overall i was very pleased to have David Boertje represent me in my 2nd DUI case he kept me out of jail and i am grateful to be out and still have my job. Kim was also very helpful during this whole case very helpful and respectful answering all the questions that i had for her. and giving me all the... information that i needed to move forward from completing my classes to doing things for the DMV. i would definitely recommend David Boertje to my family and friends He has so far been one of the best and so was his price.

David rapidly crushed my case before charges were even filed, nipping the issue in the bud before it could take on a life of its own and ruin my livelihood. He beat his cautiously optimistic estimate as to when he would put the matter to bed by months. I can't thank enough and appreciate David Boertje, and his WONDERFUL Staff. I had my first DUI and was very concerned with the situation and on how to approach it. I had to keep my license because I drive for work and that was my main goal. I had spoken to a few attorneys prior to Mr. Boertje and the...y all gave me pretty similar scenarios, but the confidence, the reassurance and the step by step of what he would do to help my case gave me confidence that he can handle my situation. Not only that, but David answered my call on a Sunday afternoon, when others I couldn't get through, so at that moment I made my choice to have him represent me. The process of documents, courts, DMV hearing, and everything that I had zero knowledge of was thoroughly explained which made me feel very comfortable. Nothing was hidden from me and Kimberly was extremely helpful with making sure all my questions were answered. She helped me with the documents and was always attentive to my needs and reassuring. On 2-25-20, I went to the Vista Adult Probation office and submitted my monthly Drug & Alcohol test. After completion of my test, I returned to the parking lot and was ambushed by two senior probation officers who demanded to see my current driver’s license. I presented them with what I believed wa...s my current driver’s license only to discover that it was in “suspension status”, which I was unaware of. I was immediately handcuffed and within an hour, I was booked into the Vista jail looking at a 2-year sentence for violating my probation terms and conditions. My girlfriend immediately sprang into action and contacted Mr. David M. Boertje Attorney at Law for help in this critical matter. The following morning, Mr. Boertje met with me to personally discuss my case and get me out of jail. Mr. Boertje arrived very well prepared. He had already acquired and read my entire file, took copious notes regarding my history and had prepared a strong defense…amazing effort in a short period of time. Due to a previous probation violation, my case had become complicated and looked dire regarding any chance for a timely release. I personally was mortified, extremely depressed and looking at a 2-year jail sentence. Mr. Boertje remained calm, extremely professional and indicated the he would do everything in his power to obtain a positive outcome in my court hearing early in the following week. On Monday 3-2-20, Mr. Boertje met with me again to discuss my case regarding potential outcomes in my court hearing scheduled for the next day. Apparently, the Probation Department had not prepared their report in time for the hearing and things were looking badly regarding any chance of getting released from jail. I was panicked, depressed and felt hopeless. Mr. Boertje again remained calm and indicated that he would discuss matters with the prosecutors, the Judge and work towards a positive outcome in this complex and difficult matter. I was personally crushed mentally and physically and expected the worst case scenario. The following day in court, Mr. Boertje met with me just before my hearing and indicated that he had negotiated my “immediate release from jail” based on my ability to obtain a valid driver’s license in a 24-hour period. I was completely surprised, dumbfounded and exhilarated to hear the good news. I couldn’t believe that Mr. Boertje had negotiated such an outstanding resolution to my case in light of my situation (and in less than a week)…amazing! After immediate acquisition of my driver’s license at the DMV, the Judge placed me back on my regular probation terms and conditions (i.e., no jail time). Without the aggressive intervention of Mr. Boertje and his outstanding communication skills with the prosecutor and Judge, I most likely would have suffered a much more negative outcome. Now, just a few days later, I am able to continue enjoying life’s activities and live happily with my girlfriend (an Angel sent by God).

I had an unfortunate fluke moment and lack of emotional control that got me into a little bit of trouble ending with a Vandalism charge. I knew in my gut when a Detective called me that I was going to need some help to get through this. I found David’s website first when I went online. I didn’t eve...n look around further. I immediately felt comfortable reading his reviews, his Bio and everything about him, and I contacted him right away. I got a call back within minutes, and he helped guide me through such an emotional process before having to turn myself in to be arrested to be booked. He guided me throughout the entire process the couple days prior, helped me set up a bail bondsman prior to so that I was ready, booked and out within a few hours. Not only was it such a guided, helpful process, it also helped make me feel not as scared going in and more in control of the situation, rather than go in blindsided not knowing what to do. He kept in contact with my husband in the entire time, and from the day I spoke to him he answers every text and phone call within minutes and is so personable. He makes you feel like an equal, and not like a criminal and just a normal person who made a mistake. I am a first-time offender, so he was able to work out an incredible deal for me to enter a new program to have it eliminated from my record. Not only was it a smooth process, the CJI program he had me enter into for it to be removed from my record has helped me so much internally. It’s an incredible cognitive behavioral program that I recommend to anyone for just day-to-day ways to handle situations and emotions. I wouldn’t be where I am with this process without the help of David and his assistance. No doubt! I am forever grateful. Thank you!
