Posted by Phyllis and Nazar | October 22, 2015 | Hired Attorney | Immigration

Thanks to the entire Allan S. Lolly team!

I have never had to deal with immigration until my then fiancé, Nazar, was trying to immigrate to the US so that we could get married and live our lives together here in peace. Nazar is a Pakistani and as I was to find out that in itself seemed to make this process harder than usual. I started to... look for legal advice from an immigration attorney and decided to use the services of Allan S. Lolly even though his office was in San Diego and I lived in Seattle. So all our dealings were through emails and occasional phone conversations. We tried to get an I-129F visa and also filled out I-601 and I-212 paperwork due to my health and personal issues. During this process and the failure of the I-129F my fiancé and I decided that I would come to Pakistan and while there we would get married. After which we resubmitted our new paperwork as a married couple. During this process we had several paralegals in the Lolly firm help us. The next step was to process the I-130 and then updated our I-601 and I-212. This process was long and took an enormous amount to complete. During this process Schuyler Lolly became our main contact person. She was extremely helpful, patient with our many concerns and we truly felt like she understood our situation and was willing to do everything she could to help us. She gave us her support. Schuyler pushed for what was right to the very end when she contacted the government department that finally seemed to get the embassy we were dealing with to complete a process that was sitting in a stagnant pool of bureaucracy. This process took about 7 years to complete and now we are together proudly in the USA where we can enjoy peace, family and a good life. If it were not for Allan S. Lolly and his firm and most importantly the work of Schuyler Lolly we would probably still be apart. We owe them our happiness. Phyllis and Nazar

Phyllis and Nazar. I very much appreciate this post. It was a torturous case, for each of us. My apologies things took so long. The U.S. consulate in Islamabad assumed the marriage visa would be terminated because of the multiple bars. It appeared as if there was no chance to have them waived, but then when the bars were lifted, I believe the consulate resisted because it had already closed the file and returned it to the U.S. Having the file recalled was very much like pulling teeth, and then no one was in a good mood. In the end, he has the visa. It's just so unfortunate that problems arise in government without good cause. I am so glad you came to us early because we did all things correctly and there was no basis to continue resisting. Best wishes on your life together. Kindly, Allan

Our case was not easy since my husband and I lived on a cruise ship.

Our case was not easy since my husband and I lived on a cruise ship. After my husband and I decided to get married we began to seek for an immigration lawyer so that he could give us advise regarding our situation: that we were on international waters, sometimes on the Pacific, other times on the At...lantic most of the times on the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and spent little to no time on land or our home countries. With a stoke of luck I came across Allan's review, and I decided to call him and present him our situation to see what he advised. I knew we would never meet in person the lawyer we chose, so my husband and I were very hesitant about hiring somebody we found on the internet. But believe me, he talked to me with so much care, he explained to me the process in detail of getting my husband the American Residency (all of this before we hired him), and every time we had a question regarding his services, he would answer promptly and answered every little question. Finally I asked him for a way I could see his records and he sent me his bar license number, I saw he had an impeccable record and this gave me comfort to hire him plus his caring voice. As soon as my husband and I said YES we want to hire you, all the process started and was very professional. We did everything through e-mails. Our para legal attorney was Taylor Collins, she handled our case exceptionally well. I think it is normal that most of the time, not always, she took two days to answer our e-mails, so I got used to that rhythm. We understood that they might have had many other cases to attend, but still she always answered them at all times. She was always on top of our case. Very well organized with our documents. I think I don't have the right words to express how well she handled our case. Since we started the process until my husband got his visa approved we waited 1 1/2 year. This is a process that needs a lot a patience. Me and my husband were very confident that we were in good hands. This is how her professionalism made us fell. Now that he's got his visa approved we can finally get jobs on land and start thinking about future babies. Thank you for your great services. Will definitely recommend you!

A trustworthy, knowledgable, and caring firm.

High class organization. Very polite and professional. Worked with us until we were granted a k1 visa. I will be retaining them for all further immigration issues and recommend everyone else do the same. They prefer to only speak by e-mail but that understandable as they wish to keep their phones fre...e for emergencies/urgent issues. There were a couple times a day or two would pass before an e-mail was answered but it was never something that needed answered right away. My paralegal was Cynthia Lopez and she was always thoughtful, caring, and supportive as well. They walked me through and were available to help all the way up until the interview date. They even give a phenomenal paper to hand the officer in case of denial and are prepared to help you instead of just give up after a denial which luckily I did not encounter. I am excited to retain him and get my fiances green card and further down the road citizenship with his help. My mother will also be using him to get her husbands citizenship.

Excellent Service

Allan and his paralegal, Taylor, did a fantastic job preparing the documentation and advising my husband and I throughout our green card process. Although my husband and I live in two separate states in the east coast, and Allan was able to accurately guide us via email and phone calls. Taylor was pr...ompt in her replies, and was always able to answer our questions. Of all of the lawyers we contacted earlier in the process, Allan and his associates were the only ones that really took the time to answer or questions make make us feel comfortable. My husband received his green card last week, and we are very grateful to Allan and Taylor for their assistance.

THE NUMBER ONE LAW FIRM TO RETAIN IF YOU WANT ANY IMMIGRATION ISSUES RESOLVED

In a word: Outstanding. I retained you for Anamie’s Fiancée K-1 Visa in July 2010 and we are now at the end of the road on December 13, 2014. Anamie is a U.S. citizen. Your firm completed each and every step along this journey professionally and in an organized manner. Any time I had a question ...for either you or Tami during this four and a half year period, your reply was prompt, courteous and, most of the times, comforting since many of my questions dealt with issues that caused me stress. Without the thorough preparation of Tami and other staff at your firm, this process would not have been completed smoothly, effortlessly, and in such a timely manner. Thank you.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
