Issues with Allan Lolly

I hired beginning in Summer of 2008. Allan S. Lolly and associates (at the time Holmes & Lolly, but now Allan S. Lolly And Associates) to assist in obtaining a visa for my wife. Allan S. Lolly mishandled my case throughout the entire process. I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

This former client already posted a negative review with Avvo 6 months ago. His recitation of the facts were disputed by this office and remain in dispute. This second, more recent posting can be for no purpose other than to attack. It is manipulative. Repeat negative comments like this run afoul of the spirit and intent of consumer feedback. One consumer, one comment. This posting is in bad faith.

Four Prior marriages to Philippinos!

I had been married three other times to Philippine Girls, I wanted to marry again! and knew it would be a very tough sell to get INS to give me a real chance yet again. I hired Mr. Lolly and his exacting standards, and attention to every detail... and amazing feel for what the INS officer would try t...o do to stop me, (30 year age gap!) allowed me to document each phase or our relationship, and to proceed to USCIS with no fear, because i was sincere, and had played by the rules, and had Lolly filtering and rejecting any and all documents that did not meet his standards. once they were all in perfect order, the interview was hell, but we won! and the car arrived in 10 days!

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. The immigration officer was skeptical about the sincerity of this relationship due to the age difference. I know the stress you were under because the relationship is serious. I am glad things worked out.

Extremely happy!

I'd just like to say a huge thank you to Allan Lolly and his staff for having handled my K1 visa application. I relocated from Australia to the US to marry my partner. I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism and speed in which the process was handled and completed. We've been happily m...arried now for over a year .. Thank you!

Unreliable

I paid this firm a down payment of $600 to represent my fiancee and myself in the pursuance of a Fiancee Visa. The firm took my money and never delivered one bit of information to me. Thankfully, I thought to close my Master Card account before they took any more money from me. I am now in the pro...cess of filing complaints with the Better Business bureau and the Attorney General's Office in an attempt to recover my $600.

This comment is false. The client wanted to move quickly and paid a deposit on a Friday afternoon with the understanding that we would start that same afternoon so he could work over the weekend, a good arrangement. On Saturday, he complained that he did not receive our initial client packet on Friday after he paid the deposit. I offered to drive to the office with my assistant and get the packet out on Sunday morning and then investigate on Monday the problem. He responded by email to terminate services. On Monday, my assistant reported that she did in fact begin correspondence with the client on Friday as agreed and there was no bounce back. I felt there was enough effort on our part to show good faith and I wanted to speak by phone with the client. I did not feel there was just cause under the circumstance to terminate services and wanted to try and smooth things over. His response was to post comments like this in multiple places. There was no effort to take further monies and so the comment is false.

The Most Successful Immigration Attorney in the US

So many people told me it was crazy to marry a woman in Australia but we wanted to be together. The plan was for me to move there. Unfortunately, they did not accept me because I am over 45 years old. We decided to relocate my fiancee and her daughter to New York instead. Allan Lolly made this possi...ble. We followed all of his instructions and avoided many pitfalls that we certainly would have otherwise made. Today she is my wife and we have a great life together thanks to Allan Lolly. He basically held our hands and told us what to do step by step. His skilled associates reviewed our documents and returned them for correction. When all was ready to his specifications, his office filed our papers for us. The total time for approval from the US was a miraculous 5 weeks!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
