Renowned for his dedication and legal skills, Don remains active in his community, volunteering for veteran support programs and serving as a judge in mock trial competitions. Now retired, he offers his extensive legal counsel to those in need, continuing to make a positive impact through his work.

Experienced, Elite Military Lawyer
Don is a tremendous lawyer. My spouse and I hired him to assist my spouse in a Navy disciplinary proceeding and he and his team fought like hell for us, resulting in a complete victory over, and dismissal of, a bogus charge that an overly aggressive Navy lawyer just wouldn’t let go. Don’s wisdom and ...
Thank you for the kind words, B. It was such an honor getting to know you and your spouse, and to fight beside you both through this crazy, unfair process. You both are such high-quality Americans who give back so much to your friends and fields. Your case was a stark example of the bureaucratic and uncaring process that is military “justice.” Poor leaders with no accountability making poor decisions out of self-preservation that ruin others' lives — I’m sorry you both had to experience that. But I’m grateful that you kept fighting! It shows that military members CAN win if they refuse to give up or give in. All of us here at KML know what fighting this battle cost you both in terms of time, reputation, and opportunity, and we’re glad you finally achieved the complete exoneration you deserved from the beginning. Thanks also for expressing your appreciation for Holly. All of our paralegals here are exceptional and treat every client like family, but they don’t often get the appreciation they deserve. All the best to you both as you put this all behind you and continue to do so much good in the world. Stay in touch! Don and the KML Team

Military physician defense
Don and his team are amazing. I am an active duty doctor who was charged following an allegation of failing a military random urine drug screen. I hired Don to represent me at both NJP and a Board of Inquiry. He is an absolute expert at all level of military law. My case was complex as it also includ...
Hey Doc! Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences with KML. While I’m so disappointed in the Navy that you needed our services, I’m so glad you chose us to fight this battle with you. I’ve been doing this a long time, and I've rarely seen such poor leadership decisions as in your case. This legal issue should never have existed and was purely the result of poor, self-preservation-focused decision-making. No reasonable person would have ever placed a man, a naval officer, and a physician of your quality in a defensive position. I’m sorry you had to fight so hard to win a battle that should never have existed. But I’m glad it’s behind you, freeing you up to continue the massive contributions you make to women’s health and to our Navy families. The Navy doesn’t have enough care providers like you (and, after your treatment by the Navy, we need not wonder why), and I know I join your patients, nurses, and Corpsmen when I say how happy they all are that you succeeded in your fight. And thanks for calling out the paralegals. Kasheta, Holly, and Angela are all retired military members who’ve dedicated themselves to fighting for fairness for our clients. Thanks for recognizing their impact. From all of us here at KML, our very best to you and your family, Doc, as you continue to do great things, in whatever capacity! Don and the KML Team

Amazing Service
I had the pleasure to work with Mr.King, Mrs Holly, and their team. They provided amazing assistance! Always were giving me updates and making sure I was doing all good during the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking legal assistance
Hey B, thanks for taking the time to post a review. It was such an honor to represent you through that process! After your command and the Commanding General all made the wrong decisions, we finally prevailed at the three-star level. Just goes to show you how important tenacity and grit are in these types of battles. So glad you hung in there and let us fight and even happier that you eventually won! Best of luck to you ion the future and please give us a call if you ever need help again. Don, Holly, and the KML Team

10/10 Experience
I would absolutely recommend Mr. Kings representation to anyone being accused of a crime in the Military. His experience is second to none and his knowledge of the military legal process is very impressive. Personally, my command was not on my side through any steps of the process but KML had my back...
Thank you for your review, "Anonymous." I recognize who you are, and I appreciate that you chose our firm to represent you during this stressful process. The entire KML team is pleased to see that you won—you absolutely deserved that victory. It is unacceptable when commands forget that loyalty must flow both ways and that allegations are not truth. It's disappointing to witness commands overlook this fundamental principle. All too often, commands or investigative agencies such as NCIS, CID, AFOSI, or CGIS gather only enough information to support a presumption of guilt, which ultimately influences their decision to charge you. At KML, we don't let this happen. From the start, we conduct our own investigation and collect evidence that SUPPORTS our clients. We then may present this compelling information to the prosecution or command before they make a decision, ensuring they have the complete picture—not just the narrow view provided by NCIS. This approach can, and does, make a significant difference for our client, as it did for you. We are thrilled to see you back on track! Wishing you continued success in your career, and I encourage you to stay in touch! Best, Don and the KML Team

When Your Career Is on the Line, Choose the Best
As a senior enlisted service member (E-7) with over 18 years of naval service, I recently faced one of the most difficult and stressful periods of my career, an administrative discharge proceeding due to disciplinary action. Having never been in any kind of legal trouble before, the pressure and unce...
Hey Chief! Thanks so much for your kind review. It was such an honor getting to know you. We can’t tell you how much all of us here at KML appreciate you trusting us to do battle for you. And battle is precisely what this was. The Navy threw everything it had at you, and you still prevailed--such a testament to your stellar career and your dedication to your Sailors and your command. Thank you also for the shout-out to Angela! Greatly appreciate that! All of the paralegals here are exceptional professionals who care for our clients as if they were family. They work aggressively and for long hours on their behalf, but often go unrecognized. Thank you so much for recognizing Angela’s efforts! And thanks also for mentioning the emotional toll this can take — that will help others be aware and prepare, and to know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Again, congratulations on a win you so richly deserved! And thanks for taking the time to share your experience with others. Stay in touch, and please let us know if there is ever anything more we can do for you. Don, Angela, and the KML Team
