I was extremely concerned with my DUI ticket once I received a DUI for sleeping in my car with running engine. Also, my BAC was very high between .14% - .16%. After an incident back in March 2019, I tried to search all over for top DUI attorneys in the area and came across Mr. Rick Mueller. It was a stressful period of time, dealing with court cases, paying fees, attending classes, and potentially losing my license. The overall experience I had with Rick a...s my lawyer was extremely great. He assured me to not worry about the situation and to continue on with my daily life. Rick was extremely responsive, which I think is key when having clients to deal with. You could send him an email, and expect a reply within minutes. Not only that, but he is highly knowledgeable. With many years of experience in drunk driving defense, there should not be any surprise on why he has top rated reviews from clients who have used his service. After being hesitant on hiring an attorney, I’m glad that I hired this one. The fees of course can be overwhelming, but when you have a skilled lawyer like Rick, things go much smoother. He was able to fight my case and reduce my charges. I was supposed to have an interlock device for one year but reduced to 6 months for installation. Not only that, but my complete charges were lowered to the minimum. Attend a 3 month alcohol program, MAAD victim course, complete only 3 days of public work service, and pay some court fees, he definitely saved me money. Rick really cares and is there for his clients. He even recommended me to a cheaper insurance with filing SR-22 as well. Any questions that I had, he was able to answer thoroughly and quickly. After everything he helped me with, I felt compelled to write this review so people in similar situations have an idea of the immense support and competence Rick has to offer. Over the course of the last 3 months, Rick was there for me every single day, guiding me through the process, explaining e...very detail in a very comprehensible way and representing me to get the very best outcome possible for my DUI with a BAC almost double the legal limit. Even being out of town for his son's graduation did not stop him from responding to my emails and providing legal counsel. I was impressed by all the small details and little tricks he knew about, especially important during the first couple days after the incident. His insight and the tips he provided were crucial during this time sensitive moment, that was how I was able to get a duplicate DL for the one the Officer had confiscated, allowing me to get back on the road immediately. Other lawyers I had interviewed never mentioned any of those things, one more sign that Rick really knows his stuff and cares for his clients' best results, not just the money. He helped with recommendations regarding all the extra requirements as a result of the DUI (e.g SR-22 insurance, IID provider, etc.). San Diego, being basically a huge college and military town, has incredibly strict DUI laws. Considering the circumstances, I had a very favorable outcome and Rick was able to negotiate heavily in my favor. For example, instead of heaving to deal with an IID for 1 year, I am now only required to have it installed for 6 months. The probational period was reduced to 3 years instead of 5 and I don't have to attend a MADD program, nor do I have to have a SCRAM device around my ankle. In addition, I was required to only do 3 days of public service. To everyone who is going through a similar situation, I can highly recommend Rick and his expertise. His fees are very reasonable and you will not regret hiring him. He provides excellent service and peace of mind in a situation that can take a huge toll on you.

I recommended the services of Mr. Mueller back in 2003, not for myself, but for one of my employees that I felt made a one time mistake due to personal problems he was going through. Mr. Mueller came through for my employee and the DUI charge was dismissed through a lesser plea. Fast forward 16 years.... I came to personally need Mr. Mueller’s for my own charge of DUI.
