After being hit by a bus while walking down the sidewalk, I called Christopher for some advice as to how to proceed. It was clear within the first 5 minutes of conversation that his top priority was to make sure I received the best medical treatment possible, quickly, and that I was able to get back... to work as soon as possible (I'm self employed). To be honest, at first, I was skeptical and thought he was just speaking typical lawyer talk. Not so! We worked together for the next 20 months and my health and well being remained his top priority. Throughout the process, he always took the time to explain everything clearly, keep me informed and even took time to speak to my spouse if he had questions about anything. The insurance company representing the bus company was disorganized and often unresponsive; my case got passed around to three or four different adjusters and at least one of those adjusters was extremely rude and unreasonable. Chris Walton was SO attentive to details , listened to me and addressed every point clearly taking the time to explain things step by step. He knew his stuff communicated clearly. It felt as if he fought for me as if I was his own family. Chris also caught things that the other attorneys had overl...ooked. He was strong yet calm when in depositions and mediations I felt so confident with him on my side. I also felt he had great compassion for what I was going through. i did not have high views of attorneys. but after dealing with Chris that all changed. this is why. i was involved in a auto accident in southern California. i was rear ended on the highway. i was in California for a short time before moving. my case was referred to Chris because i lived on the ea...st coast and the case was being handled on the west coast. the lawyers i had handling my case before Chris, treated me like a number and a pay check. so by the time Chris got involved with the case there was a lot of mess ups to try and fix the best Chris could. when i first talked to Chris on the phone to discussed how to proceed with the case, he stated that if i use him as my attorney in this case he will be dedicated to me and my case. after talking on the phone for over an hour i got the sense he was sincere about looking out for my best interests in dealing with this case.so i decided to have Chris handle my case. there is a three hour differences in time zones but that didn't matter to Chris. he was always available to discussed the case. i always spoke directly to Chris when calling him at his office or on his cell. the care and attention Chris showed me as i dealt with the legal and emotional issues in the case changed my view of lawyers. it felt as tho Chris was a friend of mine just helping me through the legal system.
