would call Ms. Schwartz first without a doubt."
"I have had the pleasure of working with Cathy inside and outside of court. In all instances I have been impressed by her knowledge, professionalism, and expertise. She is a skilled litigator and astute advocate. She is extremely diligent, hard-working and committed; capable of tackling any issue and opposing counsel. In addition, she is a kind, warmhearted individual who truly cares about her clients and is willing to go the extra mile for them. Cathy’s staff is also deserving of praise. They are talented and professional, each with significant experience and wholly devoted to their clients and work. Cathy and her entire staff are an impressive group that any client would be fortunate to have on their side."
"I endorse Catherine. Her approach to resolving a case was very no-nonsense and very compassionate. Yet her compassion did not cloud her judgment about the law."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Schwartz was a supervisor while I was at the Riverside County Public Defender's Office. This attorney brings passion in her representation of individuals accused of crimes."
"I endorse this lawyer. I make this endorsement because she is committed to your clients and her profession."
"I endorse this lawyer. Catherine is a well respected attorney in the community, straight forward and ethical."
"Attorney Schwartz spends a lot of time responding to questions posted on this website with informative and considerate answers which reflect a high degree of knowledge and expertise. She shows compassion and a willingness to help clients during difficult times. I endorse this lawyer."
