Biography
In 1982, Fernando D. Vargas graduated from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where he majored in Political Science and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Fernando Vargas attended McGeorge School of Law, at the University of the Pacific and distinguished himself amongst his law school peers by earning a position on the International Moot Court Competition Team. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1986 and obtained his license to practice law in 1987.
Attorney Vargas began his law career in 1987 with a prominent insurance defense firm in Los Angeles where he litigated defense matters on behalf of insurance companies in all sorts of cases involving death, catastrophic and other personal injuries caused by incidents of medical malpractice, government tort liability, premises liability, and motor vehicles including motorcycles, semi-trucks, pedestrians, bicycles, and buses.
In 1995, Attorney Vargas founded the Law Offices of Fernando D. Vargas, a highly successful boutique, plaintiff personal injury law firm, which has been providing legal representation with personal attention to clients that have suffered death, catastrophic, and other personal injuries in the same types of accidents that he previously defended the insurance companies.
Attorney Vargas’s passionate and disciplined work ethic has earned him a current rating of "Superb" with Avvo and “Preeminent” with Martindale Hubbell/. In the year 2013, attorney Vargas received an award for Top Lawyers in California from American Lawyer Media for Peer Recognition for Highest in Ethical Standards and Professional Excellence; an award for Top Lawyers from the Latino American Who's Who; an award for Client’s Choice from Avvo; and an award for Client Distinction from Martindale-Hubbell/.
