Miracle workers

Allan's firm came highly recommended to me from Deron Smallcomb at Easy Fiancé Visas. During a consultation with Deron in December 2013 about obtaining a K-1 visa for my fiancée, I explained that she had a cancelled tourist visa. Deron explained that my fiancée would probably require at minimum a 601... waiver which he did not handle. He referred me to Allan Lolly who I contacted and he promptly called me back. During the consultation with Allan, I learned that my fiancée's case was a bit more complicated than expected. We had a few phone conversations and exchanged e-mails over a two week period during which time Allan explained the waiver process and gathered enough information to make a decision if this was a case he could be successful with. During our final phone conversation, Allan asked for me to explain things going on in my life that could qualify for hardship. After determining that the care I provide for my autistic brother and aging mother would qualify me for a 601 hardship waiver, Allan determined he could represent me and my fiancée and while he did not guarantee that the waiver would be approved, he felt confident that we could obtain a waiver. Allan explained the fees for his service and a payment plan and what types of letters and documents I would need to gather over the coming months, a contract was e-mailed to me and I signed the contract the following day. Although Allan's firm prepares K-1 visas, his firm worked with Easy Fiancé Visas to prepare the K-1 portion while Allan's firm prepared the 601 and 212 waivers. Immediately after signing the contracts, I was contacted by Schuyler Lolly who explained the process to me, gave a timeline for how long the process might take and e-mailed me information that would be needed to prepare the waivers. The K-1 process happened relatively quickly but delays in obtaining a passport for my fiancée's daughter slowed the process to a crawl. After almost a year since beginning the process, we finally attended the K-1 interview in Juarez. Just as Allan and Schuyler explained to me, my fiancée was denied the visa but granted the opportunity to file a 601 and 212 waivers. While we waited to get the passports, Schuyler continued to gather information and even put in a FOIA request for border entrance and exit records for my fiancée so that there would be no surprises. After the interview, I sent everything I had gathered over the past year to Allan's firm and Schuyler took everything I had sent and composed a very thorough and accurate brief to accompany the waiver application. It took a few months to put together the entire waiver packet as we had to continue to gather and send information and evidence but in the end I felt very confident about what we had sent. Allan and Schuyler summarized our situation and made a strong case for why it should be approved. It took 6 months for our 601 and 212 waivers to be adjudicated but three days before Christmas 2015, we were approved. To summarize, my fiancée had a very complicated history of entrances, exits and overstays. The core of the case was that she had worked while living in the states which added misrepresentation to the visa violations. Allan and Schuyler worked with these issues to create a waiver packet based on my need to remain in California to take care of my brother and mother as well as my own responsibilities. Throughout the 1 1/2 years it took to file the waiver, they always remained in communication with me even during the period when we could do nothing except wait. Everything that Allan and Schuyler told me would happen during the process happened as they said it would so there were no surprises. My fiancée is currently in the states now thanks to Allan and Schuyler and we are preparing for our wedding to fulfill the K-1 requirements. I highly recommend ASL Law Firm for anyone who needs to file the 601 and 212 waivers or advice. Thanks Allan & Schuyler

An attorney you can trust when you are moving through the immigration system.

My wife (then my fiancée) and I hired Allan and his firm to help us through the K-1 Visa Process five years ago. Allan and his entire team were flawless through the entire process, guiding us through exactly what was needed to be done, and how to do it. USCIS is generally a "one strike and you're o...ut" type of organization - which means it is imperative to do things right the first time through. To maximize your chance of doing so - seriously consider adding Allan to your team. Our process was seamless - and it was specifically because we worked with Allan and his team that it was so simple. We are happy today - because we hired Allan and his team five years ago. Allan truly was our "Immigration Law Sherpa" - and you would do well to consider him doing the same for you.

Excellent Service

Allan and his paralegal, Taylor, did a fantastic job preparing the documentation and advising my husband and I throughout our green card process. Although my husband and I live in two separate states in the east coast, and Allan was able to accurately guide us via email and phone calls. Taylor was pr...ompt in her replies, and was always able to answer our questions. Of all of the lawyers we contacted earlier in the process, Allan and his associates were the only ones that really took the time to answer or questions make make us feel comfortable. My husband received his green card last week, and we are very grateful to Allan and Taylor for their assistance.

Wonderful service and business!

My fiance and I really enjoyed working with these highly skilled attorneys who worked very hard for us. Before hiring Allan and Schuyler to assemble our case, I read many reviews about different attorneys who specialized in the i601 waiver. It's not that I didn't see other firms who got good reviews,... I kept seeing Allan's firm come up time and time again when searching for an i601 attorney specialist. Many people I noticed that hired Allan and his team had nothing but great things to say about them and how their particular cases were handled. I had a really great feeling about hiring them and our consultation with Allan was direct and honest. Allan gave us our chances in success based off my life/past events that could strengthen and make our case (if we had one). At the end of the consultation, he surprised me by guaranteed success to my fiance and I. I was so happy to hear that we had a workable case. The confidence in his voice was a relief to hear after the unspeakable trauma my fiance and I went through after hearing about the denial of her k1 visa. His guarantee was golden and they came through for us. The only complaint if any that I had was out of everyone's control. At times, communication with our i601 attorney was slow and took up to a week in some cases to get a response through email with questions we had about the process. We were unaware that our attorney was working with multiple clients and their own individual cases. In this case, we just remained patient and all of our emails were answered clearly and with the direction we looked for. In some cases, I personally received phone calls from our i601 attorney to get information and ask questions which was very nice. Thank you Allan and Schuyler for everything.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
