William Peter Daley

Went to jail for felony DUI charges. Based on the prompting of my retired SR Probation Officer sister, I contacted Mr. Daley. Our initial meeting was in the jail. My first impression was that Mr. Daley was very relaxed. Not the stereotypical tight tie wearing attorney. After asking a series of... questions, we discussed the potential outcome of my case. Mr. Daley was fairly straightforward and cited the worst-case scenario. He also presented what he felt he could do for me, which was significantly more lenient. With increased hope I decided to retain Mr. Daley as my counsel. At the arraignment we talked a little before going in front of the judge. Mr. Daley came across confident that he could reduce my $100,000 bail to $25,000 or lower. I was extremely satisfied that he was able to obtain OR. Upon release, Mr. Daley counseled me to attend AA Meetings and enroll in the DUI program prior to my court appearance. He also strongly recommended that I set up appointments with a substance abuse counselor. His success at the arraignment gave me high hopes that this regimen would deliver me a less severe sentence. The preliminary hearing came nearly 3 months after being charged. Mr. Daley met me outside the courtroom with an air of confidence. What happened after that was nothing short of a miracle. I walked out with sentenced only to the 3-month DUI program. No further AA, no MADD, no community service. Charges were reduced to a misdemeanor. William Daley is an exceptional attorney. His knowledge, his courtroom presence, and his relationships are worthy of retention. But what sticks out most is that he’s so laid back, I had a genuine confidence that I was in good hands. If you’re in need of a great defense, get William Daley. You’ll hear the worst, but you can expect something much better!

I can't say it any better than by completely agreeing with a previous review's comment, "This guy IS a savior." I was being charged with a 2nd and 3rd DUI when I chose to hire Mr. William Daley as my attorney. I wish had known about him sooner, when I had my prior DUI cases. I trusted his a...dvice, and looking back, his service was priceless. I have NEVER dealt with a more professional and adept, and all around righteous lawyer. I did talk with a couple of other Yelp and Avvo Advertised lawyers, but It was obvious when I first met Mr. Daley that he had some REAL life experience contributing to his success. He always dealt with everything in a calm, focused and direct manner, no bullshit. I saw first hand the rapport he builds with other people - including the Judges and Prosecutors. He was even able to bring a little levity into the courtroom, getting the judge to laugh. In short, Mr. Daley saved my life, he went above and beyond the call of duty and it's an awesome feeling to have someone like that in your corner. He saved my job, and even though his fees are higher than some of the other Avvo and Yelp lawyers, I would recommend Mr. Daley in a heartbeat!!

I can honestly say that Mr.Daley is THE number ONE DUI attorney in San Diego! I was charged with my 4th DUI, which is mandatory jail/prison time. I am NOT going to jail AND I am also able to keep my job! He has literally saved my life!!! When I received my DUI I was scared, stressed and had no idea how to deal with any of the legal processes. This was my second DUI and I was facing serious penalties; I had to wear a SCRAM bracelet, do the 18 month DUI program, had 10 days of picking up trash on the freeway and was looking at 4 days i...n jail. Because the penalties were more serious I decided to get legal help in order to receive the best outcome possible with my case. I did a lot of research on multiple websites and I even had a meeting with a different lawyer (Mr. DUI, who in my opinion takes advantage of people who are in distress and emotional). I did not feel comfortable with anyone until I spoke to Mr. Daley. The second I got off the phone with him I knew I was going to be alright and I felt relieved for the first time since my whole nightmare had started. Mr. Daley was very upfront about the possible outcomes of my case and he never promised me anything that he knew he could not deliver. He was always available to answer any of my questions, day or night or weekends, and made me feel like my case was important. In the end I still had to take part in the 18 month program and wear the SCRAM bracelet but Mr. Daley was able to reduce the 10 days of highway trash to 36 hours of community service and he convinced the judge to allow me to do 4 days of house arrest instead of actual jail time, which saved me from possibly losing my job. He was able to get me all of the outcomes he had stated, outcomes I know I never would have gotten on my own or with a public defender. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Daley! If you need one of the most experienced and reputable lawyers in San Diego I highly recommend that you please pick up the phone and talk to Mr. Daley, you will not regret it.
