Biography
Brenda Lopez is a Certified Family Law Specialist, who has represented family law clients in a variety of cases in San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Imperial Counties. Ms. Lopez has successfully litigated a plethora of complex family law cases, touching upon both economic and non-economic issues.
Ms. Lopez currently serves as a Board of Directors for the San Diego County Bar, after previously serving on the Family Law Section as Chair, Vice-Chair and Member at Large. She also currently serves as a Board of Directors for the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association Scholarship Fund. She also serves as a volunteer for Promises2Kids, where she helps mentor foster youth. Ms. Lopez served as Vice President of San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association in 2020/2021 and served as Co-Chair of the Community Services Committee and Gender Equity Committee of Lawyers Club of San Diego.
Ms. Lopez, who is bilingual English-Spanish, earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Chicana/o Studies from San Diego State University, where she was a member of the Psychology Honor Society, Psi Chi. As a law student at Thomas Jefferson School of Law Ms. Lopez was placed on the Distinguished Honor Roll and also became a Certified Legal Intern, which permitted her to appear at several court proceedings concurrent with her studies, gaining invaluable litigation . Lopez’s cultural, educational, and legal background, paired with her strong work ethic, have allowed her to achieve many favorable results on behalf of her clients.

Professional and straight forward
