I had an unfortunate fluke moment and lack of emotional control that got me into a little bit of trouble ending with a Vandalism charge. I am a first-time offender, so he was able to work out an incredible deal for me to enter a new program to have it eliminated from my record. Not only was it a smooth process, the CJI program he had me enter into for it to be removed from my record has helped me so much internally. It’s an incredible cognitive behavioral program that I recommend to anyone for just day-to-day ways to handle situations and emotions. I called the office crying, the day after I got in trouble. Searching the web for any lawyer that could help. First, I've never been in trouble where I've needed an attorney... But a bad situation arose and I was recommended by my boyfriend to hire Mr Boertje to handle my case... Mr. Boertje is amazing. I had gotten a letter the day before I had an arraignment, I googled San Diego Criminal Lawyers, he was the first name that came up and I did some research. I called him, he took my case immediately and went to my arraignment for me the next day. Since I am located out ...of state, he got it rescheduled for a date that worked for me to commute back and forth. His fee was reasonable and he worked out a great payment plan with me. My case is now finished and I only had to go to jail for a book and release. Still horrible, but absolutely necessary. I ended up taking a plea and all I have to do is do 40 hours of community service. He is very kind and caring and not at all what you think of when you think of a criminal defense attorney. His staff is amazing as well. Kamron is awesome and so is the receptionist (I forget her name) but everyone is just amazing. I was so scared and freaked out but Mr. Boertje explained everything to me and put me completely at ease. I could not have asked for a better lawyer.
