David Vincent Hiden

David was referred to me, by another lawyer that practices in a different field. From my first call with David, I could immediately tell that was very well-versed and experienced in his practice. He made himself immediately available to help me, even giving me his cell phone number. From our first... call, he sought to clearly understand the details of my issue. I initially wanted to take a different route, but David calmly explained the pros on cons of the different options that were available to me. Knowing that much detail of these options, can really only come from a tremendous amount of experience that can't be faked. It is so difficult to find the right people, and I feel I got really lucky finding David for my legal needs. June 2019, I was with my family on vacation, when we received the worst news of our life (1) We needed to go to court for an unknown reason; (2) our lawyer backed out of a case that we thought had been settled; (3) We found out that she refused to tell us about a settlement, (4) leaving us with thous...ands of dollars in court costs. Why? Our neighbor was embarrassed at City Hall after we had successfully ended a dog noise complaint - so he kept filing complaints. Our former lawyer turned our Cease and Desist into a SLAPP motion, which removes a person's right to the 5th Amendment. In 9 months of being our lawyer, she refused to meet face-to-face. In court, she did not know who I was until we stood next to each other before the judge. She immediately dismissed herself in court and walked out, leaving me standing in front of the opposing lawyer and judge - wondering, "What just happened?" In the weeks following, we lost a lot of sleep trying to find someone who would be able to stop the accumulating fines and charges. We had spoken with at least 15 lawyers. Most knew about the reputation of our lawyer. All sympathized, but refused, once they asked about the opposing law firm. It was a local Criminal Law firm and the attorney is a friend of our neighbor. All this and we had ultimately done nothing wrong. We finally got in touch with David Hiden, who (although being an Injury Lawyer) decided to take on our case. He said, "I just hate seeing good people get screwed by bad lawyers." David was able to make a settlement with the opposition and filed against our former lawyer, making her pay for most of the costs. I wish I could give the "fairy tale" ending and state that we paid nothing and that our former lawyer lost her license (but that wouldn't be real life, when it comes to lawyers). We did, however, end up paying only a fraction of what it could have been. David, quite literally, saved us from bankruptcy. In the end, we saw what pride and anger can do (from both neighbors and lawyers). We learned that court is no joke and feared for good reason. We have absolutely no intention on ever calling a lawyer again . . . but if we do, we found ONE with the absolute backbone and character to represent us. David: you have a client for life. I needed to find an effective, experienced and intelligent attorney... a professional that has years of knowledge of the WC system, who is tough, well connected with his colleagues and respected in the legal communities within the courts and justice system. When I met David Hiden for the first tim...e during my initial consultation at the firm during my intake, I was impressed by how easy it was to talk and converse with him along with his calming demeanor. David was easy to understand when he explained the process and he possessed a clear and concise communication style. When I had questions, he didn't interrupt, he listened and patiently conveyed back explaining in a way I could easily understand the meaning and purpose. With no arrogance. I was very fortunate to be given his personal cell phone, so we could communicate via text or voice when we needed to check in or report on status. After 7 long years, We had the last piece of documentation needed for the case and David moved forward to propose pressure to the defense for us to move forward to trial or settle. I can ecstatically report, including being pleasantly surprised by the result of the entirety of all my claims was a total success. The award amount was worth the long wait. I owe this victory all to David. Without his professionalism, respect from his peers and gift of persuasion, the results would have been a lot different.

Mr. Hiden took on my case for me at the last minute. He was a take charge kind of lawyer and did not require me constantly following up to see if he did what he said he was going to do. He took action, followed through, and negotiations with the other party were handled professionally, assertively ...and ended with very fair results.
