My firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters with an emphasis in employment litigation, personal injury litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The majority of my cases involve claims of wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, hostile work environment, sexual harassment and wage and hour claims including unpaid wages, unpaid overtime, rest break and meal period violations, failure to timely pay all wages and more. I also represent business, individuals and employers with regard to regulatory and licensing matters, complaince, training, and workplace investigations. I am also available to employers to assist with document preparation and review needs, representation in administrative matters, collections, and for their litigation needs.
My past experience includes representing hundreds of aggrieved employees and injury victims who have suffered serious bodily injuries, sexual molestation, elder abuse, product injuries and more. I have represented businesses and individuals in claims involving, breach of contract, defamation, negligence, fraud, insurance coverage issues, construction issues and in licensing matters. I have considerable experience in matters involving professional malpractice including claims against doctors, hospitals, dentists, financial advisors, design professionals, accountants and others who hold professional licenses and have defended many of the same.
I also serve as both a private Mediator and Arbitrator. I am currently on the approved panel of mediators and arbitrators of the San Diego Superior Court, Keybridge Foundation, a mediation provider to the U.S. Department of Justice, FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, formerly N.A.S.D.) I offer mediationand arbitration services privately to assist disputing parties resolve their issues quickly and in the most cost effective manner. My wide range of experience lends itself well to serving as a neutral in a wide range of disputes and I have a very high success rate in bringing closure to litigants or disputing parties.
Mr. Gould graduated from San Diego State University in 1984 and California Western School of Law in 1987. While at California Western, Mr. Gould served as a Staff writer and Notes and Comments Editor for the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal. Mr. Gould was also active in the school’s Moot Court Competition and served as a mentor to younger students. Mr. Gould continues to offer his time to mentor those pursuing the legal field and strives to provide access where possible to assist those who are financially challenged.
When not engaged in the practice of law Mr. Gould enjoys outdoor activities including cycling, sailling, hiking and spending "quality time" with the family.
