Innocence Prevailed!

I’m a LDO Commander with 30 years and was found guilty at NJP for Article 92 and my innocence was ignored by my Chain of Command. King Military Law did a spectacular job with my case and at my Board of Inquiry I was found not guilty of any misconduct (3-0). This is truly a top-notch law firm that c...an handle the most complex cases! Thank you, thank you- King Military Law!

Innocence certainly did, L.H.! And representing you through this long and grueling process was such an incredible honor. Your fierce determination to right this wrong and clear your name was most impressive. Many don't have the energy or will to stay strong in the face of such a brutal onslaught of unreasonable actions, but you never wavered. As a retired military officer, I'm ashamed of how the lack of transparency and sloppy investigations caused your command to treat you this way after such a long and distinguished service career. The reader should know your record is stellar, including being the Navy's "first" in several aspects. You deserved that complete win and deserved to go on to that C.O. job that we all know you will be so good at! Thanks again for letting us fight beside you, L.H.! You'll always be one of our most impressive and favorite clients! Keep blazing that trail and caring about Sailors like you always have! The Navy needs you. Don and the KML team.

A bright future because of Don and KML!

I have nothing but the greatest things to say about Don King and King Military Law! Don and his team stood by my side for nearly 2 years and I consider him more than an attorney but a father. We met when I had no where to go and my initial introduction with Don was nothing short of amazing. He li...stened to my story, gathered all the evidence and came up with an excellent plan. The allegations against me were untruthful and Don expertly negotiated a deal that went all the way up to the Secretary of the Navy and allowed me to keep all of my benefits and an honorable discharge! Don was working the phones day and night from day 1. He ensured that I was treated fairly throughout this whole process. Don is well-connected and knows how to navigate the complex system where things move so slowly. He would constantly call me to check on my well being as this process wore on not only myself but my whole family. Dons staff are some of the most kind and genuine people you will meet as well. Kasheta, and Angela are so organized and I called them at least 5 times a week with questions. Kasheta constantly put my mind to rest and my fears aside. She helped me focus my worry and attentions elsewhere. If you're reading this, you're probably feeling the same stress I was when I was trying to find a lawyer to help me. Trust me--call Don! You won't be sorry. Thank you to attorney Don King and all of King Military Law for their hard work and getting me out of the Navy with a bright future! Don truly is the best and has surrounded himself with the best and you will truly be in good hands!

Thanks, Sid! All of us here at KML really appreciate your kind words. And we're all so happy that everything worked out in your favor. You're unique set of circumstances really required that all of us here at KML put our collective experience to work to find a way to get you what you wanted. It seemed that once we resolved one issue, the Navy would raise another. Wow! But it all worked out and we're so happy that you received the Honorable discharge you deserved and that your life after the Navy is looking so promising. Hello to your kind parents, take good care of them and yourself, and stay in touch! (And, stop it--I'm not old enough to be your dad. (wink)). Don and the KML team

My Career Would Have Ended If It Wasn't For Don.

The option my Commanding Officer gave to prosecutors was for me to take a deal that included getting busted down in rank and force retiring at just over 23 years of dedicated, and stellar service, or to go to court martial and potentially lose everything with potential time in the brig. Thankfully, ...I had a ton of input from close friends and colleges telling me that the level of punishment that my CO was seeking was unjustified and I needed to fight to keep my rank and to continue my career. My good friend told me about Don and how he had served in the Navy as a Defense Attorney/Judge and how incredible his presence was in the courtroom. After a free consultation with Don to go over my case details, I knew in my heart that I was going to fight and Don would be the one to represent me. Don was there for my family and I from the start. When my day for court martial finally came I was completely blown away with how Don performed. How my friend had described Don in the courtroom didn’t even come close to the level that this man performs at. At the end of the day I didn’t lose my rank or get time in confinement but the judge did say he had to awarded a small fine and then told me to get back out there and continue to lead Sailors. Don saved my career and all the hard work my wife and kids have dedicated over the years to get me to this point. Don will be the only attorney that I will ever recommend to any military personnel that need help in the future if they end up with a military legal problem. He is a life and career saver who dedicates 100 percent to his clients.

Thanks for your kind words, Larry. All of us here at KML appreciate you taking the time to tell your story. We all also very much appreciate you trusting us with a matter so important to you and your family. As you've discovered, the system is only as fair as the people who make the decisions and, when you find yourselves in the crosshairs of someone with a different sense of "fair," you can either accept their decisions or fight them. After such a loyal and stellar career, we're very glad you decided to fight back! Thanks also for the endorsement, but you you wife, and the senior Sailors who came to your defense are the real reason you received such a great outcome. I echo the Judge in thanking you for your years of dedication and encouraging you to get back out there and keep doing what you have always done best. Congratulations, thanks again, and please stay in touch!

Great Service - Wonderful People

We contacted King Military Law for help with my son's issue. They informed us at each step about what was happening and what to expect. They reassured him about what was happening and kept constant communication with him. They are very helpful during a stressful time, and I recommend their services!

We appreciate your recommendation and it was an honor assisting your son. Glad everything turned out well for him and we look forward to tracking his success! All of us at KML are retired military members and some of us are also spouses and/or parents of current military members. So we know how stressful it can be when a loved one is caught up in the military legal system--it's unfamiliar, confusing, and often seems unfair. We know that a lot of that stress can be eliminated by simply keeping clients and family members informed and updated. And so we work hard to do that. We're glad those efforts made a difference for you and thanks again for taking the time to say so!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
